Don’t judge this place by its looks. I felt like I walked into a 1950s burger joint. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with tatter tots. I was pleasantly surprised with how great the burger tasted. Fresh and tender. Condiments aren’t needed. I would of ordered another one but it did pack a punch. I will definitely become a regular here.

Not a bad place to go grab a burger from. I don’t think they are the best but they are still good. The french fries are also decent, ask for a side of chilly and cheese to go with them… Best way to have them. I’ve had the burrito a couple times… also pretty good, like the ones I use to eat back in school. If you get a drink go for the cool aid, sweet… just like the way my grandma use to make. The place needs some remodeling… but it’s clean nonetheless.

I saw the reviews and thought I might find one of those independent places with great burgers. It didn’t happen. Plain at best. In my opinion, just about any of the popular chains have better burgers than than what you get here. I wish I could say something more positive but I can’t.

The. Burgers. Are. So. Good. They even serve 2 flavors of Kool-Aid as drinks. They recently started serving breakfast. Although it’s a limited menu, it looks good even though I haven’t tried it out yet. If you’re looking for a good burger and don’t want«fast food» this is the place.

This is a place that does not try to be fancy but does the basics really well. There is no truffle fried or some handcrafted glazed anything. You can order a burger with as many patties as you need, add some cheese and peppers as you see fit. Nice crisp vegetables, toasted bun and good solid frys, all for what you would spend or less at a large franchise. Sometimes simple is good.

They have been in the neighborhood forever. I like their burgers and grape Koolaid. Their onion rings were fresh but they went with frozen fries a mistake. They need to raise the prices some so they can provide top quality. I like their service and enjoy it.

I had a double burger combo w/cheese no lettuce extra mayonnaise with tator tots substitutes for fries and a root beer $ 8.10 total. The burger came out exactly as I ordered. I was big and juicy, this was my first time here, but it is a place I would go out of my way to eat here. They bring the food out to you with smile, really a great place to eat.

I been here many times and it’s great every time! The burgers have a classic taste. I get a bacon cheese burger. I really like that the bacon isn’t too chewy or overly crisp. Just… yumm…

«This is a good burger right here,» says my husband multiple times. He had a double meat with cheese, bacon and jalapeños. My cheeseburger was the best I’ve had in a very long time. The flavor was mouth watering. The fries were good with a sauce but a bit bland without. Everything was hot and fresh. Serve through the drive thru was quick and friendly. My son had a chili cheese hot dog that he said was ok.

It’s similar to a chain fast food burger spot. Nothing special about it. I see no difference between this place and Whataburger: both have lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion, with mustard. It’s a factory made meat patty, not the patted down ground beef I was hoping for. It didn’t give me the«home style burger» taste I was looking for. The patty wasn’t seasoned and the fries only had salt. The stuffed jalapeños tasted like they were from the freezer section from the local grocery store. All in all, not a bad burger, but nothing special to make me go back.

The neighborhood burger spot – I can’t speak for the burgers because I didn’t have one. However, the fish sandwich was bland and tasted like it was a fish patty that was fried and placed on a bun with tartar sauce. Nothing too special, well I did add some tomatoes and lettuce, but that’s about it. The inside is seems to revolve around the community – they had trophies from the local schools around, obituaries from what I’m guessing some of the locals that I had passed away(pretty strange), t-shirts and pictures posted all over the restaurant. When I came here I felt like I wasn’t even in Houston, I felt like I was in a small country town. The only customers they seemed to usually have sit and eat was the elderly, and some teens. Majority of the crowd ordered from the drive-thru. This restaurant does have a distinct smell to it – hint here this used to be an old DQ, so the smell of this building was old like an old house smell that comes and goes while you are eating. Though, they had some air-fresheners going… the smell of old always seems to stay no matter where you are. This place was a try, though if you like local eatery joints come here.

Went here yesterday. This place seems to run by teenagers which is great, it makes me think of that place you would go with a group of friends after high school, a big game or those hang out spots on The Parkers, Sister & Sister, or Boys Meets World. When you walk in all the staff just stares at you, even the cooks in the back. They have super big clean glass windows in the front so if you want you can watch your vehicle while you eat. When your inside the building you might forget where you are,(because it reminded me of Jake & Dorothy café), in Stephennville. I forgot that I was in the city. The staff has one of those Glade’s automatic air fresher, to me is very good to have in older buildings as most older restaurants don’t do that. I’m that type of person who is sensitive to certain smells, they just don’t sit right with my stomach.. if you know what I mean. Where we sat there was a pink shirt and hanger hanging above us, a broken music machine, and lots of seating. Not sure if that one hanging shirt symbolized anything. If this place is going to be one of those hang out spots, I love to see other recreational activities. Well anyways, let’s get to the food. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers and a fish sandwich. The cheeseburger was ok, no particular flavors popping in my mouth like as Tookie’s burgers. The patty was pretty flat and sliding out of my bread. I understand why the fries were unseasoned, I guess cause not all people can’t have salt. But the fries tasted fresh. The bread was hard as if it was stale or sat in the heat too long. I would like to try their desserts or chicken strips to see if they are atleast better than DQ. I loved the fact that this place has grape kool-aid(it brought back memories for me). Overall, this place was good, just need to try it out more.
