I would not recommend this place. Pioneer authorized dealer recommended this place for repairs. Took them 2 weeks to diagnose and was told was the cpu and needed to order from pioneer which would take a week. A month later, they replaced the part and it’s having the same issue, they think pioneer sent them defective part.
But had to get pioneer to help them diagnose it this time, to which the lady who gathered the info from the tech, it was actually sow thing else wrong and wasn’t the cpu and had to get different parts. To which her husband attempted to back track and say, no sometimes they get defective parts and that’s what it was. Well so why is the price going up again to repair if the part sent was defective. It’s been a little over 2 months now and still no radio. It’s a navigation head unit and is just 7 months old so parts can not be hard to get. And now the bill is sky high so far and still I have nothing yet

I have used Apm in the past to repair an old pioneer amp. I took a subwoofer to them today and was told that I had to pay $ 75.00 for the. To tell me if they could get parts to fix it.
That is an issue. $ 75.00 is a lot of money to be told that they can’t get parts when they should know whether they can get parts are not. it’s frustrating.
So. . This is the reality about electronics repair. They don’t know if they can fix it. They are going to charge a high fee to tell you if they can fix it and shift all the risk to you. Which make economic sense. Of course, I am not going to fix anything. I’ll just buy a new subwoofer and be done with it.
The first time they repaired my pioneer amp I was happy with their service and prices. That always about 10 years ago.

Overall I am very happy with APM electronics’ work on two vintage Pioneer amps and one cassette deck that needed repair. I was giving them pretty challenging work (parts can be hard to find, slow to get) and they eventually got it all working as asked. When I got them on the phone they were straightforward and gave me details about the status that proved they were on the level, but the problem was I needed to call them any time I needed an update.
It’s a little frustrating to need to call a company 2 weeks after to get a status report, and have to call again the next day… but in the end Angel and his crew did everything they promised, told me what they couldn’t fix (old parts no longer available) and the price was fair.
I can see why other Unilocalers are upset, but honestly, slow communication is FAR from the worst thing I’ve had to deal with when it comes to electronics repair in Houston. You can do much, much worse.

Took my Panasonic audio system here for repair. They told me it would be ready in two weeks. Two weeks later I called back to find out that they haven’t even started on it and wouldn’t know when and couldn’t give me a ETA for repair. Mgr was a complete jerk and basically threatened me that he would throw my stuff out if I didn’t like their policies. I will be filing a report with the BBB on them.

My Panasonic TV had an issue that was covered under warranty. Panasonic put me in contact with APM because they are an authorized retailer for Panasonic equipment in my area. I set an appointment for APM to come to the house to investigate the problem. The appointment window was from 9−1pm. APM contacted me at 8am to verify I would be available at 9:30 when they planned to arrive. Angel arrived right on time and was confident he knew what the problem was. He had the TV put back together and working perfectly within 30 minutes. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient. Hopefully I won’t have any audio/​video issues that necessitate additional repair, but if I do, I’ll definitely take my business to APM.
