Access it if you are a Hilton Honors Gold or Diamond member. Breakfast is fairly decent. Many breads available like bagels, muffins, and such. The main dish of the day is Scrambled Eggs with cheese. I was surprised that there were hot items since this is advertised as a «Continental Breakfast». But there is usually one side of meat available. So far I have seen sausage, and bacon. Additionally, there is either mini pancakes or waffles and hot syrup to top them. Fresh sliced fruit is also available and who could forget the oatmeal. There are many drink options: There is a coffee machine with various selections, fountain drinks, hot tea(make your own with hot water), pineabpple juice, OJ and water. I can’t complain since it is free … but. The afternoon reception is blah. Today they had Jalapeño poppers and pot stickers, no sauce. I wasn’t to fond of them, but hey, they may float your boat. You get free fountain drinks and coffee, too. Broke the bank by $ 0.00 … but had to work my butt off traveling to get to Diamond status.

This review is for the Executive Lounge at the Hilton Waikiki Beach aka Hilton Prince Kuhio in Honolulu. I’ve done quite a bit of travelling and have been to a number of hotel lounges, and I have to say I was a little disappointed in the Executive Lounge at this hotel. First off, its in the basement of the hotel, and the view is of people’s feet as they are walking down the street. Also, there is no attendant as you enter, just a sign-in sheet for the guests. Only certain guests of the hotel should have access to this lounge and I guess they go on the honor system. However, the hotel has a free«business center» advertised(the business center is two computers). It just so happens that the business center is connected to the lounge and any room key can access it. This basically means that any guest of this entire hotel has access to the lounge as well. On the joke-of-a-sign-in-sheet, it lists only exclusive members can access the lounge with up to 2 guests for free. Additional guests must pay $ 8 – 15 for access dependent on the time of day. But again… there is no attendant to actually accept any type of money. So… this place has a free breakfast and free afternoon snack. The breakfast is not too bad — assorted fruits, juices, coffees, teas, cereal, bread, scrambled eggs, french toast, waffles, portuguese sausage, and bacon. Snack hour had fried egg rolls, fried dumplings, carrot and celery sticks, siu mai, and wine/beer for $ 8(room charge only). I don’t know how word got out but apparently a lot of people in the hotel got wind of this«free» executive lounge and you guessed it… people came in hordes. There was barely any food and never any seats. Families would come 8 – 10 people at once. Some people didn’t even stay at the hotel! They waited at the door and would sneak in — then they would proceed to grab multiple plates of food, piled high, and go back to their room. This place wouldn’t be half bad if they cleaned it up a bit and actually had someone to monitor it. We sent a formal complaint to and they said they would look into it, so hopefully this is somewhere I can revisit and give you a better review.
