I stopped in this afternoon for lunch. No waitress could be bothered to come out to the tables. I went to the bar who said yeah, waitresses were coming around. After awhile I left having been unable to get food or drink.

Great place for watching the games. Also good during crawfish season! Food is the typical bar food. Good casual place for chilling and watching sports.

We went to watch the Pay Per View boxing fight on Sat night. ON the web page of this establishment, Junction bar and grill it states that all UFC and Pay Per View boxing matches are free. We entered the bar sat at a table waiting on friends when the bar tender approached us asking for our arm bands. We said we did not have them she proceeded to say it was 10.00 for men and 20.00 for women. Yeah that right what discrimination… Then we explained the webite says its free. The owner came over we showed him the website and he looked us in the eyes and said«so you think you will watch the fight for free». We said your website says all these events are free? He then said«I will not honor that you have to pay Ill fix the webstie». We decided to stay put because our friends had not arrived when they did they at the door were asked to pay and they disputed the charge because they like us said its free. The owner let them in free. Yeah that’s right! THen we could not get served very efficently and ordered our drinks in the 6th round received them in the 11th round. My friends asked for bottled water, received Nestles and was charged $ 4.00 for Figi water… The owner came up to us at the end of the night and said we should be «happy he let our friends in free». We expressed our disappointment in the lie on the website and him not honoring it. We also expressed disappoint in the service. THe owner then got his security to come over like we were being unruly. HE was rude, not a good business man and myself and my friends and anyone I Can tell will never spend money on this establishment again. I will complain to anyone who will listen.

Junction Bar & Grill is a no frills bar with a great semi open-air feel and high ceilings. They have a small private lot that fills up quickly but there is a bunch of convenient street parking not too far away. Like most bars, the walls are covered with tv’s and the manager is very helpful when it comes to getting the channel you want to watch. When its not too busy and you have a large enough group he has let up keep the remotes to mute during commercials. While I love the atmosphere and really enjoy relaxing here, I am not a fan of eating here. It is not my kind of fare. It is definitely on the lower end of the bar food I’ve had.

Katie’s love it. Great place to go on Mondays, Tuesday’s, Thursday’s, Friday’s, Sunday’s, Saturday’s, and some nights. I mean, whatever. I like beer.

Went a couple Saturdays ago in between big college football games. The beer prices were pretty steep and the bartenders weren’t all that friendly. What we noticed were the DISGUSTING air vents all along the ceilings and windows that had not been cleaned/dusted/wiped off in MONTHS. Dust/lint/whatever it was caked the entire vent. How can that be sanitary?

Went during happy hour. The crawfish could have been better. I felt like it was not cooked with the seasoning. Although that was a let down, the wings are definitely the best in the Midtown area. Pricing was a bit weird. They charged extra for«extra dressing» on the wings and butter/rub, corn, and potatoe on the side for the crawfish which I didn’t ask for. Just include that in the price. The add on puts me off a bit. The 32oz $ 4 beer happy hour beer special was solid.

Always thought this place looked cool from the outside looking in. Yes, last night when I went in it was raining — there was so much water leaking through the roof it was literally falling into your drinks. The waitress was cool and helpful but she needed more help the service suffered because she seemed to her on her own, which is not her fault. The shortcuts getting this place up and extended is very obvious. no one should be covered in rain after sitting in your bar on a rainy day.

Let me first say, we’re friendly bartenders… I don’t know What karma pyback this is But… this bartender is a C U Next Tuesday kind of gal. She obviously needs a new schedule to deal with more douchey ice house type people. And their sign out front is correct, false advertising. junction juice shots were supposed to be $ 3 and we were charged $ 4… That’s why it’s dead on a Friday.

First time here Just left here food was good that’s why the two stars. Service sucks. Once the bartender took my order it took 5 minutes to get the beer, it was not crowded either. Then when she brought my food I asked her how much the draft beer cost she turned walking away said something but between her back to me walking away and the music I couldn’t make out a word. She never bother to follow up either. I was going to leave a dollar tip but as I thought about it why tip someone who was disrespectful to me so I left half a dollar. Won’t go back there plenty of other bars

Steak night was great– $ 13 steak gets you a steak and partially loaded potato. Website says a salad was included but that’s apparently incorrect. The steak was still delish though. I’ll most likely be back again!

