Jus’ Mac

The food was great and fun combinations to choose from. It was just what you would want in a Mac & Cheese restaurant. However, make sure to justify your receipt with your bank statement. They opted to add $ 1.00 to my amount. Not cool!

If this was a a rating of the food, I’d give it a five. If this was a rating of the service, I’d give it a one. Of course it’s great food. Like Ramen, it’s one of those foods that when you think about what you grew up with, this is SO much more expensive than what you’re used to… go figure. But it’s prime ingredients that make the difference. But because this is a rating of the overall experience which factors in both aspects, I have to provide an averaged rating.
Between the lack of acknowledgement when I walked in, the needing to repeat myself 3 times when ordering a simple order, the overcharge for what the shift lead called an «up-​charge» (which just like calling beef beef and not cow, it isn’t good to be called as what it really is to a customer), the lack of attention giving to each guest, and the rushing of guests out (including observing guests who showed up at 9:45 and were served in takeout dishes without their request… if you’re gonna charge $ 10+ for a bowl of mac, don’t be pulling crap like that). The one redeeming factor I did get when I was having trouble connecting to the Internet, I had a server who gave me continual assistance until I was able to connect. The service wasn’t awful, it just wasn’t service. It was just extremely transactional.
BUT! The food is great.

This is a great concept I would like to own a franchise of. I have been going since they first opened in this surprisingly off beat neighborhood some years ago. I still continue to make the 40min drive just for a meal. I love mac & cheese and they do it up right. Can be very filling for the average portion eater. Just get it to go as it will still be good reheated in the oven the next day.
I recommend for the newbies to start off with one of their creative traditional set menu item and then customize from there so you can build your taste bud pallet before you start adding things to your dish. That way you first opinion will be a true one and not one of a dish you made taste bad by being ridiculous. Remember just because you like things separately doesn’t mean that if you toss them into a dish they will go well together.
Can’t wait for one to open up in the woodlands with a larger bar with more wine and beer selections to choose from. Craft beers are a perfect pairing for their food. So drink & be merry my friends.
For groups larger than 6 get it to go as they can’t accommodate you by combining tables. They keep their overhead lower by offering a smaller square footage dining area inside.
Improvement NOTE: Parking lot could be redone and entrance made wider with larger signs saying entrance only. As well trim the plant heights down so drivers pulling in can see better at night & during the day at peak times. Safety first my friends. Safety First.

Ugh, I wish I could get jus Mac delivered to me daily. This establishment has always has the best service, friendly people and wonderful food!
They’ve taken a fun culinary approach to your average Mac and cheese. My favorite is the buffalo Mac. Filled with cheese, buffalo sauce, chicken and topped with breadcrumbs and blue cheese (I remove that and get ranch on the side!)
The personal size is plenty for one, I sometimes have leftovers! My guy friend always gets the bigger size and has leftovers (not a bad idea)!
They have over 10 different mixes of Mac and cheese– I have yet to try one I didn’t like. Highly suggest trying this place out– I imagine it’s a knockout for parents with kids.

I specifically asked for no onions on my to-​go order and it had onions. It was my first time going there and I’m never going again! Aside from them getting my order wrong, my boyfriend and I didn’t enjoy the food. My cheeseburger Mac and cheese was more like Mac and ground beef. Gross. Very nice place though !! :(

I love this restaurant. The mac and cheese is so good! We try different flavors each time we go and have never been disappointed.

This was first time eating here & I was very impressed. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent. All I know is, I will be frequenting this place in the near future.

I come swearing to order «something different this time» but I always end up ordering The Big Easy because it is always perfection! This is our go to place for laid back date night!

this place serves the BEST macaroni! we drive nearly two hours to eat at this place, it’s that good. my favorite is the big blue and it is always incredible. the place is usually packed but we were pleasantly surprised to find it not horribly busy on a Saturday night. we will definitely come back again and again.

Jus’ Mac is true southern comfort food. I’ve never had anything from there that I didn’t like, but I definitely have my favorites. The best thing to do is go here with a few people so you can all split/​share a few things from the menu. I highly recommend the Pit Master (seriously, if you can only get one, this is the one), Buffalo Chicken, Chili Cheese and the Ponchovilla.
The personal size is typically enough for me if I don’t want to feel disgustingly full after (trust me, I’ve put away the regular sized ones a time or two). Typically if I go with one other person, splitting three of the personal sized ones is the perfect amount. They have a selection of booze and it’s all mostly local.
Probably the only down sides to this place are that its a bit small and the parking lot is tiny. Definitely not a place to bring a big group, but it’s a great «to go» option if you call ahead. Definitely make this a priority to visit!!!

