On a recent«Mom’s Day Off» I came here because I, 1. wanted a cocktail and 2. Wanted to overlook the water from where I sat, the Sheraton is a great spot for both of these things. On one side you have this place, The Edge with an infinity pool and the other side you have Rumfire, over looking Diamond Head. The Edge isn’t fancy, but the waitress was fabulous, my drink was delicious(I had the piña colada) and the burger was on point. I had a great view of the ocean while there was a catamaran taking people out on a tour. The breeze from the water made the weather perfect, my cold drink also helped. The people watching was fantastic, but I had a book so I didn’t do too much of that. I couldn’t eat all of my food because there was just SO much. I think if you’re already staying here, this is a great spot to fill up on food and drinks. I think if you’re a local and you want an affordable spot to treat yourself and appreciate this beautiful spot we call home, then come here to unwind and take a moment.

The Edge of Waikiki is a beach and pool side bar and restaurant serving tropical cocktails, beers, bar appetizers and entrees. A good option for a luxury hotel. My wife and I were staying at the Sheraton and dined here after I completed the marathon. It offered a sufficiently decadent indulgence as a post race reward while offering me the proximity for an ocean dip for my sore feet. They can use a few more umbrellas for UV protection. We had the veggie burger, calamari & shrimp basket and the poke with a beer and soda water. Good bar fare.

What a nice view and spot for drinks. Came here with a couple friends for drinks at night. Seated ourselves next to the water, listened to lovely live Hawaiian music, and sipped cool Mai Tais and Mojitos. The service was great too which is atypical for poolside bars. Yay.

View was amazing. Food was… Eh. Not a great beer selection, no NFL network, «Frings» were cold and the chicken wings had a battered crust. Lava Flow was decent and on special for $ 7.

I should never second guess myself on restaurant experience, generally you know within the first interaction when you sit at the bar how its going to roll. I sat down to a sticky spot and patiently waited for it to be cleaned. I ordered a glass of wine only for it to finally arrive in a dirty PLASTIC glass nearly 10 minutes later. It was bustling and the wait crew wedged in behind the bar seemed pretty stressed trying to keep up with it. Fantastic views but I should have hit my favorite HHV bar for a similar view AND a solid dining experience.

We stepped in out of the rain for a drink and the service was completely awful! The bar made my drink wrong, so the server brought it to me asking whether I wanted to «drink it anyway, or should I have them make another one?» I tried it l, didn’t like it(which is why I didn’t order it) and she gave me major attitude about asking for it done right. When she brought it she said, «ok here you go» with a very«I’m done with you» attitude. When we asked for another round she brought the bill, and with her whole body facing away from the table said«I’m going home, they can take care of you at the bar.» Short, curly brown hair. What a b-word. We left and she didn’t get a tip(from my mom who is a hopelessly generous tipper even with bad service.) very pretty but give somewhere else your business.

Food is ok. The location of this place makes it. Looking at Diamond Head while sipping on a beer is pretty much well worth giving it a go. But like the rest of this hotel, it is heavily overrated. Beer selection was pretty average too.

Want your life to be forever changed? Try the Royal Chicken Teriyaki Sandwich. By far the best Chicken Teriyaki sandwich I’ve discovered in the U.S., they use a secret aioli sauce with shredded chicken that has been marinating in teriyaki sauce on a Hawaiian roll — delicious!

When my friends came into town to visit, we went out on the Maita’i catamaran, which is right by the Sheraton. So we stopped here for dinner after, it was perfect. What a beautiful view of Diamond Head and the ocean. Staff was pretty nice, but the food was my favorite part. The Royal teriyaki chicken sandwich was SO delicious!!! everything from the shaved chicken, the sauce and the fresh veggies. I loved the«Fiesta ranch» served with the fries. The only thing we didn’t like was the wings, which had WAY too much ginger, it was too strong. Other than that, this is a great place to stop and grab a bite.