Stopped in early for Another crawfish craving! Seasoning a 6 out of 10. Not bad for still early in the season. Last year we loved them here and suspect will only get better further in the season. Last night, good music and comfortable setting! Bartender made his Bloody Mary just right :-)

Cool lil space. Dropped in for a cold one after a crazy day. Since it was rainy out, there wasn’t a crowd. Which worked for me bc I wasn’t in the mood for waiting. Bartnerder was really nice. She seemed familiar w/the folks that were hangin out & she must be pretty on point at all times. Wish I could think of her name… she had blazin red hair & was very pretty. In any case she was quick & friendly, but not overbearing either. And thank goodness I didn’t feel like I was about to be attacked by ecoli & some other microb that can only be rid w/use of an Rx or shot when I dropped in the ladies room! Just because it’s a bar doesn’t mean the RR is cleared to be stank & nasty. In any event I went on a Tues. & it was $ 2 domestics & tacos. I ordered a taco for the heck of it & for 2 bucks it wasn’t bad at all. A regular sized(not mini fajita size) tortilla filled with fajita, lettuce, tomatoe & cheese. Meat was pretty tasty & there was a good amount in the tortillia. Came w/salsa, but it wasnt the best ever… but didn’t expect that. I mean it’s an ice house, not ya aunt Maria’s homemade salsa or a taco truck… ijs. Oddly enough the thing that stood out was the beer glass itself. It was heavier & thick; the quality of the glass was def not those $ 1 store mugs many places carry. When she took it outta the fridge, it dayum near stuck to her hand! LOL And it kept my brew nice & frosty which is NEVA a bad thing in my book… who wants to drink hot beer? I’ll be back for sure. They’re deck is just waitin for me to come back & try those Sunday $ 10 mimosa pitchers I saw posted on the wall. :-)

I guess I was just not prepared for this place, or in the right frame of mind for a sports bar. It was loud and just SO many TV’s everywhere. Plus it was a weird mix of people I felt out of place here, which is hard for me. Someone at our table ordered food, and I do have to say the fries were good(I sampled a few of hers). Probably won’t venture out to Junction Bar anytime in the future.

Yeah I think I’m finally growing up. A date invited me here so ok I’ll try it. I walked in and wth? Drunken frat boys at the door and I still don’t know what the heck they said to me, their speech was so slurred but they were ogling my chest and I had on a crew neck sweater Unappetizing looking bar food. I asked about beer selection and my Stella Artois did not taste right. Clean your freaking taps! Garage type door open and yes it’s about 45 degrees. Freezing inside. Asked about another Karbach then what was on my side of the bar. She told me there’s one on the other side of the bar. Of course she had it wrong, it was another type of beer. She had poured a whole pint. I told her I would taste it since it was NOT what I asked for. I didn’t like whatever it was? Told her I’m not paying for that pint. You told me it was a Karbach. That was the end of the service. She never said another word to me the rest of my visit Bathroom doors that don’t close. Having to pass around the toilet tissue in the the middle of the afternoon on Saturday in the ladies room. Like I said in my check-in. Maybe I’m becoming a snob, I can’t deal with bartenders that don’t know what they’re selling and nasty bathrooms. This is not my style. So this place has alot of TVs. So what?

I am just now getting a chance to review Junction. My husband and I went to watch the UT game that was only showing on the LHN and Junction promised to have it. It was very busy and took a long time to get a drink. Also, they were slingboxing the game and the picture was awful and kept going out. The manager/owner was not very nice. He seemed very stressed out with made sense because he was having technical problems but he was acting rude to his patrons. We have returned once and the service was still lacking so we are probably not going to go back. There are plenty of places in the area that I am willing to try.

This is the brown M&M in a bag of much more colorful sports bars. Nothing to get excited about. No one would put it to the side to save for later because it is special or a rare find. Stereotypical frat dude and sorority chics«Like, ya know, OMG!» Only went because a group of friends watched a game there. I’m a higher end sports bar gal. Good location if you just don’t care and like the valley girl frat scene. Like for reals!

I went to Junction to watch a University of Texas football game. It was packed. There were extra chairs outside for this game. They have lots of free parking in the lot next door as well as its own lot. The bathroom needs to be cleaned more often on such big game days. The menu has a decent selection of food. We got the hummus and pita which tasted fine. Our waitress was organized, hardworking, patient, and attentive – especially considering how many people she was serving.
