History

Established in 2009.

83 East is founded on a simple idea: Watching yourself surf is awesome. Drawing upon decades of surf experience and wave knowledge, we’ve long understood the thrill of surfing, and have established our company with the goal of reliving that feeling, again and again. From your very first wave to the air reverse you finally, FINALLY landed, 83 East provides personalized, professional, in-​the-​water videography to surfers of all levels. Originally established — and still working — in partnership with the Ty Gurney Surf School, 83 East has grown to include clients throughout Hawaii and the mainland.

Oh, and we also have an English bulldog that surfs. Which is really awesome.