This is my favorite place to get a frozen blended drink. Normally I don’t care for piña colada’s but here they are just delicious! I’ve tried the lava flows at a few establish myself up and down the strip but here has them all beat hands down. If you’re looking for something with a little more kick try a strawberry daiquiri with a 151 floater ;) However, note these drinks are all very, very sweet! Location is amazing. People are always paying to go see sea turtles, but almost every time I have been here I sit at the ledge and see a turtle.

Why this place isn’t world famous is beyond me. The view is just jaw dropping spectacular. You’re out on the farthest point of Waikiki looking back at Diamond Head with an infinity pool before you and the sea. If Elvis stood up on the railing and started singing you wouldn’t bat an eye. It would just seem natural here. Go for happy hour and enjoy the sunset the way it was mean to be enjoyed. Love.

I’ll start off by saying that i hate giving reviews, I’m a bartender and I know you can catch a place at a less that ideal time, however this place was an exception. I came here with my brother to grab a drink by the ocean, the view is great and they have an infinity pool which is cool, but the bar was awful. It was sticky and rusted and smelled terrible, I know what tequila and juice smells like if you don’t clean it for several days. We were never greeted but our bartender, Wayne literally tossed menus down for us too look at, zero personality whatsoever. We decided on a margarita pitcher, 4 drinks for the price of 2, why not? I wasn’t expecting these drinks to be phenomenal, I know resort locations don’t use real fruit juice all the time, I can deal with sweet and sour. Unfortunately I watched as Wayne put 1″ of tequila into the pitcher(no ice) and then fill the rest with margarita mix, no lime juice, no triple sec, just two ingredients. I had one sip and I did something I never do, I sent it back, it was undrinkable… To his credit he did try and improve it by adding some lime juice but there was no reviving it. We then asked for two whiskeys on the rocks to be done with that. We were given them and both our cups were dirty… Great, we slammed them and left, we won’t be back, which is a shame that they would put something like this in such a great location.

Stopped in for a couple drinks before a boat ride. Was about a hour early and this outside bar was seconds away. Drinks were good and price was what I expected for the location. Only think that would have made the experience better was if we also had access to the pool.

A little pricey but it’s all about the location. Relax by the water and enjoy. The ahi poke salad is worth the expense. It’s lite and refreshing. The mahi mahi tacos where a good second. Grilled and lightly seasoned.

This is a bar. This is not a restaurant. That was my first mistake, and why I suppose my expectations were not met, at first. On a personal note, I very seldom write anything close to a negative review, so please know to take this as you will: I’m not a fan of this place. If all you’re looking for is a tourist trap, with touristy type drinks, and bar food, then this is a great place. Overpriced, but great. The view is great, but I wouldn’t recommend it if they won’t let you put the umbrellas up, and it’s the middle of the day. It is hot, and you’ll get a sunburn, unless you opt to sit directly at the bar. It’s near the infinity pool, and near the water, so it’s pretty. If that is what you are going for, then you’ll like it! If you want a mai tai or a lava flow, then, by all means, go. If you’re looking for a decent meal, I’d choose somewhere else. A friend and I went here recently on my birthday, and the waitress was quite rude to us as we arrived. That left a sour taste in my mouth, but we chose seats, and started looking through the menu. I was not impressed, and really didn’t want to eat there, but didn’t want to be a bother to my friend. LUCKILY, the wait staff never came to our table! After waiting a respectable amount of time, I just asked my friend if she minded if we left. Please keep in mind that, no, I did not eat the food, but I did experience the service, ambience, et cetera, and thought that it was notable enough to share. I most likely would go to other places nearby instead of this place, given a choice, but perhaps I’ll try again if a tourist friend wants to go.

