4 stars because of the parking situation it’s in China Town. parking sucks. but the bubble tea and smoothies are AMAZING! been her a few times already and always happy with my drink. tried the green tea with bubbles, taro with bubbles and chocolate with bubbles. so ono! I stop here whenever I’m in the area. gotta get my boba fix! btw, the smooties are made with real fruit. you can watch them make it. the fruit is in the case in the front. maybe i’ll try a fruity one next time.

One of my favorite places to get boba! For a few major reasons that I consider highly: made with fresh fruit, 4 $, size is large, quality soft boba, and supporting a local business. I will definitely be coming back here! They specialize in smoothies with pearls, so if you’re a tea only person, maybe check another place out! Their most popular flavors are Mango with pearls and Avocado with pearls. The shop is inside a marketplace in Chinatown so you will pay at a parking meter and walk inside. There is plenty of shops around to see. You have to try this place!

The very best bubble tea I’ve had. No it’s not really tea. It’s a fruit smooth. They for have tea flavor. If you are in Chinatown this is the place to go. It’s a family run business that the food is really good.

I had a little trouble finding this place at first since I’m not to familiar with the area, but I’m so glad I did! I was shocked to see the size of the drink they give you and also for a very reasonable price of $ 3.50. I love bubble drinks and this one is probably my favorite I’ve tried. They blend it so well that the smoothie part is very smooth(no chunks of ice!). I ordered the mango with pearls, and I can’t wait to go back and try their other flavors!

Cash only. It is a small store inside of the market. People made their order and hang out in the picnic area. I like the custom bubble tea they make. Coconut and taro. $ 4.5. Two very native and flavorful fruit. The drink is smooth with very little ice. 5* Wikikii can use one. Opps, it is actually their competitor next door did the custom drink.

This Chinatown haunt serves up a great bubble boba drink variety. They are quick and clean using fresh ingredients. They give you cute wooden numbers for your order., the open air court is a nice way to sip your way to the tiny piece of Chinatown heaven. If you are a tourist take time to explore Chinatown and don’t be intimidated by it’s not so shiny exterior. See some real Honolulu.

After seeing pictures of auntie Nadine’s watermelon smoothie, I knew I had to try it for myself. It’s no fancy shop, but more of a hole in the wall juicery. I located it inside the maunakea marketplace where I saw a red sign OPEN. Thank you fellow Unilocalers and their pictures. There was plenty of smoothie shops outside that confused me on whether this was the right one or not. I was pleased that there was no wait at all. I ordered a strawberry with pearls drink. Within a matter of minutes a young lady handed me my beverage. Holy moly. It was huuuuuuge. It was at least 32oz. $ 3.50 was my tab. Was I dreaming? Was this for real? This price does not exist where I go to get smoothies. I pray that they don’t hike up their prices. Lol The strawberry was very good. It was cold, sweet and plentiful. I slurped it up so fast I ended up with a little brain freeze. This is what happens due to excitement. In my opinion, I felt there was too many pearls in my drink. I enjoyed some, but then I rather drink then eat at that time. It brought me great joy due to the freshness of strawberries that was used to compose my smoothie. I’ll be back to try their pineapple and mango. This time no pearl.;)

