Jay was nice to talk to and came right away, I was nervous about the job he did because of a few comments he made, so I hired another company to check it. They said it was all good except the cord he capped off needed to be in a box.
The new guy also complemented Jay on knowing he could use R427 to refill my R22 unit without having to replace my unit.
So it turns out, Jay did a great job after all. He added 7 pounds of freon at $ 35 per pound, which after reading reviews for other companies, turns out to be a good price.
The only reason I didn’t give him 5 stars was that he didn’t instill confidence of his work in me, so I was afraid he didn’t do it right.

Called Jay’s A/​C & Heating to have Furnace Checked for any gas leaks. Johnny arrived and completed job in a more than reasonable time frame and Heater is running fine. I’m a completely satisfied customer.

Called to get my parents AC unit checked after getting horrible service with another company. Johnny came to check the unit at a lower cost than other companies. He was professional throughout and came the next day to fix the unit. He was also honest with what we need to do in the future in case we have any other issues. I am so grateful and glad that honest people are still out there.

I should put zero stars! A technician came the day after we requested but that was fine with us. Upon arriving and spending time doing some diagnostic work we were told «bad news». There was a coil leak and all of our freon had leaked away. To fix it he said would cost $ 1,800. He offered to make the repairs in about four hours. My wife politely declined the immediate repair and we sought a second opinion from a reputable and respected repair agent. Same diagnosis… About $ 900. You draw your own conclusion. Drives into a very nice subdivision and into lovely home and is speaking to a woman. Ya think… just maybe… Stay clear.

Called em out early Saturday morning about coming to inspect my broken ac unit and they just gave me the run around. He said he would be at my house within two hours. I Called him back 2 hours later and said he wouldn’t be able to come out. So i basically wasted 2 hours when i could’ve been calling other companies. I wouldn’t recommend somebody that doesn’t get back to you when they say they will nor anybody that cant give you a straight answer.

I have a rental house in Houston and my tenant called on a Saturday night that one of the AC units wasn’t working. I called several places Sunday morning and couldn’t find anyone to come out on a Sunday until I talked to Johnny. He was there within an hour and half and had diagnosed the problem. He had to order a part and was back Monday morning to fix the AC unit. I would recommend him to anyone who was in a time crunch. Very professional.

Johnny is a member of my BNI networking group. I first called him to further investigate an issue that my buyer’s home inspector found. He set an appointment for a range of one hour and said he would call me when he was on his way, and he did. He identified the problem with the HVAC system, gave a fair quote providing my clients with the information they needed. A few hours later, he emailed me his invoice, along with the formal quote. I am very impressed with Johnny and feel confident referring him to anyone I know. I have since used him to handle my rental properties. He has been a lifesaver — he is quick and honest and fair!

Johnny was very friendly and honest. We had decided on 3.5 ton ac and somehow when they came out to install they had put in a 2 ton. Johnny noticed quickly within a couple of days and was back out apologizing for the mistake and corrected it that day. It is hard to find honest people today. We are very thankful for Jay’s AC and will continue to use them as needed and refer them to everyone we know. Thanks Johnny, for realizing how important integrity is. Might I add they had the best prices!

Johnny has been our go to guy ever since we were taken advantage of by ARS Rescue Rooter. He is a good, honest business owner who treats his customers with respect. He showed up one night on a Sunday after church to come up with a quick fix for my heater so that my daughters wouldn’t be stuck in the cold.
I prefer to deal directly with business owners that appreciate loyal clients and are looking for a long term relationship, not a commissioned salesman. Johnny has earned my trust and if you are reading this I would encourage you to call him and decide for yourself.

Hope he never retires cause I’ll have to find myself a new a/​c repair man! I’ve used Jay’s A/​C a few times now for break/​fix stuff, which I found out from an individual here on a talk board. I was burned pretty bad by a couple other companies so it was nice to find someone like this. Johnny is very professional and you can tell he is about helping his clients out. I’ve done comparisons of his prices and they are reasonable if not on the cheaper side. I’ve never had issues with him showing up when he says he will and he is overall a nice guy. He likes to joke around and seems to know his stuff. Definitely recommend him if you need some A/​C help.