Unilocal 365 Challenge 2015 #45/365 Rachel and I recently stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki, and we really wanted to go to the infinity pool. The first day we were there, the weather was terrible and very windy, but the second day we were there, it was a beautiful day, and we were able to enjoy it. The Edge of Waikiki literally looks like its name because of its infinity pool. Past the end of the pool is the ocean, and a beautiful view of the Waikiki shoreline, and a majestic look at Diamond Head. It truly is amazing. The pool area offers cabanas and chairs with umbrellas at the poolfront that you can rent, but there are also free chairs that you can sit on as well. In order to enjoy the pool, you have to be a guest at the hotel, because if you don’t have wristband, they’ll kick you out. In order to get towels and a wristband, you have to go to the station behind the chairs, have them swipe your room key, and then they’ll give you wristbands and a towel. Occasionally we saw a worker walking around the pool, making sure everyone had wristbands. While on the chairs by the pool, waiters and waitresses will come by and see if you want to order any food or drinks from the bar. The bar next door has a lot of outdoor seating, and maybe around 15 bar seats. There’s also a small bar area where you can sit right next to the pool. Surprisingly, the pool also allows guests to have their drinks inside the pool. First time I’ve ever seen that! The prices for drinks are pretty high, as expected, being that it’s in Waikiki. Their cocktails are all $ 11, and their draft beers range from $ 5.50-$ 7. Rachel ordered a Pina Colada, and I ordered a Kona Longboard($ 6.50). The Pina Colada was pretty strong, and well made, but definitely not worth $ 11. The Longboard was good too, but also not worth its price. The bar also has four TV’s that you can watch, but they’re only fully in view if you’re sitting at the bar. Good service, but a little pricey. If you’re staying at the hotel, it’s convenient, but if not — find another bar in town.

Came here with the husband to watch some football and lounge at the infinite pool. Drinks aren’t too shabby. I ordered the chi chi, which is delicious and beautiful to look at but it’s a bit sweeter than I like. My husband got the Kirin and they add a frozen froth on top that keeps the Kirin colder for 30 – 45 min longer. I’d highly recommend the Kirin if you’re looking for a nice cold beer. They have TVs surrounding the interior of the bar and the bartenders are really nice about which game you’d like to watch. The food is your typical bar food – good but dangerously greasy. A bit too greasy for my liking. the scenery here is what makes this place amazing. Without the scenery I probably wouldn’t come back. Bottom line: order the Kirin or chi chi(coconut/vodka smoothie). Food is okay but not amazing. The view is to die for. They have happy hour for drink 1000 – 1200. They play live music at 1pmish.

We came in for lunch and happened to make their morning happy hour. $ 3.50 draft beers right on the edge of the Infiniti Pool, with views of Diamond Head and the Pacific in the background. What a way to solitary Thanksgiving! I ordered the Ahi Poke. It was a generous portion for the $ 18 and I was surprised at the quality for poolside, hotel food. My partner got the hot dog. A funny choice but he was craving one. For $ 9 it came with onions and jalapeños and was larger than a regular hot dog. Definitely a fun spot to enjoy the sun!

I’ve had several piña coladas along the Waikiki beachfront(Mona surf rider, etc) and this is the best one around. They also serve you in the infinity pool next to them. The service has been fantastic every time. Keki is awesome. They had live music Sunday night. I think they have some sort of performance every night. A small/humble yet really amazing talent. They have daily drink specials before 12pm that I did not know about until my last day :( (I’m working on my second piña colada as I write this) :)

I don’t usually like these touristy traps, but I was looking for some American food along the waikiki strip and I definitely did not want to stand in the Cheesecake Factory line. This place had good Unilocal reviews and because it was such a beautiful day in hawaii nei, the view of the ocean and diamond head would be a nice change of pace. The food was expensive and there’s not much variety. $ 16 before tax and tip for a burger and fries sounds ridiculous, but the view definitely made up for it, we even saw a turtle hanging out in the water really close to the waters edge. The layout of this little pool bar/restaurant reminded me of the infinity pool in singapore, but like 20x less impressive. There’s a little counter between the pool and the restaurant area, so you can eat while in the pool or eat standing on the other side of the pool, kinda cool. If you don’t mind the birds and mediocre service and food, this is a nice place to enjoy the view. There are various other places like this long waikiki breach, I mean rum fire is open for lunch in he sherTon property too, and they might even have a better view, if not better ambiance.
