Are you kidding me? I went into Aaron Brothers to buy a piece of glass for a shadow box I have. The front desk girls were very pleasant, but called up Jacob, one of the frame technicians, to help me. He was pretty much a jerk. No «hello» no eye contact, no, smile, no explaining what he was doing as he took my frame aprt. But, you know, that’s fine, perhaps he was having a bad day. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. The worst part was yet to come anyway. Jacob measured my frame, put the measurements into the computer and then told me the price. My jaw practically hit the floor. He wanted to charge me $ 220 for a piece of glass! Nothing else. Just a single piece of glass. $ 220. For a piece of glass. $ 220. Clearly, I said absolutely not. Out of curiosity I asked him how a single piece of glass could cost $ 220. His response to me was not an itemized list of everything that went into charging $ 220, but rather a smart ass comment stating with a shrug, «someone in the corporate office says it should be that much.» Then, I noticed on the computer screen that he charged me for museum quality glass. I asked him how much it would be without the museum quality and the price was still $ 140. For a piece of glass. Nothing else. $ 140. Absolutely terrible customer service and absurd prices. Clearly, I will never patronize this business again. UPDATE: I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a piece of glass for $ 8 with a 40% off coupon. That’s $ 212 less than Aaron Brothers.

I’m pretty disappointed in this place. I’m redecorating my office and wanted to have my diplomas framed. I stopped by to get some information about the framing process and a price range. They were totally unhelpful. Like, I literally wasted my time even stopping by. The sales associate had no idea of price ranges, didn’t offer to show me any examples, and generally seemed disinterest. Aaron’s has a good reputation, so I was surprised at the lack of service, especially when they advertise«white glove» service. I’ll have to try somewhere else I guess. Perhaps the other locations are better?

This is for Aaron Brothers frame shop on Holcombe, Houston, tx. Don’t fall for the 50% off custom framing — if you go almost anywhere else, you will find that AB marks up the price first and then gives you the 50% discount. You end up paying what you would normally pay somewhere else. Also they do not hire enough employees. One person tending the entire store is not enough. People need framing done, or just a quick checkout. I have waited in line there so many times I can’t tell you. AB, PLEASEHIREMORESTAFFSOPEOPLEDON’T HAVETOWAITINLINESOLONG! There are no jobs in USA… there could be more if companies would just not be so stingy and pay a couple more people minimum wage. It might actually help the company’s bottom line.

I used to go here to buy a bunch of Micron pens. Terrible customer service to me. They never greeted me. Also they could not handle cash at the register where there was an employee, so they’d move me around. I always thought the people who were getting framing done were treated well. A few times I went there I thought I was the only person in the store so I awkwardly left. Unfortunately this is the only place that sells Micron pens that I know of. Fortunately for me, I no longer need to buy Micron pens. It was nice knowing you Aaron Brothers Art and Framing!

Aaron Brothers is my favorite place to find frames. Unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to go there for a while because my husband found the frame stashes under the couch, under the bed and in several closets. So maybe I have a problem. They have a great selection of frames of all sizes, even the weird and random proportions. Under normal conditions they are a little pricey. However twice a year, December/January and June/July, they have their Penny Sale. Which is buy one get one for a penny. What is great about the sale is that they don’t just give you the cheapest items in your purchase for the sale. For example if you pick up two 11×14s and two 5x7s, one of the 11×14s will be a penny and one of the 5x7s will be a penny. This is refreshing when every other store that isn’t Aaron Brothers will only apply the discount to the cheapest items. You can end up saving a lot of money which I used to justify my stashes. They also offer painting and drawing art products, Yankee Candles, extra large frames for paintings and mirrors. They also do custom framing and honor competitor coupons for said service.
