Established in 1980.

Current owners Perry and Patty Adams started their business in 1980, and Adams Automotive moved to its present location in 1989. For over 30 years, Adams Automotive has maintained a commitment to honest, quality work, and superior customer service. Your satisfaction is our top priority!

Manager

Oscar has 15+ years experience in the automotive industry. As General Manager he is involved in all aspects of the day to day operations and is very «hands-​on» and can always be found in and around the shop which is an additional benefit to both our valued customers and the staff. He expects to know and be involved in any and all opportunities to keep our customer satisfaction at the highest level. Adams Automotive was built on a personal motto of «treating people the way you would want to be treated» and has created a very loyal and expanding customer base as a result. I can’t even comment on the quality of their work. But the customer service is lacking, specifically with Joe.
I made an appt. with another service writer and was told i would have vehicle back in about two hours. The purpose of the visit was oil change, lube and state inspection.
i needed the car at an appointed time and made that clear up front. i was called re the car being ready and when i arrived to get it, three hours after i dropped it off, I found that it was just then having the oil changed.
The man who helped ?) me when i arrived was rude and said i was too demanding.
i do not recommend going there unless you just allow them total control. Don’t even think about giving them a set amount of time to complete an oil change. I guess i was not spending enough money so my time was of no concern to them. They charge $ 39.95 for an oil change/​lube, which is more than the going rate. If you choose to use this company, be sure you do not deal with Joe.

Oscar and his team at Adam’s Automotive are the absolute best. I highly recommend having them work on your car if you’re in the Memorial/​Spring Branch area. Their shop is super clean and their staff is professional and personal.

We have been using Adams for many years now. They are always exceeding our expectations. We have multiple vehicles and my husband is VERY particular about who works on them. Also, the guys up front are really great and know their stuff (shout out to Oscar). They take care of a broad range of models, so don’t be afraid to take your luxury vehicles to them. They’re high tech and very well trained, but most of all, we trust them.

We have been taking our vehicles to Adams for years. They do excellent work, have a very professional staff, clean shop, comfortable waiting room, and complimentary shuttle service. There are so many reasons we continue to go to Adams but as a woman my primary reason is that they don’t treat me as a brainless twit. Quite the contrary, they are completely respectful of my thoughts and concerns. They have a fantastic business model that other vehicle focused businesses could learn from.

I talked to Oscar yesterday morning about repairing my automobile after receiving a high recommendation from an acquaintance. He was surly and rude when I asked the most basic questions, ie, do you work on my make, model car, etc, etc. I did not ask him to diagnose any problems over the telephone, just rudimentary questions. Even with that attitude I was still going to let them look at it until when I asked if they had towing he sarcastically said he would give me their towing company telephone number and it was up to me to get it there. So much for all their self righteous biblical sayings on their advertising sign out front. Guess he and God got up on the wrong side of the bed that morning. My car went to the Chrysler dealership like I had originally planned and will let anyone who will listen about the lousy, unprofessional attitude at Adams Automotive.

These guys are honest and good! Didn’t charge me for a check on my car and mechanic even went through his assessment. Had a slight oil leak, he cleaned it up and said don’t bother with it unless it gets worse. Most places would have pushed for a repair. They even washed up my car! Highly recommended!

These guys are great. I took their cab service after dropping my car off. I was wearing a hoodie and my wallet had fallen out in their vehicle. The driver turned my wallet in and got it back to me. Real honest folks.

Top-​notch service professionals who treat you as they would want to be treated. Honest and approachable, they have yet to try the ol’ «while you’re here, we’d suggest also changing all these other fluids and parts that are just fine but you don’t know what they do anyway, so if I tell you they’re bad, you’ll give me the go-​ahead to perform these unnecessary steps so I can jack up your price.» As a woman who has fallen for that more than once, I SO APPRECIATE THEM.
Personal note: they keep a Bible in their waiting room for reading material. Many people keep their faith hidden away safe and sound. I have major respect for this company who puts it out there so that anyone who is Inclined to read it, can.

We trust that Adams will asses our issues with knowledge and experience and will not pressure us to perform unnecessary work. David is always professional and pleasant on the phone and in person, which we REALLY appreciate. The lobby is clean and beautiful. We’re glad to have such a classy mechanic shop in Spring Branch. I chose not to have auto work done here due to them charging me $ 300/​hr for labor. If you’re a single female on a budget, you definitely will want to price other shops in Houston and compare. I did and saved over $ 1,000!

I live in California and found a truck on eBay that I was interested in. Looked great, but I didn’t have the time or extra $ to physically inspect the vehicle. I used Adams to do a pre vehicle inspection, and BOY am I glad I did! Great service, very honest, friendly and competent.

Was here for an oil change. They have a professional service staff. Their customer service is like a mom and pop, very courteous. They have a clean waiting area with wifi and enough seating. They can give you a ride back if you live/​work within a few miles from the shop. Plus every time you get your car serviced they give you a free car wash. Not bad at all. Plus prices are fair. I would recommend it highly from my experience the few times I’ve been here.

I bring my car to Adams because I trust them and they are always honest with me!
I brought my BMW in because I was having transmission issues — I was so worried because I know that’s a really expensive repair. They not only fixed the problem, but it was a fraction of the price of the dealer’s quote. Awesome!
While my car was at Adams I was honestly shopping for a new car (mine is 17 years old and was acting like it…) but the way it was running when I got it back felt like a new car! A little investment at Adams means no new car payments for me — woohoo!
AND it was sparkly clean and vacuumed when I got it back… what?! Now that’s service :)
