Discount Tire Store – Houston, TX

This has been our go-​to tire shop for years. Throughout that time, the level of service has remained constant … courteous, knowledgeable, helpful, efficient and customer-​oriented. You’re treated equally whether you’re buying four new tires or simply having a flat fixed (at no cost, by the way). Tires are all they do … no oil changes, batteries or other ancillary products or services, so they’ve got to do things right to stay around. There are generally several price options, although fewer for high-​end automobiles. Obviously, they’re competitive (there’s even a low-​price guarantee), and they’ll work with you to a point. There’s no pressure to buy, and no up-​selling. Even when they’re busy, you’re in and out pretty quickly … always well-​staffed, unlike many of their competitors. Pull up any time, and they’ll check your tire pressure at no charge (although I always tip the guy a couple of bucks).
They also offer a warranty, even if you didn’t buy the tires there (generally on new vehicles). It cost me $ 92 for my Lexus (that’s $ 23 per tire), and covers all road hazards, balancing and rotation for the life of the tires … a couple of rotations and I’ve got my money back. We did have to replace a tire on one of our cars due to a puncture in the sidewall … took 20 minutes, no charge, and we were on our way. We find that they more than pay for themselves.
Shop here first (or last). Being treated as a valued customer is as important as price … perhaps more so. You’ll do well on both counts at this place.

In Houston on a visit last week and picked up a screw in my tire. I’ve always liked Discount Tire and there was one close by… WOW! The staff at this location were nothing short of perfect; friendly, professional, and they got my tire patched up quickly and, as usual at Discount Tire, it’s free.
I will return to this exact store when I need tires and I live in Austin. :)

This Discount Tire location is a hidden gem in all of the city. Between my personal and fleet cars, I’ve gotten a half dozen sets of tires from here and each time the service was exceptional. Last time I was here for a flat and before I even got through the door, they walked out to greet me and see what was wrong. They also work fast and have you in and out as quick as can be expected.
I should mention that I opted to go to Costco for my own car’s tires last time because Costco had better prices on the higher end name brands and I like that they put Nitrogen in the tires, but Discount Tire has a lot more variety and pricing from «cheapie» tires to name brands and the service is much faster at Discount. I’m still debating about my next tires but you can’t go wrong with here.

Davion was helpful and friendly. Had all four tires changed on a dual axle trailer with a 5000 pound boat on it. No problems because these guys are pros and they stay on point. The boat didn’t fit in the service bay so they did the repair in the lot. Everything took less than an hour. Discount tire does things right and that’s why I have been a lifelong customer since my first truck.

Y’all…This is THE place to go if you want good customer service and reliability. Up until now, I bought tires at Walmart so I could shop while waiting. I am forever a discount customer now. I can’t speak for other locations, but the guys at this location were so helpful and respectful. I had an 8am appointment to have new tires and new TPMS sensors installed. It took maybe 30 minutes, how great is that?!? They even saved me a bit of money. I promise these guys are not looking to rob your bank account. They want you to be safe on the road while not breaking the bank. I can’t stress enough how professional these guys are.

Thieves! My wife left her car here for a couple of hours to have a tire replaced, and when we returned her garage opener remote was missing. The car was not left unlocked or broken into. I guess the «discount» in the name refers to the five finger discount their employees are allowed to get away with. Thanks guys, enjoy the 1 star rating!

Took 45 mins to get a new tire… I was happy with that… their price is the same as the other little tire shop all along
oak and bellfort so its a better deal to get them here with the life time warranty, only 10 $ more! Any location, any state in the whole us! robert was great… all the staff were attentive and the store is ran efficiently!

I love this place. Headed to work this AM and heard a noise from a tire. Pulled in here to wait for them to open. At 8 AM sharp, two service guys came out to the parking lot to begin taking service orders. I have also purchased several sets of tires here and have consistently had fast and friendly service. The waiting area is very clean and offers chilled water and coffee. I was out of there at 8:22 AM!

They didnt have the tires I needed in stock, so I set up an appointment the first thing the next morning.
I got in at 8am, got out at 815am!
I am devoted to Discount Tires in general because of their great customer service and price match. (Some will match online but you have to calculate online shipping as well and it usually ends up the same. But buying online you dont get the warranty and lifetime rotation and all that good stuff.)

They will get u what u want… but may not call u to tell u they got it!!! Seriously !!!

If you’re Driving north on Chimney Rock coming from 90/​South main you’ll probably miss this place if you’re not looking for it.
I came here on a Monday morning around 10:30am I was probably in and out in 45 mins.Yep. 45 mins
A salesperson check my tires and I was right my tire tread was dimished.
i did my reasearch online prior to coming in. So I knew exactly what I wanted and how much I needed to spend on good quailty tires.
I wasn’t talked into spending more at all.
They were just happy I knew what I needed

So I step into the next stop on the Tire Search… a slightly drizzly day in November… My friend suggested this place because he got tires for his truck here. The fact that they have lifetime road hazard and rotations stuck out as a big selling point for me.
Get in, being a pretty informed customer, I tell them my tire size, they look it up, only 2 tires they have in stock for my car. an 89 dollar tire and a 129 dollar tire special…
so they check my tires out… yea i know they’re bad, yea i know they need to be replaced soon, NO I DON’T WANT TO BUY THEM NOW! STOP ASKING!!! JEEZ!!! I was asked about 3 times if i wanted them done now as opposed to waiting for the weekend when i’da had my chance to shop around and research a bit more.
so they reluctantly gave me a quote with the tire brands. I researched both, and both were not good value for the price. It seemed like they wanted to force the sell… but it didn’t turn me off too much. I like the idea that I can take my car to any discount tire and get tire sevice at no charge… I just won’t be going to this one…