We loved the patio so did our three puppies… great food!!! Excellent staff. They were very attentive very friendly and didn’t just leave you standing there that actually acknowledge you. We’ll be back again and again. My honey ordered the Half baked and ordered their Popeye. They were both delicious and appetizing. Its perfect for catching up with a friend over the best comfy food in the world.

This was my first visit and I loved my cheeseburger mac with mushroom! Mac done adult-​style Be prepared for richness!!!

Always liked the food, but they need better serving processes. Called in an order and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. Showed up 18 minutes later and was told I had to wait in the regular ordering line for 20 minutes to pick it up. They need a separate process for those that call in pick up orders:

This place was exactly as I expected.
Casual environment, order at the counter with the menu on the wall kind of place.
They have a wide selection of Mac mixups, but the only ones that seemed to really taunt me were served on various other days of the week. :/​
I got the golden bacon Mac balls to start. Those baby’s were hot! The bacon was thick, which gave it that perfect crunch.
My fiancé got the hangover Mac. His didn’t come with any bread to accompany and it was smothered in peppers on top. He said it was ok.
I had the ponchovilla which was clearly the winner of the two. The chips had an awkward spice on them though that I didn’t particularly care for.
Overall, this place is just ok. I’d probably come back, but only as a last resort.

Cons– The Panini was almost $ 10, a little high just for a sandwich and chip. Also it took a long to get the sandwich to me considering there was only 3 people there. Parking was difficult to get into, missed it the first pass, and almost got hit from behind (even when my blinker was on from aways).
Its a hip little place, I wish there were more options. I will be back.

As you can see I was super enthusiastic about this place when it opened. My enthusiasm has dwindled over the past few years… Today was my final visit. First, the guy at the front counter seemed distracted. I specifically told him no bacon on the wedge salad and it came out loaded with bacon. I took it back and he said — you should have told me. After that he was very polite though. However, when I was at the counter he was all over the place. When he ran my card he turned around and was dealing with other orders. That is fine but the card ran and I waited… and waited. I then went and got my drink. He still had his back to me. I took the paper off the CC machine, signed and put it down. As I was walking away he finally turned around. I know he wasn’t doing it on purpose but at the time I was one of two customers there so really didn’t make sense.
What I am really disappointed with is the food. Just nothing spectacular. Today I had the wedge salad which was good — but hard to go wrong there. The Mac and cheese balls were like the other Mac dishes I’ve had the last 4 times I’ve been there. Nothing that pops — nothing special. The cheese sauce is bland. It’s just ok and for the price I expect a little more culinary imagination when it comes to the most basic part of their menu — the cheese sauce.
I won’t return. Always have high hopes, am always bummed when I leave.

Hangover Mac and Cheeseburger Mac are so goooooood! First time here and I love it! Love this place!!! Every thing is great!

Before our visit to the Hobby Center, we stopped in for some good ol mac and cheese! I have been here twice and each time it’s been awesome! I love trying different ones each time. Next time I want that BBQ one!

If you love mac n cheese then your prayers have been answered with Jus Mac! I’ve had a few and have never been disappointed. Recently (only on Sunday) I got the chicken & waffle Mac and was in heaven. I was nervous the flavored wouldn’t mix but nope! Must try!

The Buffali Chicken was amazing but i highly recommend the Ponchololvilla…

I’ve noticed the place hasn’t had the same friendly atmosphere it used to have.
That said, the food is delicious if you like macaroni and cheese, and i LOVE the Hangover Mac and cheese. Delicious food, and a good take out option.

This place is pretty great if you want a heavy mac meal with variations for every taste. My most recent visit, I tried buffalo mac. It was delicious!
I have to say. Personal sizing is a lot heavier of a portion than it looks. I was hurting trying to finish that portion, so I can’t imagine ordering regular.

Why 4 stars? Because they serve nothing but mac-​n-​freakin-​cheese!

Do I really even have to write this review? Their menu consists of 24 different kinds of mac-​n-​cheese. This is something I’ve long dreamed for in Tampa, but in Houston, it’s a reality. If I lived in Houston, I would surely be a regular by now.
For my one visit to-​date, I enjoyed the Pit Master mac. I REALLY need to make my return trip on a Sunday to try their chicken-​n-​waffles mac-​n-​cheese. I always thought you were only allowed to have one –n– hyphenated phrase per menu item, but Jus’ Mac is breaking down barriers.
