Description

Specialties

Hughes Hangar is a hidden gem along the Washington Corridor that combines a timeless backdrop of 1940s post-depression architecture with modern-day wonders. With over 3,500 sq. ft. inside and 3,000 sq. ft. on the outside patio, this upscale establishment offers a variety of entertainment, food, and handcrafted cocktails. It takes the meaning of gastro pub to a higher level.

From elegant dark furniture to eye-catching timeless decorative pieces, this electrifying venue presents an alluring ambiance that allows patrons to sit, relax, and sip on cocktails to the tune of contemporary beats.

Our menu focuses on the creation of high-quality cuisine. Items on the menu combine gourmet with comfort. Most produce are locally grown, adding another layer of flavor and sophistication to our version of «comfort gourmet» foods.

Our libation menu showcases an impressive list of unique creations. Our beverage program utilizes classic bartending techniques that infuse modern ideas, fresh ingredients, and artisanal brands to create hand-crafted cocktails.

Hughes Hangar is also available for private and corporate events including weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, cotillions, etc. We are very experienced in hosting large events with high-end clientele.

We work diligently with our potential clients to come up with a mutually acceptable agreement and we look forward to hosting your event.

History

Established in 2011.

Howard Hughes was an amazingly curious man. His history is filled with all sorts of interesting nuggets. Hughes produced award-winning films, built record-breaking aircraft and founded, among other things, a medical institute. What better way to commemorate such a prestigious business tycoon than to build a Houston bar in his honor? As a man who was smart, self-aware, peculiar and excessively ambitious, Hughes would almost certainly enjoy Hughes Hangar!
