Stopped in here for a family meal before seeing a Christmas show over at Stages theater company down the street. We were disappointed the buffet wasn’t offered on account of it being Sunday (which is dinner all day I guess).
We ordered several plates of Indian food which we ended up passing around and sharing. Pretty standard stuff. Chicken Biryani, Chicken Masala, Some kind of beef meatball potstickers, and Naan. All of the portions were very generous — except the Naan. An order of Naan ended up consisting of two half-​circles or bread. At our normal Indian joint in Wayzata an order of Naan is a basket piled high with several full pieces per person! We also enjoyed the jasmine tea, which was mild and relaxing. The staff was very friendly, and the prices were reasonable. This will be our go-​to meal spot for seeing shows again!

When I first heard of a new indian/​tibetan restaurant coming to my side of town I immediately hopped on the opportunity to get a hold of them and suggest they mark veganizable options on their menu, they were right on it! I’ve ordered dal and somosas for take out, always excellent, and the lunch buffet is great. Just make sure to ask which items are vegan. Their fried rice is amazing! When I’ve been for lunch it has always been between one of two regulars working. The girl does fine, just not overly smiley or welcoming. The guy is great! Talkative and makes sure you are enjoying your meal.

Small place with lots of Indian and tibetan dishes to chose from. I liked that the Indian dish I got wasn’t just mostly sauce with just small chunks of meat. The food had good pieces of chicken with just enough spices and rice to have good flavor. The portions were generous and the wait staff very friendly. I am looking forward to going back and trying their other dishes.

I LOVE this place so very much. I just moved from California this year and have found myself in quite the food culture shock being in a new state and on the outskirts of the city. I was definitely craving some authentic culture. Needless to say, My fiancé and I were SUPER excited to see a Tibetan/​Indian restaurant was opening less than a block away from our place. And even more exited when we learned how delicious it really was.
My goal is to try everything on the menu and so far, I have not been disappointed with one thing! Just delicious. Beef Momos, Muttar Panner, these are just a few of my favorite things.
Also, I FEEL as if the service is fantastic. They are extremely friendly & attentive (even when it’s busy). On one occasion, I brought a friend who was visiting and they were SUPER accommodating to her special diet needs. Saddens me that people would think otherwise.
Long story short, I would eat here every day if I could.

Charming restaurant with EXCELLENT food. Love that everything is fresh. On q chilly night, I had the Thentuk, a soup with homemade noodles and lots of veggies. And the steamed dumplings? Wow. Just wow. I’ll be back.

So happy to see this place open in downtown Hopkins! Their food is really yummy, their service is awesome, and their prices are extremely reasonable. We will absolutely be going back.

Rude customer service. I just called and asked about gluten free options and what they offered that was vegan and was told that they busy and she didn’t have time for me. I then asked if (you could quickly tell me then) if there were any general items that they keep on the lunch buffet and was told «indian food», then I asked if they could explain and she just rambled off a list as fast as she could.
I guess I won’t be going there.

I went there last night with my girlfriend to see if they have any dished worth trying. First of all the waiting staff were wonderful and very glad to serve us properly. I ordered the fried beef momos which well very juicy and tender. It also came with a very spicy sauce which made the meal much more better. My girlfriend had the chow mein which smelled amazing and also tasted very good too. Overall I had a great expierence and will definetly come back for there lunch buffet since it’s a great price.

I’ve been here a couple of times now for the lunch buffet, and it is very good, with friendly service and a good number of options at a reasonable price. Looking forward to trying it for a meal from the menu as well.

Small cute cozy. Complimentary jasmine tea is tasty and goes perfectly with the food.
The soups are huge. I had the palak paneer. So delicious and buttery. Rich and warm.
I’d also recommend the fried beef momos.

Unfortunately on my second visit we were overcharged for the lunch buffet. Something to watch out for!

Good restaurant. very reasonable price comparing to other Indian/​South Asian restaurant

Decided to give this place a try. The lamb curry was delicious. It was served with a side of rice. My only negative is that the way it’s prepared it’s full of bones. I had to be careful biting and chewing because of small bone chips and half my bowl was large chunks of bone.

Oh dear. The owners seem delightful (they wrote many of the previous positive previous reviews) and I think it really could be nice. The lighting was very bright and harsh, however. We were served half a pot of lukewarm tea as our welcome. The soup had a lot of broth, but not very tasty and the ingredients were not very fresh. We had the appetizer sampler which was a lot of dried fried-​fried. I want this place to be good and it will be I am sure, just not quite yet. Again the owners/​staff are really lovely.

My wife and I went to this restaurant tonight, in the first 10 minutes we were hearing other tables complain about their food we were hoping we wouldn’t have the same experience.
We started off with the vegetable samosa, they were good, sauce was good so that gave us hope that our main dishes would be good too. After waiting a long time and hearing the wait staff yelling and frazzled about other orders our food arrived. I’m guessing there was around 6 little pieces of chicken (if it was in fact chicken), disguised in a tomato soup. 3 of the pieces were brown/​black and hard to cut, the others few looked like chicken skin. The channa masala was like a bowl of steamed chickpeas; no sauce and bland. The nann was alright. Nothing we ordered was served hot. We told the wait staff we could not eat our food; being so grossed out by the meat was the tipping point. I believe my wife said, «This food is terrible.» They were nice to offer to make us something else but we declined and they didn’t charge us for the food.
We will not go back. It’s was sad to see. The service was unorganized and there was obviously no leadership on the floor or in the kitchen. No one should be served that quality of food at a restaurant. Sorry.

Stopped by and tried the buffet to go. Delicious!!! I wish I would’ve stayed so I could’ve tried more foods. I look forward to eating there again! It’s a small place though. I imagine the tables will fill up fast.

i stopped by for the lunch buffet. Very reasonable for $ 8.99. The selection is good — All of the food is hot and fresh. The meat dishes included a chicken curry and also a beef dish. My favorite was the Palak Paneer. It was rich in flavor and tasted like is was slow-​cooked. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive and also provided complimentary jasmine tea.
The restaurant itself is very clean and bright.
Overall, this was a nice lunch and Tibet Corner offers patrons something different from the usual fare around the Hopkins downtown area. I’ll stop in again for sure. I would certainly suggest that everyone gives it a try and you will likely be pleasantly surprised!

My housemate and I have been eagerly awaiting the opening of this eatery since we saw the signs a few weeks ago. So worth the wait! We came for dinner, and clearly both the kitchen and waitstaff were rounding out a busy day… but friendly service and regoshdarndiculously good food more than made up for minor snafus and delays.
The lamb biryani is fragrant with cardamom, pepper, cloves, the whole nine yards. Housie, who is from Texas, had the handmade Tibetan noodle soup with beef, which tasted like a heartier phở. He’s no longer worried about surviving the MN winter!
They serve a variety of momos (aromatic stuffed dumplings), both vegetarian and meat-​filled, fried and steamed. We had the steamed beef momo, and they were insanely rich/​flavorful. If you eat meat, DO NOT MISS THESE. The dipping sauce they come with is quite spicy– less is more.
We asked the chef to choose our dessert, and were served the tsampa cake– a hand pressed barley/​milk/​sugar confection, topped with ice cream, which melts and infuses into the cake. It has a dense, peanutbutter-​like texture, and a light barley flavor, but is not overly sweet. I don’t think it will be a big hit (just because it’s not the sweet baked cake that one might imagine), but I hope it will remain on the menu, as I quite liked it.
Overall, we are very excited by this addition to the neighborhood, and can’t wait to try the lunch buffet!
