Awesome spot for happy hour/late lunch. Had wings and kalua pork and pineapple pizza. The pizza was good, had a ton of pork, and was only $ 8 for a 10 inch was totally enough to feed two. $ 2.25 drafts beers are hard to beat.

Dive bar awesome sauce! This is exactly the kind of place I would hood rat. No dress code, cheap drinks, good music, pool tables, booths, and tvs. Went in for Broke Ass Monday($ 3 for a pitcher, we got one each). Music was old school hip-hop and reggae, wide dance floor full of America’s Best Dance Crew try outs.

We stopped here for shots and beers on separate occasions. It’s on the basement level and is a dark subdued environment perfect for drinking. Came in one evening and it was a dance night with about 20 guys and 5 girls… Sausage Fest!

Where to go after drinks at Dukes… arrived around Midnight on Sunday and there were only a handful of people here. Space is very large and comfortable but if you are looking for a crowd think you are better off checking out the clubs in Waikiki. Self pitchers were only $ 4, booths shaped like baseball gloves were open for the taking and waitresses were super friendly. Can’t really recommend the calamari(dry) or the Poke(unusually mushy… I assume it was way past the expiration date). Definitely recommend this spot if you are with a group of friends trying to avoid any type of crowd.

I went down to this bar one time for the Pacquiao vs., Mosley fight that they were showing. We had reservations so getting seats and stuff was not an issue. The restaurant/bar itself is pretty homey and chill. It has that dark and underground kind of atmosphere but in a good way. We you enter the bar through the entrance on Kalakaua Ave. you can probably tell that it is a sports bar because of the fliers and signage that they post up near the entrance. They had a great atmosphere, set-up, and presentation for the fight with small TVs all around and a big huge one in the main isle projecting the fight. The food/pupus that we ordered wasn’t that bad. The prices are decent and typical for a pupu menu. Drinks are also not bad price wise as well. We had some edamame, fries, and burgers. The staff and customer service is good. They also have other bar kind of games around like darts and stuff. The tables and seats are decent enough to just chill and hang out and stuff. Other than coming there for the fighting event, I would say that is a relaxed kind of bar atmosphere. I would try probably come here next time for another event. Unilocal 365 Challenge #298/365

–Monday Review– This place and Lulu’s is the place to be on Mondays if you want to party. The theme on Monday is literally call ‘Broke Ass Monday’. They charge a $ 5 entry fee, but their beer and shots(selected) are dirt cheap… I’m talking about under $ 5! The place is an underground place with a small dance floor and two pool table in the back with a DJ playing a mix of hip-hop and techno music. The crowd overall seems to be in their early 20s… they have mostly tourists here, but some locals. The most important thing here is that well ventilated for an underground location. Unfortunately, the women’s restroom was quite messy since no one is attending it and the door’s lock was broken on one of the stalls(only two toilets). Minus points! This place opens till 4am and you can drink to your content, so enjoy!

Cheap drinks a plenty !! Whoo hoo !! 2.25 for a blue hawaiian? 4.50 for a double? Oh yes please !! We came here on a fri night and it was pretty quiet. Had the steak and shrimp, it wasnt the best, but you get what you pay for at times, and it was one of those things that you know that your getting the deal on the cheap drinks that were good and sacrificing on the food, but it’s a bar and it’s cheap so what do you expect ?? The waitress was cute and fast and always around to offer another drink without being pushy. The music wasn’t too loud but it wasnt the type of place you go for intimate conversation. From what I can see, there are always some sort of drink special to be had. If you want out of the sun, and a deal on drinks outside of the happy hours,(and your not too fussy on ambiance) then check it right the **** out

«Average for cheap Beer, Poor for dive bar atmosphere» Wow, what a DIVE. This is a great place to stop for CHEAP drinks in Waikiki(nothing is really cheap, but this is dirt cheap). HOWEVER– the atmosphere may not be worth the drinks. Very few people, felt deserted.

Cover is $ 5, at least for women. I came on a Monday night. It got pretty packed. They have $ 3 mini pitchers of beer and a dance floor. There was an older man on the floor who was pretty entertaining, not sure if he was drunk. He has some interesting moves and kept winking at me lol. If you like being a wallflower and watching people dance, this is a good place to do it at. During some songs, people will hit the floor(including my friends) and dance the way it’s danced on the music videos. By the bar, if you’re not ordering, do not block the back pathway. There’s a bouncer guarding that area and he’ll tell you to move. He’ll flash his flashlight at you if you’re in the way.

Went here last nite for Halloween n just so happen it was broke dick Monday so I knew they had cheap drinks but I wasn’t expecting the cover to be $ 15 good lord!!! There were 3 of us so I wasn’t about to spend $ 45 just to drink but good thing I knew one of the bouncers so we just walked straight in… thank u my brahddah!!! Now for the review… crazy packed on Monday’s n I guess it’s like that every Monday or so I’ve heard but I guess it was really packed cuz it was also Halloween… lots of beautiful women but also ALOT of young college kids there to get crazy… the only beers u can get in those mini pitchers were the domestic ones BOO!!! All in all u can’t go wrong with $ 3.00 mini pitchers it just sucks that it’s all the way in Waikiki where parking is hard to find n the place looks like a dungeon.