This is my *happy-dance happy* fresh fruit boba place. When I’m in the area, you just *don’t know* how hard it is for me to make an automatic beeline straight there because Yep: Fresh fruit boba is my crack. Hehe :D This is the sister store, or shall I say the son store, of my most fav bubble drink place called, «Thang’s French Coffee & Bubble Tea,» that’s located in Kalihi on Kalani Street. Difference btwn this one and the Kalihi shop is that owner of this shop is the son of the ultra-nice and cool owner, Thang, of the aforementioned Kalihi store! How cool! :) That said, you know that this store has likely got to be another delicious, real, fresh fruit deal! Alright! I am so happy and thrilled that it’s smack dab in the center of Chinatown along Maunakea Street! Why happy? Each time I’ve been there recently to try various notoriously delicious restaurant/food places here in Chinatown(Maguro Brothers & Phở To-Chau.so far!), I’ve come here to partake in one of these cold, delicious, not too icy, totally fruity bubble drinks! Tastes just like the same product! Except! I swear that the cups are just a wee bit larger! Yahoo! :D Plus, the prices are equally as terrific as the Kalihi version and a little bit cheaper(50¢ less which comes to $ 3.50 or $ 3 depending which drink choice) which actually makes up for some of the parking fee, that is, unless you find free street parking and/or consolidate your Chinatown visit to keep it brief or won’t stay in Chinatown for very long. I knew this store was somewhere there in Chinatown but little did I know where it was. Kudos to my Unilocaly friend, Nadine C. who knows well my love for the Kalihi Thang’s Papaya bubble drink smoothie(you’re the best, Nadine C.!!) that one day after trying out the freshest-fish at the Maguro Brother’s shop across the street with Angel H., we walked across the street to try me a papaya boba smoothie! From Maguro Brothers(in the Kekaulike Market), the pair led me across Hotel Street in the mountain direction straight into the Maunakea Market(on the other side of Hotel Street) that leads(turn right when inside and walk toward Maunakea Street) into an open-air seating area that has not just one, but two different bubble drink places(along with a bunch of other small, very hole in the side of the bldg businesses). This location has all of the same drinks that Thang’s Kalihi has and guess what my favorite will be?! Papaya! Papaya! Papaya! :D (You would have known the answer had you read my review for the Kalihi shop! Haha!) I just can’t seem to get away from papaya but really when I’ve got a good taste thing going on there, why would I wanna try anything else, yeah?! Lol Well, now that I’ve had a few papaya drinks here, I will definitely have to try their other flavors at this location too: FRESHFRUIT watermelon, honeydew melon, mango, taro, .and bunch of many others! You’re bound to find a fav, too! So today I can say that I’m proud of myself for trying something different: I tried blueberry with boba and really liked it! If you’re in the area, be sure to grab a pick-me-up from this vendor! ORDERTHENDON’T BLINK! After placing then immediately paying for your order at the counter, you will receive a small, thick, wooden card with a number on it. Be sure to be on the look out(listen closely!) for your drink bc the numbers called are never in order! That’s just so genius, right?! That’s a smart bubble drink business! Everyone is forced to pay attention and won’t forget to pick up their drink! But then again, how could you forget?! Not I! Hehehe :D So if you’re in the area and you happen to post a Unilocaly pic or I see your check in, just know that it makes me think very fondly of my very beloved fresh papaya boba. Also just know should that happen, that I’m wistfully wishing you good tidings: May you happily enjoy whatever flavor you decided to sip, chew, or chug! Cheers from this fresh fruit boba addict!((Hugs))

The price is not expensive for the size of the smoothie you get. I ordered a soursop smoothie and an avocado. It was’t terrible but it wasn’t great enough for me to want to come back. I would much prefer they give me a smaller size, charge more for what it’s worth, and use fresh ingredients.

While I was roaming in Chinatown of Honolulu, I noticed a couple grabbing a tray full of fruit smoothies from a small little stand so I automatically waited in line to grab one of their awesome drinks. Pros Thai Tea Smoothie: Good blend of thai tea, sweetened milk, and ice for a humid sticky day. Prices: For only $ 3, I received a large sized cup where they even filled it up to the cap. The other specialty fruit smoothies such as the durian was reasonably priced as well.

The bubble drinks here are huge and so delicious! My black tea with pearls was blended and the pearls were the perfect texture and taste. I liked that they used real watermelon chunks in my friend’s drink. $ 6.50 for our drinks. What a deal!

This was my go to bubble drink place before their sister company popped up in kalihi. I guess new management had taken over and it’s no longer name Thangs. But it’s still the same concept and décor is identical to the one in Kalihi. I remember I would literally just drive to Chinatown just to get get some boba. It’s the perfect drink on a hot summer’s day! I love that they use fresh fruits and there’s a wide variety that you can choose from and even do combinations at no extra charge. It ranges from $ 3.50 to $ 4 depending on your choice of flavor and the cup is huge! It’s like comparable to a venti size at starbucks. One of the best smoothies you can find and they’re generous on the tapioca balls as well. It can get busy here at this stand but you know it must be good if people are waiting in line for them. So definitely a must try! Go go go! You won’t regret it. P. S. Going anywhere in chinatown, parking will suck but you gotta deal with it to get the cheap good stuff. ;P

Whenever I’m in Chinatown, I always find myself at this place. They are always busy. The wait is around 20 minutes every time that I’m here. Their prices are reasonable and tastes better(the smoothie part) than most boba places that I’ve been to. I always get the blended milk tea with boba or the blended lychee with boba. The hubby gets the blended pineapple and orange with boba. I knocked off a star for the boba balls. They’re too soft for my liking. There’s not that chew to it that I like. Stop overcooking the tapioca balls.

