Great place for unique beers. Great nachos. Music is awesome. Tomas serves beyond compare!

Went to Iron Abbey for the first time and it was an enjoyable experience. Atmosphere was nice and food was top notch. Our waitress caitlyn was very attentive and friendly. My only gripe was we got seated in a section that had no one in it. Felt kind of secluded from the rest of the fun that was happening. Besides that good place to go!!!

For a pub this place got great selection of food. The ones I liked are the salmon and scallops. The big nacho one was also good, and the calamari melts in your mouth. They have a huge selection of beer, and according to my colleagues it’s the best place for beer lovers. They also have a whiskey bar upstairs with a shop and beer cellar to browse, I also found bunch of hard cider which is my favorite! Fun place and great service, definitely visit this place when you are in the area!

I’ve been going to the Abbey for years, and although I’ve seen somewhat of a decline lately with the happy hour menu selection and portions served, you still can’t beat the plentiful beer selection as well as the few friendly and awesome bartenders they have left! Was better when there were more friendly faces like Julius and Ryanne, but the bully management drove them away :(I’d love to boycott the place because of the cheap, greedy management, but for some reason keep returning. I guess for the good beer selection, convenient location, familiarity, and a few good employees they still have :)

Solid, well seasoned food overall. Nothing fancy or unique. We had their crab dip which was chock full of crab meat but it wasn’t creamy & was served room temp instead of hot, as advertised. Unfortunately, hubby & I both got pretty sick that night. It’s the only food we shared so we know that’s what did it. My Cuban burger was juicy but, way too messy bc it was so stacked with toppings. The ham on it was very thick & rubbery. Hubby had the wings which were very meaty & tasty. They also have an extensive beer list. It’s basically a sports bar masked as a rustic tavern. The best part were the desserts.

The wait staff and food was the only positive part of this experience. but the real reason I’m writing this review is because of the Owner. Him & His wife had a 20 minute argument in front of a room full of customers. At the time I didn’t know it was the owner so my husband asked them to step outside so we can enjoy our meal. Well that didn’t go so well. The OWNER of this establishment then began to yell and scream at my husband(a paying customer who just wanted to enjoy his meal without an argument going on right next to us) He was rude, insulting, and disrespectful. If he treats customers like this, I can only imagine how he treats employees…

We heard about this place from foodchasers, so we drove close to 45 minutes. Definitely worth the drive! I i went on Tuesday night with my husband, our 15 month old daughter, our two friends, and their 5 month old daughter. It was our first time there. We got there at 8 o clock and they sat us in the dining area, since we had our kids with us. We were the only ones in the dining area. Our waiter Keith was fantastic. He was very polite and explained to us their food and drink menu. He came back several times and refilled our drinks for us and made sure we were okay. You’re awesome Keith! Food: everything was fantastic. The crab and spin dip is a must! Oh, and dont forget about the garlic hot shrimp! Yum! We all got burgers. We asked for medium rare… and that was what we got. Can’t wait to go back there to try out the rest of their menu!

Stopped in for brunch today. The food was surprisingly good! We got the salmon and eggs and the vegetable omelette with chili. Both came with the amazingly light and crispy home fries which we could not stop eating. We were also pleased with the efficient service and clean bathrooms. Even the kids commented on how nice the bathrooms smelled. And it’s a pub! Very surprising. The only downside was my super weak $ 8.50 Tito’s Bloody Mary, which was supposed to be extra spicy. However, it was a muddled, flavorless mess that I suspect had no frills vodka in it. Minus three stars for that one. However, plus 1 star for having the Chelsea FA cup match on throughout my meal!

I love eating here. A great many choices of beer on tap, and a many more by the bottle. The food is great as well! My favorites include the crab cake and the short ribs. Then when you’re done eating, make sure to take a stroll through the bottle room upstairs… very impressive! Oh yea, and if you like espresso, make sure to stop up at the bar upstairs. One of my favorite places to get an espresso! A little pricey, but well worth it!

The mussels would have been good if they weren’t smothered… I mean smothered in large slices of garlic! Same with the shrimp! Swimming in garlic! The martini’s were $ 14.75 each. I won’t be going back very soon!

Sat upstairs in their Whiskey Bar with a group of friends. Drinks were delicious. I love that they have a favorite beer — Pauwel Kwak. Food was incredible. Had a filet mignon cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere. Really enjoyed the large selection of different beers. Fair priced. I always have a great time here.

The food here is unbelievable and incredibly it’s the second best thing about it! Their beer list is the best. Always something new. The bartenders aren’t shy to make recommendations and they can always point you towards a beer that suits your mood or preference! (Also an amazing soccer bar. Great place to watch the games on weekend mornings.)

Our local dining club booked a Beer and Food Pairing Dinner at Iron Abbey on 12/13/2015. Rui, the manager, worked closely with us to create a spectacular and unique menu paired with local craft beers. We dined in The Loft, which was quiet and private. Presentation was great, staff attentive and we had way more food than we could consume. The meal lasted three hours and we were never rushed or pushed to move along. Several in our group are now craft beer converts and the amazing dessert of Stout Ice Cream Floats with Toasted Marshmallows swayed many over to the dark side. I would recommend Iron Abbey for a group dinner. The Prix Fixe price was reasonable and included the beers.

