Problem # 1: Does NOT accept credit cards. & does cash only. ALL Buffets nationwide SUPPOSED to take credit cards. Problem # 2: Not enough variety for the restaurant. A buffet suppose to have more types of dishes than the ones display. NEEDS more types of foods!!! Problem # 3: Slightly lack of organization. Sorry Wok Kiki Buffet. You guys need a lot of work. I’ll be generous enough to give a 2⁄5 stars. But seriously, please fix those problems I stated above for further improvement to your restaurant.

Another restaurant I’ve passed by many a time on the way to work. Today I was able to get off early and decided to finally check it out. My family is a big fan of the super Chinese buffets on the mainland. This means it’s a mix of all you can eat American food and American friendly Chinese food. I’m not a huge fan(I like variety but don’t eat a lot of food at once), but as I was walking towards the Ramada, started to become nostalgic and miss my family. So sure, it’s lunch time and the buffet is still $ 16, but hey. I’m here. Let’s do this. Inside it’s small but clean. Looks like they have a bar that opens for dinner. I’m used to buffet food being labeled, but I guess they didn’t find it necessary? You can pretty much figure out what’s going on in it, so ehh. Whatever. Only thing is I came at 12, and there just wasn’t a lot of variety. I did like that they had dumplings available, and she served me tea right when I sat down but… it’s just a little underwhelming. I would’ve rather had gone and paid for my $ 10 poke bowl I was originally headed to(worth every penny!). Overall, I enjoyed a full plate of food and picked at some fruit while listening to Hawaiian music in the background. But, definitely left not feeling like I got my money’s worth. Curiosity quelled; no need to come back here again.

It’s as if the proprietor manning the cash register at the entrance read on my forehead the words« Unilocal elite reviewer’! It’s Sunday night, and we check out Wok Kiki empty at 5pm, walk completely around the block, and the place becoming full of Chinese, so we give it a shot, bad reviews and all. One price includes tax, tip and soda drinks. The lady at the entrance smiles seeing us come back, and beckons us in like an old lost relative, just like in the Olive Garden restaurant commercials! Floor is exceptionally clean, and the food service counters are also clean, with employees cleaning up right away any customer counter spills, and replenishing the food with regularity. There are about 4 aisles, one aisle for fruits, and desserts, one aisle for soups, one aisle for vegetables, and one aisle for seafood and meats. No labels as they assume you know what you are eating! Pretty meager selection of fruits, desserts and soups, but that doesn’t concern me. And if you come for soups you’ve come to the wrong place! Besides I don’t want to hear you slurping your food! Needless to say, at $ 19.50 per person I was going to skip the fruits, desserts, soups, vegetables, and sodas, and eat only the seafood and meats, and get my money’s worth! First plate is a sampler plate –small portions of every seafood they serve, just to get an idea of what’s good. Plastic utensils –actually I like that as I take the utensils back to the hotel room to use for breakfast cereal. The salt and pepper prawns are tasty but very messy –got to rip off the legs, and peel off the shell –got no patience for that, unlike my Chinese neighbor whose plate is piled high with prawns like she’s afraid they will run out! They also have mussels, squid, egg plant –my wife’s favorite, chicken, beef, and beef stew. Beef stew in a Chinese buffet? Probably a concession to the white guys who are meat and potatoes eaters. The beef stew is hidden underneath a layer of grease on the top, and goes well with the white rice. The shrimp with mixed vegetables is one of my favorites, even though I, like everyone else, am cherry picking the shrimp off of the vegetables. The boiled white fish over cooked cabbage is absolutely divine! I’m in seafood heaven, and get three platefuls of it, with the empty dish plates being promptly removed –great service. The fish doesn’t have a whole lot of flavor by itself, but the cooked cabbage blends very well in taste. We waddle on out, and back to our hotel in the Kalia Tower of Hilton Hawaiian Village, 5 minutes away, bellies full and contented. The wife was thankful that we were in separate beds that night, as eating that much cabbage caused me to have a string of farts!

