Leis arrived in California on a Tuesday, the day before graduation, lovely and fragrant in beautiful condition. The double Epi Orchid with Tuberose lei was so unique and contrasted nicely with the royal blue color of the graduation gown. The lavendar Double Orchid with Tuberose lei was full and exquisite.
Both leis went back into the refrigerator that night after the graduate wore them on the field together with a pile of other flower and candy leis, hugging friends and relatives. By the grad party on Saturday, the epi orchid tuberoses were slightly yellow but still OK, and the lavendar orchid with tuberoses was still very fresh looking.
They made the occasions so very special.

The picture of the leis online look much more full than in person. Sometimes the color is a little off and I’ve received the wrong lei before. Still, they are pretty. They are expensive but not as expensive as the shipping!
I live in California and use this place regularly for special occasions. When I try to save money with shipping I usually get a phone call saying that I HAVE to use overnight shipping or else the quality of the leis are compromised. They are correct! It’s a lot more expensive but I always get it on time. The problem is when I opt for overnight shipping for a holiday like mother’s day I get a phone call saying I should get the lei on Friday instead of Saturday because they can’t guarantee it’ll make it on time due to high volume of orders. If you get orchids this isn’t a problem but tuberose or plumeria or ginger might not make it without turning brown. Overall I like this place… Good customer service and always on time and very impressive in person.

I ordered the double tuberose lei w/​pink roses for my daughter’s graduation from college, and was extremely disappointed in the lei I received. The online photo shows a full, white tuberose lei w/​what looks like full-​sized pink roses… A thick, substantial lei.
The lei I received looked nothing like the online photo. First, the tuberoses were yellow, not white. And they were pure yellow, not even a creamy white. If the lei I received was a double tuberose lei, I’m afraid to see what a single lei looks like. The lei I received was thin and drooping. I specifically requested on my order that the pink roses be a substantial size, so that they were visible. The type of pink roses used in the tuberose lei were those tiny, baby spray roses. And finally, the tuberoses were in terrible condition. The ends were curled up and brown and the flowers were wilted.
I was actually embarrassed when I saw my daughter lining up at graduation w/​the double tuberose lei w/​pink roses. Really, the Costco leis looked better… They were full and fresh. With tax & shipping, this lei cost me almost $ 75.00. Save your money… Definitely not worth the expense, and definitely not worth the disappointment on such a special occasion.

The flowers and leis that I did received were beautiful. However they forgot to pack my groomsmen’s leis. I also got a very colorful bouquet and was disappointed when it came with a plastic stem to hold onto. The pictures I sent them had the stems to hold not an ugly plastic holder. The bouquet was also quite expensive so I was bummed. They did refund me the money for the missing groomsmen leis. They also seemed disorganized because I got about 5 different phone calls on different days asking me when I was going to pick the flowers up.

The leis arrived in California in beautiful condition. They actually arrived by FedEx at 2:25 PM and the party started at 2 PM. Wonderful timing. The leis aren’t that expensive but the shipping certainly is. But, I would definitely use this company again.

What customer service! I ordered a lei for my daughter’s graduation on line only to receive a call a few minutes after ordering. They wanted my lei to be as fresh as it could be for my event. They made a few suggestions for my order, which would make my order very special. Thanks for care HLC

Ordered 10 orchid leis for a Hawaii 50 themed party. They are gorgeous.perfect. The Hawaiian Lei Company was easy to work with and did everything they said they’d do and more. Fed ex… not so much. Ordered on Wednesday 2^nd day shipping fed ex due on Friday got them Saturday morning. Gorgeous! Fresh and lovely. I am in Maryland and they were shipped in July. cannot say enough good things about The Hawaiian Lei Company!!!

I hail from Gilroy, CA, garlic capitol of the world and I’ve used Hawaiian Lei Company on two occasions and every time I was blown away by the quality and freshness of the leis.
The website does not do the leis justice and I will continue to order from this site for almost every important occasion I can think of!
Recently, I placed an order too late for the date I wanted them to come in and they called me right away to let me know, instead of sending me a generic email. I did have to pay the difference in the shipping but I didn’t mind. That’s what I call great customer service!

