These people could not be any nicer. I’ve had two pieces framed by them. There was an issue with one of them and they resolved it at their expense without hesitation. Unlike a typical frame shop, these people know their stuff and made great recommendations. I wish I had more art to frame!

I just picked up my husband’s basketball jersey and medal that I wanted framed for his gift. I was extremely happy with the way it turned out. The girl who helped me was so patient and knowledgeable, she was outstanding. I wish I could remember her name, Rady? Anyway, the other well known competition PP, quoted me double the price plus the guy there was rude and condenscending. I’m glad I found The Art Board on Unilocal,definitely going back.

This place does excellent work and is extremely accommodating. Orady managed to complete a project for my daughter’s preschool fundraiser in practically less than a day (with almost no notice on my part-​so sorry again!) She worked within our budget as well. Couldn’t ask for more.

Several years ago while we were clearing out our family home after my father’s passing, we found a piece of original wood etched artwork that was given to my parents on their 60^th Wedding Anniversary. I had always admired it and was lucky that none of my siblings claimed it. It had hung in the same spot in my family home for years but Hawaii’s humidity and heat had ravaged the frame and mat. Being that the art is on wood, we had it termite treated and removed the original frame because it seemed to have «disintegrated». The Art Board immediately came to mind to work the «magic» back into displaying this piece.
So, off we went to see Mr. Eguchi who holds The Art Board’s titles of CEO & janitor and Sensitive Framer. He greeted us upon entry and asked us to wait a few minutes as he was assisting another customer by carrying out her framed projects. He returned to examine our piece and asked us if we had any preferences of mount, color and style of frame. At the same time, he started reaching up on his wall of frame samples. Several different woods, colors and mount depths were shown to us. He quoted us prices for each sample. After which, we made our selection, put a down payment and were given an estimated 10-​day time frame or sooner if we were in a hurry. Unfortunately, he called us back a couple of days later because the selection that we made was temporarily out of stock. We had the choices of either waiting for product to arrive or choose another.
Days later, we received a call to pick up our art work… it was restored to its original beauty and the new frame is truly an enhancement. Mr. Eguchi is a true professional who offers great service and value. The Art Board has been our custom framing professional choice over the past 20 years.

I needed to get two Mats cut for an exhibition I wanted to enter the next day. This shop was so gracious and helped me– very efficiently and professionally. I was completely impressed with the quality of their work for the price. Framing in never cheap. Quality work costs$$ but this shop does good work and they were super fast too! They take great pride in their work.

WOWZA! What an incredible shop! I came in with a framing emergency on a tight deadline — not only did they put me at ease, but they came in way under budget and the work was INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL! The whole office was so impressed! I’m never going anywhere else!
The presentation was amazing! We were so proud to give such a incredible piece to the command staff of Tripler Army Medical Center! Additionally, they loved it!

The Art Board framed and repaired several pieces belonging to my mother-​in-​law, some of which were at least 100 years old.
We were very pleased with the outcome of all 3 pieces, particularly a portrait which was damaged due to age and neglect.
We would highly recommend them and feel confident in securing their services again.

Not having anything custom framed before naturally i turn to Unilocal for advise. The ArtBoard received so many high marks i decided to give them a try. I’m totally glad that i did. From the moment i walked in the door till i came back to pick up my painting the professionalism, knowledge, honesty and ALOHA shown by all at the ArtBoard was second to none. Way to go! Special thanx to Rhody (Rose)for taking the extra time to explain and find the perfect pieces to make my painting complete. Completely Awesome that is!!!

I’ve had 3 prints framed now, and each time, Eguchi-​San or his daughter selected the perfect frame for me very quickly. Orders were completed in a timely fashion.
These people are experts and take great pride in their work.
Parking is a breeze right in front of the shop.
Mr. Eguchi is a really interesting guy, if you have a chance to talk to him. He is an artist in his own right, a leader in the arts community, and very active in promoting intercultural exchange and services for the eldery.

Bummed I didn’t find this place years ago. I wanted to get 2 pictures re-​matted, using the same frames. I was quoted $ 250 per picture by the other guys. Then I noticed The Art Board sticker on the back of my originals. We must’ve taken it there over 30 years ago to be framed originally, but didn’t know they were still in business. Googled them and found them. Talked with the super nice Japanese man who gave me great advice on the mat color and really took his time to help me. Then, he quoted me $ 150 per picture. What? Really? Of course I left the pictures with him and I just picked them up. They are beautiful and his mat color suggestion was perfect!
The Art Board was the perfect choice since I was re-​matting not pictures, but pieces of silk cloth from Japan, and they had to be sewn on to the backing. He even knew the pictures on the silk represented the seasons — summer and spring to be exact. The Art Board did such quality work at such a reasonable price that I would never consider anywhere else for my framing needs!

All I could think of after I brought my first framed picture home from The Art Board was, «Man, I wish I found this place before I ever went to Pictures Plus!» Well, that and what an excellent, quality job they did and for about a third of what I paid previously (at that other place). I would rather not base a review off the negative experiences from a competing business, but let’s be honest; PP is the first place you probably think of when you need something framed, right? I know I did. And after a couple of times where I had to take work back to PP to have it redone (once when the spacer was showing, another when the corners of the metal frame were sharp and uneven), having paid upwards of $ 500 for a single 20“x30″ work, I decided that there just had to be a better place. Thanks to Unilocal,that place has been found! The owner is really nice and took the time to go over all my options with me. He even warned me a couple times, «oh, that would be more expensive.» I appreciate the honesty of a business owner who actually looks out for the best interest of his customers, rather than how much he can make off you. While I’ve only had one print framed by The ArtBoard, I will definitely return if I ever need something framed again.

Simply awesome. I bought my frame from pictures plus and I had the artboard do the framing work, If pictures plus had done the work, it would’ve taken 2 – 3 weeks. The artboard completed the work 2 in just days, at almost half the cost! If I ever need framing work done again, I will be back!

They do excellent work on framing — very conscientious, easy to work with, and careful.
