Beware of this place. They make up things about your car that doesn’t need changing. After getting my car back I still had the same issue. I asked the guy behind the counter simple questions about my car and he told me incorrect answers. These guys are sharks just trying to run up your bill. They continued to try and charge me more for other things. Paid my bill and got out of there. When I was leaving I over heard them trying to up charge a customer for a simple oil change. I would stay far away from this place. Why can’t there just be a trustworthy mechanic out there?

Repairing a car is the great unknown so it’s such a relief to find J & T. They provide thorough explanations so you can make educated decisions. They are friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. I feel I can trust them and that’s #1 in my book.

We have been going to jnt for years because it’s in our neighborhood. They are very friendly but the work is not very good. The last time I went I took my daughters truck in to have the oil changed. A couple of days later the check oil light came on. I was an inspection place and asked him to check the oil while it was on the rack. There was NO oil. It had not been leaking oil either. jnT did not put any oil in it. We are not going here any more.

Great experience taking my Jeep, Volvo and husband takes his Beemer here as well. The repair costs are explained and the staff is friendly. They are located in Spring Branch and their hours are awesome!

In a world where great customer service is disappearing every day, Zack, Soto and the guys at J&T keep that old art alive and excel in it.
My Isuzu Rodeo had a transmission problem coming home from work one night. We had it towed to J&T and the next day Zack called and told us we were lucky, that it was just a tube that carried the fluid to the transmission had broken and needed replacement. We were relieved that it was a cheap fix.
We picked the Rodeo up the next day and on the way home after work I was flagged down by someone on the freeway to let me know there was fluid coming out from under my car. When I pulled over to the side of the road, the same symptoms happened as before. We immediately called Soto and he helped arrange a tow for us.
The next day Zack called and said the seal on the torque converter was damaged because we had driven without fluid and heated up the transmission. So we left the Rodeo with Zack until the seal was replaced.
We got word the car was fixed and went to pick it up. I took my husband’s car home while he drove it to work. On my husband’s way home everything seemed great until he hit the freeway and he noticed a white smoke and cars behind him moving out of the way. He immediately pulled over and called Soto. Soto arranged the third tow. At this point, I was at my wits end with all the repairs and considered throwing in the towel and buying a new car.
Zack called a few minutes later and wanted the details of what happened. On the phone Zack said «don’t worry about it, we will pay for the tow, refund your last service and cover any issues we find in your transmission this time, even if it needs a new transmission.»
I was surprised and happy to hear this, and my mood changed immediately. It is unheard of to find this level of customer service. I trust the guys at J&T and will continue to bring our cars there as long as we live in Houston.

Zack & Soto have always been very helpful in repairing my Volkswagon Passat. They explain the diagnostics to me in lay mans terms to where I can understand to get more familiar with my car and it’s issues. They don’t overcharge & are very reasonable. Twice already my car had major repairs needed and I was lent a Loaner car while repairs were being made to my vehicle. I highly recommend them to all my friends & family. They are a family business and they treat you like family.

I had my bmw serviced here today and will never go anywhere else! Let me start out by saying I first went to RD auto repair on bissonet. The man at rd did a «diagnostic» and I left heavy hearted because he said I needed $ 1990 worth of repairs done. A friend recommended J & T Automotive. They are trustworthy and HONEST. I dealt with Zack Emmanouil. Another diagnostic was run and turns out only $ 600 worth of repair was needed! Zack had my vehicle ready same day! I cannot put into words how grateful I am for their professionalism and courtesy! I will highly recommend Zack and his staff to family and friends! Save your money and visit J & T automotive first. J&T came with a highly recommended referral. I needed help with a 10yr old VW station wagon and had been looking into Hare Repair because if you search VW Auto Repair that’s the first thing that comes out. Well, Hare repair didn’t even want to repair my car, giving me a looooong explanatory excuse that they don’t work on VWs anymore.
J&T is not the cheapest cat in town, it’s cheaper than dealer but not as cheap as we would dream. In fact, the fifth star missing is for the pricing. I decided to repair the car with them because of a personal referral, and because I needed peace of mind.
Car repaired quickly, replaced front/​left wheel bearing.
So far so good. I’ll keep you posted.

I’ve known about J&T for several years, working at another business nearby in Spring Branch. I’ve always seen a volume of cars here, but you especially notice when there are rare and beautiful cars present to be worked on. That is enough to show me that if people who obviously have a passion for motor vehicles trust J&T, that they must be doing several things right.
I recently started doing business here after my dad bought a used luxury car to get a few issues taken care of then shortly after I bought a used German car and have had the team here service it as well. The work done has been in my opinion superior to what a dealership can offer or a brand specialty shop. When it comes to auto repairs and service, just like most anything else, you get what you pay for. I feel like I’ve been getting and will continue to get top notch service on my vehicles here for years to come. Any repairs Ive needed thus far have been explained to me in detail to help me make more sound decisions on what work needs to be done and what I can do to better maintain my family’s vehicles. Tires, fluids, engine work, you name it and I’m more than positive they’ll do it with a smile and with TLC.
I will also add here that Spring Valley and nearby Memorial Villages residents are very particular about quality of service and work, and I know many locals who bring in their expensive luxury and/​or performance cars here for their maintenance and other needs. My suggestion: skip the dealership, skip the specialty shops that are time zones away, and give a nod or wave to the shade tree mechanic on your way over here. I doubt you’d regret it.