This is a solid«go-to» for drinks and food when I’m back home. They have 30 beers on tap that rotate in addition to an extensive bottle list. Happy hour is Mon-Thur 4 – 7PM and Fri 4 – 6PM with a $ 5 food list and discounted drinks. They also have a whiskey bar at The Loft in addition to a store. I loved the Abbatia Chili and their King Henry Burger(caramelized onions, Swiss ham, fried egg!) which they cook to a medium-rare correctly when requested. The wings are cooked well, though the Garlic Wings were pretty salty(they also have many other sauces available). I would skip the Mussels Diavolo(mussels in tomato sauce) — again, pretty salty and not impressed with the taste. Solid food options and a great beer list.

Iron Abbey has become a favorite of mine when I’m visiting my friend in Horsham. Horsham isn’t exactly saturated with cool nightlife, so Iron Abbey is a much needed option. The craft beer list is awe inspiring. They usually have at least 30 on tap with a strong German/Belgian presence. The bartenders are knowledgable about what they are pouring and super friendly as well. The vibe is dark and medieval which is pretty fun. Iron Abbey has a nice menu which balances out actual food with bar food type things. I have only ever tried the crab and spinach dip with was pretty good. It could stand to be a bit thicker as it came off more as a soup than a dip, but was still delicious. I especially love the Iron Abbey for quizzo nights which is super fun. This is a solid spot that has earned a place on my rotation!

The Iron Abbey is a woodsy midevil nook set on the hills of Horsham next to Na’Brasa and The Wings of Freedom Aviation Museum. It’s easy to miss on the outskirts of town but it packs some serious food points, and though it’s pricey it has an ideal happy hour for food and beverage. Most importantly Iron Abbey stands out by having a huge and remarkable craft beer selection and very responsible and knowledgeable staff. At happy hour the best of the best prices are cut in half and trimmed down to a ten beer selection giving you a little bit of everything, even sours! In addition they have the largest amount of half price appetizers at happy hour compared to all, and I mean all, local restaurants.

Congratulations Iron Abbey, you’ve been upgraded to five stars. Whatever attitude problem you used to have seems to have disappeared. But seriously, maybe they took my last review to heart — or more likely, many more people also complained — about the terrible service at the bar. The bartenders at the bar when I came back were very congenial and attentive. This completely changed the experience for the better. As always, their food is delicious and their beer list plentiful. I have to hand it to them for having such an extensive import collection, as well as a great wine list. There is literally nothing like it in this neck of the suburbs, and if you’re a foodie, a beer snob or just someone who likes something a little different you’ll like this place.

Stopped in around 10:30pm on a Friday. My little brother is gluten free so before eating we had to make sure they could accommodate. I was pleasantly surprised by the servers knowledge about cross contamination. He immediately told us anything in the fryers isn’t ok and went down the list. Because their grill is used to cook everything(breaded items) they cooked his food in a separate skillet. My mom and I split fish tacos, garlic hot shrimp, crab mac n cheese, and the brussel sprouts. Ok looking back now, it looks like a ton of food. But we were starving and obviously had eyes larger than our stomachs. Shrimp was a buffalo spicy flavor, not a red pepper flavor. It was really delicious with the garlic bread that comes on the side. Fish tacos were extremely large and came with I think 3. They were extremely flavorful and fresh. Next was the mac n cheese. Our waiter told us not to get this as its very rich. Im glad we didnt listen and got it anyway. It is rich, but not in a bad way. Just make sure you get it to share. Lastly the brussel sprouts. I think these were the highlight. They were fried, well seasoned, and had chorizo mixed through. YUMMM I would 100% go back. Quick and knowledgeable service, at a reasonable price. FYI its connected to Nebrasa so it may look hidden.

This is one of my favorite places to go in the area. If you’re a *real* beer drinker I promise you’ll be glad you checked this place out. They have a large tap and gigantic bottle selection with choice brews from around the world. I’d recommend a good one but there’s so many high quality brews here you can’t go wrong. Well you can go wrong if you come to a place like this and order a Bud Light. Don’t be that person that comes here and orders a Bud Light. The food is a bit better than your average pub fare. I highly recommend the«Original Sin» if you’re a carnivore like me. Its goodness piled on more goodness. The place is a little bit pricier than some of the other local spots, but that keeps that meat heads and jersey shore types out.(see 1st paragraph, last sentence) They always have the UFC events but it gets a bit crowded on those nights. They are also real big on soccer here. Other events include local brewers visiting with samples, brewers dinners, and occasionally local radio stations hosting events here. The bartenders are very friendly, engage you in interesting conversation, and make great beer recommendations. Friendly Advice: 1) These beers are flavorful and go down smooth. They are high ABV. Drunkedness can sneak up on you real quick here. Keep an eye on yourself. 2) Don’t order Bud/Miller/Coors. Would you go to a steak house and order a Big Mac?

Came here for late night drinks and the service at the bar was fantastic. There were two bartenders«manning» the bar and they both had a good handle of the crowd. Deanna was our bartender and she was extremely friendly and attentive. She even went above and beyond on a few counts — automatically filled my glass of water for me and let us sampled a few beers based on our conversations — all without us ever asking! What service! And she knows her beer. Extremely knowledgable in all their offerings. The variety of beer here is outstanding — 40 on tap and of that 40, you won’t find a coors light or miller lite. All great craft beers. And the bottled beer list is even longer. Insane. The food here is typical pub food, and sometimes I think it’s just okay and sometimes I think it’s the greatest thing I’ve ever eaten. So the high ABV beers could be affecting my judgement. That alone could be a testament to how smooth and sneaky the beers here can be. Mmmmmm, beer.