I’ve only been to this place twice. Once to play as a musician, and most recently as a patron. It might be a biased weird phobia opinion of mine, but the first time I hated it because it was super crowded and I hate crowds and standing in line forever to get a drink. But being crowded is a plus if you are the musician so I can’t complain right? The second most recent time I came here was last month on Broke Dick Mondays. I thought the cheap pitchers $ 3 and cheap beer cups were great until I got to the doorway and they charged for cover to get in!(scratches head?). There wasn’t even a band playing, and the DJ was crappy. I guess it’s what you gotta do to make up for people paying for cheap beer. Another bummer was that the beer selections for the Broke Dick Monday specials were crappy piss water beer such as Bud Light, Miller Lite, etc. I opted for the Miller Lite. The pitchers are like baby pitchers that are made for midgets. I didn’t order anything on the menu as none of the choices seemed appetizing. The waitresses and service were blegh. Most were congregating on the side and it was hard to reorder another beer or pitcher. I finished two pitchers, and left on my merry way. Damn you Red Lion for luring me into your crap hole cave with your false advertisements!

Well, if having food poisoning or virus infection is your idea of fun in Honolulu, feel free to come here. Initial impression was«oh, $ 3.00 you call its». well, apparently they meant«3.00 you get a sweet drink with almost no alcohol». the mai tai, as another user posted, was just a kids drink. after having just left the mai tai bar in mall a couple hours before the drink strength was a joke here. I visited the bathroom while we waited for our orders and, again, the users are correct in that the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. It doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned for weeks. having been a janitor when I was young I could easily tell this was a virus infection waiting to happen. Once I finished up in the bathroom I came back to find my sampler was ready. I took a few large bites and nearly gagged on myself. It was raw. uncooked food. We asked to have the food heated(I shoulda just left…) and it came back warm at least. Not hot, but warm. And probably has something in it. The only reason this place gets 1 star is because Unilocal requires it. But I would say the DJ did a good job, though nobody was dancing and the place was near empty. We liked the music… about it. So…would think the night is behind you at this point, but ended up waking up at 3am this morning puking my brains out. Place should be shut down for letting food go out on tables like that.

My initial reaction was …how big can a bar be when its underground? Then… …how empty can a bar be on a Saturday night? Apparently Monday nights is when the party is hopping for the Red Lion. …cool! pool tables! awww coin operated …decent sized dance floor. Too bad only my drunk friend is dancing. Strangely. Dancing very strangely. …cool! Amber bock on tap! $ 4 mini pitchers on Saturdays?! The bf is VERY happy. Decent place. Decent drinks. Decent fun. Too bad its in the middle of Waikiki where parking can be hard to find.

In a word, Ick. My wife and I went for the advertised happy hour, and while the prices were good, the prospect of contracting typhoid fever made the pricing somewhat less attractive. The restrooms were more disgusting than any I have seen, and that includes rest stops off the interstate and gas stations. My wife said a cock roach scampered across the floor in the ladies room. The mai tai was sweet and watery, which made it the worst we had while on the island. Do yourself a favor: go somewhere else. If you do decide to go here though, make sure all of your shots are up-to-date.

$ 0.75 Happy Hour on Broke Ass Mondays! Open till 4am and packed all night. Great place to take a break from buying over priced drinks with the Same alcohol content! This bar is underground, under the Hyatt Regency hotel. Great place to watch a Game or UFC Fight!!! I did not try the food except for appetizers which were pretty damn Good.

this bar was a joke! We saw the FREAKYFRIDAY sign right outside and got excited bout the cheap beers, once we go in it was super empty! College night my butt! there was like maybe three normal looking college boys at the bar, a couple playing pool, old people sitting on some tables and thats it! and it was already 11 am! not only that but they tried to charge us 5 bux at the door, this place was a joke! even the waitresses were weirdos. the poor dj was okay, but was djing for no one! …next!!!

Cheap cheap cheap CHEAP! This place has awesome happy hour prices and cheap drinks! They even had a double up special day where they double the alcohol content of your drink for the same price as a regular! Really, if I was a regular drinker — I would be even more excited. The fact that I am not and am still think it’s exciting means something! Awesome! They have specials and happy hour everyday! Be sure to make use of it all! =) We came in during a non-happy hour time — Beer was $ 3! I don’t even remember how much my coconut rum with pineapple juice was, it was a double and it was tasty! We also ordered delicious calamari with a Philly CheeseSteak and a Chicken Pesto Panini Sandwich! For bar food at 1AM — it was excellent! Overall, thumbs up! I recommend coming here when all the other stores are closed. During the day, I would recommend another place where you can see the water and enjoy the Hawaiian sun. Red Lion is really a night-time hang out place when everything else is closed.

Had an awesome time drinking up with a few people who worked at the bar, all very very cool! I would recommend this spot for a nice chill night. They do have a good selection of drinks, decent sized dance floor, pool and darts. So overall not a bad spot at all. The cover was only $ 5, which sure is cheap and well worth poking your head in and having a few drinks. Decent music as well, typical but decent. Overall worth checking out and having a few drinks!

I stopped by here for a drink — they have great happy hour specials. The Mai Tai really wasn’t very good at all, which is weird because I’d think that it’s almost kind of tough to mess something like that up… I’d go back, but definitely opt for another drink. This place is located right on Waikiki, but is underground so if you’re looking to enjoy a cocktail with an oceanfront view, this is the wrong spot. If you don’t really care, then this place is just fine.

Late on a Thurs PM, my Cali girls were leading me to the kick ass swim suit store they found in 1 of the hotels, while I was @ work. Unfortunately, it was closed but on the way back we spied a sandwich board that read ‘Dolla balla Thursdays’. With a $ 5 cover, domestics were literally $ 1, wells were $ 2& international beers were $ 3. They have 2 pool tables were games are also $ 1 but that’s everyday of the wk & a few dart boards too. A DJ played hip hop and we had a good time chattin it up w/a ton of people. The only real negative is the ladies room. Girls – WTF are you doin in there!?! It’s disgusting. *shuttering* Went back last PM and @ about 10, it got hella crowded. Who are all these people that get to stay out late & play while I hafta go home early b/c of work??? So UNFAIR!!!
