Yuna Nail

I’ve been to see Yuna twice now and I have to say she has been great both times! I would highly recommend the calgel nails, very long lasting. I also got a basic pedicure both times which felt excellent as I spend a lot of time on my feet. I always feel refreshed afterwards. Yuna really takes her time and gets to know what the customer wants. Definitely check her out! :)

*Tip: Since her nail station is inside a beauty salon, be prepared to inhale some fumes from the salon side (especially if multiple people are getting perms/​highlights/​coloring).
Normally, I would be skeptical about trying new nail salons due to very poor previous experiences. I wear heels 5 days a week so I wanted to get a pedi as a little birthday treat. I’ve decided to give Yuna Nail a chance since her reviews were pretty consistent about how friendly, attentive, and how skilled she is at her profession. Also, her prices are very reasonable.
Sure enough, she was all of the above!
– AWESOME SIDE –
Yuna presented excellent customer service and made sure that every step throughout the pedicure was painless and is up to my standards. She would ask if she was applying too much pressure during the massage (which she wasn’t, because after walking around in heels all day, a girl needs a deep calf massage). She was constantly checking if she was hurting me during the callous removal and if I would like soft or hard scrubbing for my legs. I LOVE the fact that she cares about her customer’s experience (unlike many other places I’ve been to that have careless mani/​pedicurist that made me bleed). What I loved even more, was how RELAXED and how smooth my legs and feet felt after!
– NOT SO AWESOME SIDE —
The Basic Pedi package DID come with a polish color of your choice, however, I wanted to spring for the gradation design (because it’s my birthday and I wanted to splurge a little, hehe). Yuna tried her best to make it look good (I blame my small toes for the gradation not coming out better). After she was finished, I realized that (with the small toenails I have) my wallet and I would’ve been more satisfied if I just stuck with the one color polish.
Overall Experience: Better than average. Definitely on my top 5 nail spots. :)

I found Yuna the same as most of the reviews here… through a Groupon many, many months ago and I have to say that in the beginning I was skeptical because I had done other Calgels before and they didn’t stay or chipped early. But after going to her the very first time I am a frequent 3 – 4 week customer. She is a very friendly and pleasant lady, she is very good at what she does and takes pride in her work. Her process of doing the Calgels is one that makes them last the whole 3 – 4 weeks. And what I love is that I let her experiment with my nails, she will suggest colors or I give her colors and I let her do her thing and I’ve never been disappointed. Her designs, skill & patience makes me confident in her as an artist and keeps me as a loyal customer. I love it!

Found Yuna through a Groupon a while back and have been going to her since. I’ve been going because shes literally a sole proprietor, her business lives and dies with her, so I respect her a lot. Todays probably the 4^th or 5^th time I’ve gone to her, this time I got a gel polish and pedi. She’s highly attentive to detail as well as passionate about her work. I think this is actually the first time I was pleased with the massage I got during the pedi, cuz I took a nap. I’m totally set to bling thru my birthday month. Thank you Yuna.

I started out with a groupon and for the past several months my nails have been the strongest and most beautiful looking nails. I am very active. My gel nails by Yuna are put to the test every day. I usually wait three weeks to schedule my next appointment. I am a very happy customer. She is always on time. Get to know this wonderful woman and your hands will be well cared for!

I went to Yuna the first time using a Groupon. I liked the CalGel and her attention to detail. So, I just went back for the touch-​up. I love it. She is VERY good. I would recommend her to anyone. She is knowledgeable, reasonable, friendly and very professional.

We started out on the wrong foot – although I’m not sure you would know what that means since you readily admit your English is limited. ;-) Nevertheless, after visiting you for a Calgel «diamond» tip manicure, I am happy to say that we’re back on the right track.
You seem like a really sweet lady and you did a nice job with my nails. Your prices are definitely competitive. I also like that the Calgel lacquer is still on my nails after two weeks and still looks fantastic – no chips or breakage. Woot woot! I’d never heard of Calgel before, and I liked that you posted an explanation on your web site:

For those who aren’t familiar with you, I found your nail station located just inside the front door at Mona Beauty Salon, next to CR Newton. Parking in the small shared lot was limited and street parking was almost nonexistent. The salon is kind of a hole in the wall, but they say good things come in small packages, right?

I went to Yuna because I bought a groupon deal. I bought the two color gradient. When I went there she told me I could get one color of the diamond glitter or two of another type of glitter. Okay. I chose the Diamond glitter just because it was of a better quality.
I was expecting my whole nail to have the glitter. Instead only the tips of my nails have glitter. I have short nails, it looks horrible. I hate it. Right after she did it for my friend and I, we both wanted to take it off. The calgel was already coming off the day of. I won’t be going back. Ever. Not even worth the $ 27 I paid on groupon, let alone $ 60.

Yuna is very friendly, honest, knowledgable and helpful. She is by far the only pedicurist I have been to that has actually took the time and has the patience to actually make my feet really smooth! I don’ t have very feminine looking feet and after she was done with my feet, I didn’t recognize my own feet because they were so beautiful and smooth. I am very happy to have found her here on Unilocal and will continue to go to her for all my mani/​pedi needs because she is the best! And on top of that, she gives killer foot/​leg massages that are to die for! Go experience what you’ve been missing! What are you waiting for?

First time for CalGel nails with glitter. They look great. Yuna did SUCH a NICE job. She is friendly. Offers tips/​advice. I came here while on vacation. I don’t speak anything but TX drawl. I understood her perfectly when she asked me to do something or gave me instructions. We had a friendly conversation too. She also did a basic pedicure for me. Probably the BEST pedicure I’ve ever had. Thorough trimming, pumicing and scrubbing. Exfoliation was great. Leg and foot massage AWWWWWW-​SOME!!! Locals… Come here. She is great I promise!!! I discovered Yuna through Groupon. I got the calgel with large diamond glitter in gold. I had many compliments as a lot of people don’t know what calgel is. The only time I got calgel was my trip to Okinawa and I paid almost tripple the costs. Yuna is a very detailed nail artists as well a very nice person. She mentioned that she did live and work in Japan for a few years so this gives you a better feel for her artwork. So far I’ve seen her twice and will be back again (calgel is refillable).
Note: I am also pregnant and I didn’t smell any fumes.
She has a station in Mona’s Salon so an appointment is highly reccomended. Parking is adequate.

Yuna is such a nice and talented nail artist. I bought the groupon, got the two glitter gradient manicure. She is very detail oriented, is trilingual (Korean, Japanese, and English), and has very competitive pricing.
Pricing: Basic pedicure is $ 25/​spa pedicure is $ 35, calgel refills within two weeks is $ 25 (I think her calgel is $ 55 if it’s not a refill). I would come back for the competitive calgel refill pricing and quality.
Selection: she has a good selection of OPI polishes, loose glitter in varying sizes, and different embellishments for nail art.
Location: She is located in Mona Beauty Salon, located across from Banyan Tree Plaza. Mona Beauty Salon is in the same complex as CR Newton.
Parking: Park in the visitor stalls or stall 3. Fairly easy to park in the stalls and I consider myself a poor parker.