Ordering on-​line with Hawaiian Lei is a breeze. This shop is perfect for Valentine’s, Mother’s day and especially graduation.
The double purple orchids with tuberose lei runs about $ 75 with shipping to the mainland. It’ll arrive in perfect condition even if it’s to the East or West Coast. We’ve used them for various occasions. The lei arrives in a large box, ice pack and because it’s packed with care, the lei is amazing when it arrives.
It sounds expensive, but the orchids are never ruined and it’s simply perfect. Plus, it’s more special when I know my orchids are shipped from the motherland.

I am writing this review in regards to ordering a lei over the internet and having it shipped to Northern California.
I decided two days before I left for Southern California that I wanted to have a custom lei made for my sister’s graduation at Cal Poly. Realizing that I did not have enough time to find a local florist to create a lei, I googled «Hawaiian Leis» and The Hawaiian Lei Company was one of the first businesses to pop up. I browsed through their site and was very pleased with the selection and their shipping availability to California. I then checked a couple other google results, but was not impressed and decided to go with HLC. After selecting the type of lei that I wanted, I chose the Standard Overnight Shipping from FedEx so it would arrive at my office in CA no later than 3pm on Friday. The shipping cost was almost as much as the lei, but since I had waited until the last minute, it was to be expected. I placed my order with The Hawaiian Lei Company on Wednesday evening, around 8pm. I got a call the next morning about 10am (my time) from the company informing me that they were out of a certain type of flower, upgrading me to another at no extra charge – (this information was posted on their site as well, so it wasn’t a shock to me). I received notice from them via email that my lei had shipped with FedEx and that it would be arriving on Friday, before 3pm. Sure enough, FedEx showed up at my address at 2:30pm and I couldn’t wait to open the package. It was packed very nicely with padding and icepacks to keep it cold. The lei turned out very nice, although I was expecting it to be a little bit fuller, since I did order a «double». It was beautiful none the less… I put it in the fridge immediately after receiving it and once I got home I filled a large ice-​chest with three large bags of ice and placed the lei inside to keep cold while I made the 5 hour trip down south to San Luis Obispo. Amazingly, the lei kept its shape, none of the flowers wilted or turned brown (I tried to touch the flowers as least as possible throughout the entire time) and it was perfect for a Saturday graduation at 10am.
I know that leis are popular at graduations, and I had a feeling that everyone was going to have the typical purple orchid… I wanted something different, so that is why I went with The Hawaiian Lei Company. The Lei turned out fantastic, and lasted through the shipment to CA, plus another five hours south in an ice-​chest. I will definitely be ordering from them again for future graduations. Thank you!

I needed a lei for a friends birthday and my other plans fell through. So, the morning of the event I called several local lei companies and none of them got back to me as fast as The Hawaiian Lei Company.
Their website is easy to navigate and they have great pictures that explain what you’re getting.
I called at 1 pm and found that they closed at 4 pm. Knowing I could not make it down there in time, I asked if they offered delivery. They charge about $ 10 — $ 15, depending on where you need them deliveries — but it is well worth it.
I ordered the Maile Lei with a Twist of Kukunaokala and it smells amazing. The color is just as vibrant as in the picture and was delivered promptly. I tried to offer a tip, but she insisted I keep it because they had already charged a delivery fee. Though, most places it is customary to tip on top of delivery charge.
I could not be more pleased with my order and am so grateful that they were able to fill it on such short notice. I will certainly keep them in mind when I need leis in the future.
Because I ordered via phone, I paid via credit card — but you can also pay cash if you go in person.

This is a review for all those people that are iffy about ordering these online and having them shipped. At first, I was very wary about this because I was ordering fragile flowers and didn’t want wilted flowers for my wedding day. BUT to my surprise the flowers arrived fresh!

Quality– 5 stars I was very pleased with the flowers that came, none to my knowledge were wilted or brown.
Asthetic– 5 stars the flowers were beautiful I got a lot of compliments especially on my Cristina lei. It was gorgeous.
Customer Service– 5 stars– the people I worked with were very kind and knowledgable. They noted the flowers I wanted and made the boquet it was wonderful.
So all those people who are iffy about ordering. This place is very good. I wanted to write this review for those that aren’t in Hawaii and want to order these flowers. You will be pleased.
