History
Established in 2014.
Executive Chef and Owner Roger Meier began his career at the Michelin starred restaurant The Village Pub in Woodside, CA. His career path took him to Spruce, in San Francisco, The Ritz Carlton in Halfmoon Bay and eventually to the Honolulu Coffee Co. Where he presided over the pastry kitchen for nearly three years before striking out in November 2013 to bring this vision to the forefront: Freshly prepared, healthy and wholesome grab-and-go style food for the busy downtown crowd and offices where lunch time is limited.

Business Owner
Chef Roger Meier arrived in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2010 via San francisco where his career started in the Michelin starred restaurants, The Village Pub in Woodside CA, Spruce in San Francisco and Travese in Palo Alto. He spent time at The Ritz Carlton half Moon Bay, all the while following his mentor chef, William Werner. Chef Roger then moved onvto the Franco American Restaurant Group servicing SF restaurants B44, Garçon, Plouf, Café Bastille and patisserie BonBon. In 2009 Chef Roger was tapped as the Executive Pastry Chef. Chef Roger took his talents to the Honolulu Coffee Company in 2011where he led the kitchen for 3 years elevating the offerings of the local coffee company. He now leads a talented team at The Baker & Butcher that prepares fresh daily, made from scratch, gourmet sandwiches, entrees and baked goods. The Baker & Butcher is downtown Honolulu’s premier spot for the highest quality gourmet grab & go style lunch and artisan French and American style pastries.
