I absolutely loved the food at this place and had the buffet with coworkers a handful of times. I am extremely bummed to find out that they have closed. We went the week of July 4th and saw a sign on the door saying«Closed until Monday.» Figured it was because of the holiday, but came back today and the same sign is still there and restaurant is still dark. Very strange as the tables are all still set with place settings and glasses as if nothing has changed. I hope it’ll come back, but from seeing other reviews that they’ve been this way a month now… I’m bummed. Don’t know another place with chicken makhani that good! Found the owner’s # has also been disconnected. It seemed to be run by a family, so hope they’re okay!

This place is one of my favorites. The lunch buffet is all-you-can-eat and is amazing! The regular dinners are also perfect. I try to go at least once a month and usually eat the lamb. Yes!

Buffet review only Ive been in for the buffet a few times. For only 8.95(before tax), it is well worth the money. They got varieties of meat dishes, veggie dishes, rice, noodle, salad. Everything was full of flavor. My favorite would have to be the buttered chicken and tandoori chicken. The service was also very nice and attentive. I will keep going back.

Our first & last dinner at this place. We were excited but it took forever to even get a server to our table and it was not crowded. When she finally arrived she kept looking over her shoulder at the other tables; she was disconnected. We got a wine and beer and ordered and we waited 45 minutes for 2 of the blandest, most flavorless dishes ever. They were listed as having chilies in the sauce but there were none. The naan was cold and the server never checked back with us as we ate. Previous reviews call this the best Indian food in Minneapolis?! For us it was the worst. They did remove one of the dishes off the bill, which was nice. Very disappointing dinner.

Great food! My favorite dish here is the spicy chicken tikka malai kabab! Sweet tooth? Try their Raas malai! Remember they have a break in the day from 2:30pm-5:00pm. So enjoy their buffet before or go for dinner after 5pm. Enjoy!

Hands down this is the best Indian food restaurant in twin cities. I highly recommend this place.

Terrible lunch buffet with old food that appeared to have been cooked in days previous. What kind of curry restaurant is void of a proper curry dish? No chicken tikka masala? No vindaloo? I had to ask for spicy and was handed a dish of Siracha. I hesitated to order a fountain drink because the Coke machine was old and had mold growing on it. I would not have paid .99 let alone $ 8.99 Gross, Gross, Gross.

Great value. Fantastic food. Great for takeout! We love the veggie biryani, chicken khorma, chicken tiki masala and tiki aloo!

If you are new to Indian food like I was, come in for the $ 8.99 lunch buffet and you’ll get an idea of what you like. The butter chicken is fantastic and you can soak up all that extra sauce with warm naan. Off the menu, the appetizer Chicken Chatpatta is addicting. I could have finished the whole thing(my wife will point out that I did have 80% of it). The chicken Khorma and chicken tikka masala are also excellent. The names of the dishes haven’t sunk in for me, so I need to study the menu. We sat next to an Indian couple who helped us navigate the menu and also offered suggestions. Super friendly and helpful. I would like to see selection of India Pale Ale(stick with locals Surly, Summit, Lift Bridge, Fulton) to complement their food. Maybe throw in a couple lagers(Surly Hell, Summit Pilsner) for good measure.

I moved to the area two weeks ago, and I have already been here three times. Great food, nice staff, and(weather permitting) nice outdoor patio. LOVE the garlic naan here, and typically pair that up with one of the chicken entrees like butter chicken it tikka masala.

Excellent food. Completely satisfied my craving for paneer! Only lost a star because they had a busy service and couldn’t clear tables quick enough but still most definitely worth the wait

I have to say, the décor was much more modern than at any other Indian restaurant I’ve been to. I wouldn’t recommend it for large groups since the space is smaller, but the food was delicious, the service was great, and I really felt like I was eating someplace posh.

The daily lunch buffet is affordable and fantastic. Be there around 11am or risk waiting in a long queue, which is usually out the door. Fortunately, Americans eat fast so the line moves quickly. I’ve been here three times and it’s always busy. The food is fresh. The only complaint I have is that most of the dishes are mostly mild. I guess they are toning down the spice too appease our Midwestern pallet. My favorite dish is the buttered chicken. They also serve what appears to be a couple Asian inspired dishes. Not good. Emphasize the«Curry» and drop the«Noodles.»

