I discovered Hood River, OR in 2003 while on a 1 year RV adventure. I immediately fell in love with the town and the many outdoor activities that are all right here. After 15 years as an international corporate warrior for Mercedes-​Benz, I finally realized my dream of moving to the Columbia Gorge when I purchased Doppio in 2006. I wanted to create an atmosphere here that reflected my roots, bringing a little of Europe with me to the US. We have also adapted to our wonderful surroundings, focusing on the rich coffee culture of the Northwest and providing fresh, delicious foods from the bounty of the Columbia River Gorge.

Nice little coffee shop on the Main Street in Hood River. But, when you order a pumpkin chai and notice that the cup is only ¾ full before taking a sip… a little disappointing.

Touring the Columbia River Gorge, decided to stop in this town for a coffee break. Nice place with a wooded interior, nice art on the walls. I liked the ambiance. I sat at a small bar area in the southern sun exposure. Barista pulled an excellent shot for the Americano and the pastries are made on site. Loved the chocolate chip cookie to enjoy with my Americano. Staff friendly and service is quick.

Great place to grab a cup of coffee! The staff is always very friendly and welcoming and the space is always kept very clean. Doppio has a very modern feel with its large ceiling to floor windows, dark wooden walls and high metal barstools, so it’s a unique take on a coffee house. (Vs the usual warm and cozy feel) There is ample indoor and outdoor seating available (and dogs are allowed to chill with you outside while you enjoy your coffee and the cute fountain on display). They have a good snack or small lunch menu and they make the best Americano in town. If your passing through Hood river, or are a local who hasn’t stopped in yet be sure to give them a try! You won’t be sorry :)

If it wasn’t for the sometimes long lines/​waits, I’d give Doppio 5 stars. The coffee is awesome, the atmosphere is good, and the staff is out of this world great! Recommend the Miguelito drink and an Oregon salad for breakfast– great way to start the day.

Coffee is delicious, staff is attentive, cute and friendly. They carry godfather farms brownies which makes me Super happy. Service is fast, and you can relax as you please.
Try the curry tofu salad sammy, it’s delicious.
It’s a great spot to sit outside and watch downtown buzz.

I had a short stop in Hood River for lunch, and stumbled upon Doppio. It’s a great spot to grab some great coffee. It was a relatively hot day, so I went with their basic iced coffee. If you’re a fan of nuttier /​mellow coffee (i.e. not fruity or acidic) then you should definitely check out Doppio. The coffee was very smooth and great to drink. I regret not bringing some beans back to Los Angeles!

Nice little trendy spot on the Main Street with both indoor and outdoor seating! They have huge «windows» that open out so it even feels like you’re sitting outside when you’re not!
I got the Iced Mocha $ 4.25 for 16oz (light on ice) and it was super good. The coffee is smooth and very flavorful! Highly recommend it!
The bathrooms are ok and also serves as a storage spot just in case you’re wondering!

I always stop here when I’m in Hood River but have never thought to write a review. They’re coffee is always fresh and good. They have a nice assortment of salads and sandwiches. Got an egg, sausage & cheddar sandwich today. Good but a little bland. The ciabatta roll was fresh and sausage flavorful. My friend had a Kona Mocha smoothie. Excellent. I had an iced doppio. Just how I like it.

Cute coffee shop/​café with a full menu in the heart of Hood River. Latte had a nice and strong flavor. Peach, pear and apricot smoothie was refreshing on this late summer evening. I wish I was hungry enough to try their food. Looked quite appetizing!

I really enjoyed my tuna sandwich. This isn’t the canned stuff! Great chunks of tuna with dill and mustard seeds — really good. I subbed the regular bread for a toasted ciabatta and I was pleased.

Smelled like burned popcorn inside. The highly touted fountain was surrounded by debris. No view. Outside seating is ok. Had wine, lemon bar. WiFi available.

Wow, Hood River has a lot of roasters in town. Impressive!
With this many choices, where do you go? I would start here at Doppio. We enjoyed our latte and they had some great breakfast pastries and even several bright quick plates of breakfasty food, for those in a rush (salads for breakfast and fresh fruit with oatmeal or yogurt, a strada) who want something a bit more substantial.
In all, just a café but one with excellent expresso and friendly staff where you can find some nibbles in the AM, if you are in a rush. Solid.

A must visit if you are in Hood River and is a coffee lover!
The interiors are so right and staff is friendly and soft spoken. Loved the Migalito expresso with milk. Freshly brewed and perfectly strong. Took the second shot! The crunchy coconut chocolate cookie was so apt combination. I am for sure going there again.
