Yew Productions is amazing. I met with Jacob at Starbucks to go over my project concept. He has great ideas, is wonderful at verbalizing what and how he will shoot to the client (me), and is highly intelligent. He also is very friendly and easy to get along with. His impish smile, and good-​nature charm make working a breeze.
Jacob also let me borrow a wireless mic for another project… wow! Who ever heard of great customer service like that? He is very conscientious of his work and worked tirelessly for a number of hours to make sure he had more than enough footage and b-​roll for the finished product. In line with that conscientiousness, he brought a second shooter, Ashley, who is gorgeous, super duper helpful, and has local style humor which I love.
They brought 2 DSLR video cameras, a drone, and all kinds of fancy equipment that I don’t know the names of. Yew Productions is highly affordable, had great samples of their work online, and caters to business owners looking to have professional promo videos, or other projects. Most local Hawaii video production companies do only wedding or one type of cookie cutter video.
Yew Productions allows for customization, originality, and strives for passion and feeling in their videos. Highly recommend! (Plus, a total added benefit… and for me the deciding factor was that Jacob is amazingly professional and non-​skebe! Yay!!! Will definitely hire again!!!)

Updating this review after receiving my video. WOW. Jacob nailed it. I have a hard time watching myself dance typically, but everything was put together so perfectly. The sunrise with the drone footage, the golden glitter sand, the flower, the way he captured the hula dance (which is amazing because some of it was even in Hawaiian). Jacob was really able to capture pure emotion. He had me tearing with his lovely work. His «first cut» was immediately approved as the «final cut».
Hire Jacob and his team. Simply amazing… okay…don’t hire him too much, because I need him to have some time open for future projects for my hula company. hee hee. Seriously amazing amazing stuff. Thank you Jacob!!!