I’m pretty hard on places for 5 stars but this one very well should get 5(although still only give 4). I haven’t been here for dinner, that’s it… just a buffet which is too easy to do I would think. Great selection on the lunch buffet for a good price and the service was very good. Nice clean place, friendly staff and a bright open room(although pretty small). On to the important thing, the food! The food was fantastic! The buttered chicken was the best I think I’ve had(and I make a pretty mean buttered chicken). They had curried goat which was great, some great veggie and noodle dishes and plenty of curried chicken dishes. Flavors were very good, not at all dumbed down for the locals. The Tandoori Chicken was fantastic as well, great flavor and color. Really deserve 5 stars but ill come back for dinner some night to see what their menu is like and judge it then for that extra star. I’m tempted to go back tonight, it was that good! KT

Once again, some of the best take out ever! The samosas were even more flavorful than usual, the rogan josh was awesome as always and the tandoori chicken was full of flavor and juicy! CnN sure made a good impression on a visitor today.

We ordered some Indian take out from this place. It was a little difficult trying to call an order over the phone due to the guy’s heavy Indian accent. We ordered all kinds of stuff including chicken biryani, garlic naan, hot and sour soup, chicken masala, shrimp and broccoli dish, and vegetable stir fry noodles. I really enjoyed all the dishes except the chicken biryani. I normally like naan, but the garlic naan that we got had way too much garlic on it. When we walked into this restaurant to pick up the food, the clientele was primarily indian so you know that the food coming from this restaurant is authentic.

Crazy, well-crafted curry, Batman! This place really knocked my socks off with its awesomeness. The quality was a bit unexpected and I hope this place stays around since it occupies a corner that seems to be ever-changing hands. The name doesn’t give much away but it pretty much sums it up. They are all about curry and noodles. The menu claims they are a Indo-Asian restaurant, which would lead you to believe it might be Indian fusion; however, there is a distinct difference on the menu. Your choices are basically Chinese or Indian with a few other dishes from different Asian countries. Being so bold as to offer BOTH Indian and Chinese, you might think their eyes are bigger than their stomachs and they have too much on their plate. Not the case! The Indian food was some of the best I’ve had. I highly recommend the Chicken Makhani and a Mango Lassi. The Samosas are pretty good, but not my favorite and too spicy for me. The Garlic Naan was also nice and fluffy, but a bit too much garlic. I would go for Butter Naan next time. My friend and I split the bill and wound up paying about $ 20pp including tax and tip. So it’s not the cheapest meal, but far from outrageous. I’d say that’s the going-rate for food these days in a sit down restaurant. The Chicken Makhani was something like $ 11, which is probably $ 3 less than the majority of Indian places in the area.

I was excited that a place like this exists in Hopkins, as it’s a suburban area of the Twin Cities in dire need of vegan-friendly dining establishments. And, best of all, they have veg. manchurian(falafel-esque veg. balls in a soy gravy), one of my favorite Indo-Chinese dishes, and one that’s hard to come by. Unfortunately, the food here isn’t very good, on a whole. I’ll start off with the one good dish we had, the aloo gobi($ 10). I liked that this restaurant uses whole baby potatoes; in general, the dish came together and was well-seasoned and not oily. It went downhill from there. The veg. manchurian($ 10) had a strange, sharp taste to it. My guess is that the spices and seasonings weren’t cooked long enough. It certainly was not the way veg. manchurian is supposed to taste. We also had dhal($ 10) which similarly tasted under-cooked and was palatable, but not much better than that. The roti was decent. While the chef is friendly(he came to chat with us) and totally familiar with veganism, I was surprised that he doesn’t endeavor to have more creative vegan dishes(how about dishes with seitan, tempeh, or more dishes with tofu? how about lassi made with soy or rice/almond/hemp milk? how about just offering soy milk for chai?). It seems like a gross oversight and unfortunately, this restaurant can’t get by on its default vegan options, which aren’t very good. The outdoor patio is pleasant and the service was prompt and friendly. I’d give Curry ‘N’ Noodles another shot, but was unimpressed with my first visit.

I had their lunch buffet on a Sunday afternoon. There are no noodles as I expected. It was a typical Indian buffet with 2 – 3 vegetarian curries and a couple of meat curries(chicken and lamb). They had a very spicy vegetable biryani and I think there was chicken biryani as well. The veg curries were good with the right amount of spice. There was this Green colored halwa(not sure what it is) and payasam(rice pudding) as dessert. The pudding was out of this world. Very tasty. I had a couple of bowls of it. Overall, the buffet had good variety and taste. At the end of it all, my buddy and I realized there’s lentil soup too. We had not paid attention to that as it was hiding behind the counter. The price seems a little expensive at $ 12-$ 14 per buffet. But, its all you can eat. So, may be it makes sense.