After four hours of Waikiki beach, I feel super hungry. Pass by this place many times why not give it a try. I went around 11:15am, the foods was ok for $ 15. A lot of seats, but suddenly around 11:40, a huge group of tours come in, all the food gone in five minutes, and new groups keep coming until I leave around 12:30pm And I don’t even have chance to go for second round. Workers are very friendly in the front. I will go again next time if there’s no tour group!

OMGOMG!!! Lol So this place may be one of the worse buffets or even restaurants that I have been too. Usually when giving a 1 star, I feel a bit bad for the business but I just can’t seem to squeeze out much sympathy here for this one. The only kind of good thing about this place is that the people here were not rude to us. I mean… they weren’t nice and the service wasn’t good, but at least they weren’t rude. OK now on to the bad things. I find it funny because I’ve had my fair share of buffets. I’ve gone with my parents on many Chinese Tours and they all involve at least 3 bad Chinese buffets. For this one, we went on a tour with Hawaiian Sunshine tours which made us prepay for this buffet without knowing and we essentially were forced to eat here since they had already take our monies. Sadly, I think this restaurant pretty much fails on all aspects. We went for dinner and the price was $ 20 a person. There was a total of 3 aisles of food, one of which aisle was the«salad, fruits and dessert» aisle. It was a complete joke. This aisle had a total of 4 items, a iceberg plain lettuce bowl, a bowl of oranges, a bowl of brown reddish fluid which ended up being red bean dessert but actually barely had any red beans in it and was just water, and the 4th bowl was was a greenish fluid with was mung bean dessert which had like 3 mung beans in it.(Please see photo I tried to slyly take of the aisle for reference). I’m sorry folks, if you are looking for a slice of white cake, or a cookie, or scoop of ice cream for dessert after your $ 20 meal, than you are asking to much of this place because it has nothing along those lines. The other two aisle has regular food. Selection was small and the food itself was below average for a buffet. Poorly seasoned and greasy. And THESOUPS. The soups were essentially just water, there is nothing in it(Please see second photo for reference) Besides that, the soda was weird. I heard the other table ask each other why the soda from the soda machine has no sugar or sweetness in it. And my parents who were drinking the Pepsi said that their soda tasted like fake soda and something was wrong. Also! The floor to the main food scooping area was totally wet and I almost slipped 2 times. This place is not huge and we came at 5 pm. I mean, was there really nothing to be done about the huge puddle of water on the floor that was tracking water everywhere? This is the first buffet I’ve ever been too where the people eating had to clean their own plates. After eating, we were suppose to empty our plates at a trash can and put the dirty plates. Is there a rag somewhere where you would like me to wipe my own table also? I’m sorry I sound bitter. But really, $ 20 dinner for crappy food and there is literally no service at all. I also asked one of the employees where the bathroom was. She gave me the wrong directions to go to it outside of the restaurant and didn’t tell me i needed a lock code to use it. So I had to find the bathroom, then walk back inside, ask her again for the code because she didn’t tell me what it was. Overall the bad rating this time is not for bad service or rudeness, but this restaurant is just not a good restaurant at all. :(

This is a typical Asian inspired buffet, with three stations of items. Expect a few cold /salad items, steamed rice, fried rice, spring rolls, and an assortment of entrees(orange chicken, beef stir fry, etc.) Pros: Friendly staff(they let us in early for lunch since our time was limited) Reasonable price($ 14.50 for lunch) Beverages included(soda machine and tea) Cons: Relatively bland food Food not very warm(despite being fresh from the kitchen) Filthy bathrooms No dessert option Very little fresh fruit /salad stuff It was an okay lunch — kind of a «you get what you pay for» thing. Don’t expect crab legs, shrimp, or mahi mahi — but don’t expect to pay $ 40 either.