I have been here twice, and am happy with the results. They were upfront about costs, and explained what needed to be done. I would come back.

These guys are trustworthy, accurate in diagnosis, and fast with service. I bought a 1974 Scout ii that billowed smoke as if I was trying to escape spies chasing me. Zach, the hunk behind the counter, said I could either fix it half a#$ or do it right by pulling the valve covers and properly diagnose it. He told me it want’s going to be cheap. I chose the later. And I am glad I did. It truly needed a complete rebuild. Boo. Which I did verify with my gear head friends and father. But from the beginning to the end they allowed me to be a part of it and see what was wrong and why they were doing what needed to be done, which also verified that this was not scam. And I am no dummy. I own a classic. I better educate myself as to what cams, valves, pistons, carbs (not the edible kinds) and junk does right? right. So it’s been rebuilt, and purrs like a kitten. Yay! I have brought it back for other things… hey, it’s a Scout, it’s gonna have issues… and they have quickly adjusted, tweaked, primed, and fixed. I love these guys. They run a quality shop. I trust them and know that when I pull in, it will be a quality job done at a fair price. As an added bonus… the bathroom is magnificent. It’s clean and free from the things one would expect to see at an all dude shop. I heart J & T!

I have been taking my car here for years. Zack is an amazing mechanic and does honest work. Whenever I moved to Austin, Zack told me to call him anytime I had a problem with my car and that he would talk to any mechanic before I had work done to make sure I wasn’t getting ripped off.

JT Auto is the only place I take my car!
Over the past year or so, my aging VW has needed some serious help. After being sideswiped while driving, my husband and I researched local auto shops and came across JT Auto, and we are so glad we did! Zach (the manager, maybe owner?) really helped out during all of the difficulties that come along with insurance and liability after an accident. He walked me through a lot of the process and was on the phone with my insurance company probably more than I was! My car was repaired quickly and satisfactorily.
After we had such a good experience with JT Auto after the accident repair, this became «our» car repair place. We’ve taken in my VW for an A/​C repair, compressor repair, and new tires. Every time things are taken care of incredibly quickly! And things like oil changes and flat tires are done so fast… at any other place I would bring a book or get a ride home so I won’t have to wait too long, but here its usually about 20 minutes in a clean waiting room with magazines to read.
A few more things you should know: the prices are quite reasonable (my husband used to work in a body shop and would know if we are getting ripped off), JT Auto has certifications for working on all kinds of complicated things (you can tell how much I know about cars haha, but really they were able to work on my VW without outsourcing the work — that’s hard to find for German cars), and the service is what really sets this place apart. Zach is my car-​hero, and I always appreciate his polite and professional manner.
So overall: the prices are reasonable and better than other places I’ve compared them with, the service is quick, polite, and professional, and the work is done super fast. I highly recommend J&T Auto!

These people either dont know what they are doing or they try to STEAL customers money!!! I took my car here because AAA told me it was the closest to where I was. I lost my brakes driving on I10. They told me it was the vacuum booster that was broken and the repair was almost $ 700. I was alarmed and I called my brother (which lives in PR) and he told me that if it was that part that the brake wouldve been really hard to use and that wasnt the case. I got suspicious and took it some place else. Guess what? my brakes had nothing wrong. I accidentally activated my emergency brake and the heat caused the brakes to fail momentarily. So I just flushed the brake liquid and that was it…$ 60!!! Its obvious this people cant be trusted. They thought because I was a woman they could fool me? Bad service and they will try to rip u off!!!

After having the pleasure of having a stupid batch back up her pickup truck into my car, I received a nice big dent on the back passanger door. Since I didn’t want to take my car to some shady body shop and receive a craptastic repair job, my boyfriend recommended J&T to fix my car. He has taking his car to them for repairs for years. Zack (the owner) is really awesome. He accepted the job even though he knew I had cashed the insurance checks (which apparently is a big no no, I didn’t know that I was supposed to cash the check after my car had been repaired in case there is additional damage not included in the estimate). Turns out there was additional damage (uh oh…), but Zack was really cool about it. I paid the estimate the insurance company quoted and went outside to admire the job they did. I was happy to see that they had completely fixed the dent! Hurray!
*Tip: It’s best to call and ask if they have the time to work on your car, there are times when they get really busy.