Totally forgot to make a review for this place even though I’ve been going here for years. The bubble tea is pretty good and made with real fruit. It taste amazing. I usually go for the banana, Thai, mocha, and chocolate(though their chocolate uses a powder it taste just as good). The only few flavors that some people may not enjoy is durian and taro since these aren’t found commonly in the mainland. Note: it may get busy around noon so, expect a wait.

I LOVELOVE this smoothie stand! The most random thing is to find Vietnamese selling awesome smoothies in Hawaii. Gotta support my people! Location(5⁄5): Their shop locates inside the Maunakea Market Place. When you walk in the middle section, you will see two large smoothie stands. These guys are the one of the left side with more choices of smoothies. Services(5⁄5): Solid 5! Fast and friendly! That’s all I’m going to describe about these guys. Drinks(5⁄5): They have all types of Asian exotic fruit smoothies(or some people called them special Hawaiian fruit smoothies). Their smoothies condense with natural flavor and not water-down. Each drink varies from $ 3.50 to $ 4 depending on the fruits. They only have one side which is as huge as a Starbuck venti size! I recommend order one smoothie for two people if you don’t like fruit. They also have the option to add tapioca pearls, if you want some chewiness going on. In short, this is a MUSTTRY if you visit the Maunakea Market Place!

I got the Durian smoothie with boba($ 4.50). The drink was HUGEEE. For some odd reason, my family did not appreciate the drink as much as I did. Something about my breath being able to kill the entire population of a small country…

Deep in the pits of Hawaii’s oh-so clean and friendly Chinatown, this bubble-tea treasure exists! I was having lunch with my bf at Saigon Vietnamese restaurant(which is great and will be my next review) and ended up walking through Maunakea marketplace because he wanted some«exotic» eats. Eeek. After my nose braved it through the marketplace he tells me about this bubble-tea place. Couple turns around some corridors and we found it. I’ve never seen such cheap bubble-tea drinks! They have about 20 or so flavors to choose from. Seems like now days they go $ 6 a pop and way to much customization. I view the menu and though I’m more of a coffee drinker I decide to get taro; such a palatable and simple flavor… and how much? $ 3.50…say whaaaa?! Though the wait was a little longer than usual it was worth it. I was expecting a small drink to come out but this buggah was«venti» sized :) 4⁄5 for me, just because of the location, but the taste, size and price I’ll definetly be back again.

I think this might be the sister shop(or even the original?) of Thanh 2. If not, their choice of plastic floral ceiling decorations is oddly identical. Either way, the smoothies with pearls that they make are delicious and made with fresh fruit. And why wouldn’t they be considering that they are surrounded by all of the fresh produce markets in chinatown. Needing a drink to go along with the dim sum I just bought, I grabbed a peach/banana smoothie with pearls. I didn’t like it as much as the usual mango/lychee version I usually get, but it was good nonetheless. Overall, Thanh is a great place to grab a cold drink while you’re shopping around in Chinatown and ‘I’m a fan’.

Always refreshing and always highly anticipated. Thanh’s always has a hugh selection of smoothies, boba drinks, and great people watching while waiting for your frozen treat. Hey, all these are«fresh fruit» smoothies?!? And because this place is set in off the main road, it prices at half the cost of «brand x» outside on Maunakea St. Luv to watch and guess, depending on the customer what is going to be ordered. Group of tourists? …ohh strawberry smoothies all around, except the one adventurous one who wants a strawberry banana? That local Polynesian couple over there… both taro smoothies: with boba for her… and nope, even tho these are eye popping huuuge, they ain’t gonna share… each getting their own! Me… even tho I love all fruit(ok, except for that nasty durian… there’s a reason why this«fruit» is banned in most establishments. Buwahaha) I seem to always be in the mood for a kewl, refreshing, delicately sweet avocado smoothie. And, if you were here I would get it in two cups and share, cause, sharing is caring… especially on a hot sunny summer day! :)

After seeing Jeffrey A.‘s pic of this establishment that is now under NEW management and name, I just had to stop by after running some errands in Chinatown this morning. It was sure muggy and if you ask me, what a great place to stop by here to cool down with a drink! Previously under THANG French Coffee and Bubble Tea, this place is now THANH French Coffee and Bubble Tea. In my observation earlier today, it’s pretty much the same thing — — the menu, pictures, drinks and staff, who still greet you with a smile upon ordering. Luckily it was raining when I arrived so there was no line at all. I had the taro bubble drink with NO pearls($ 3) and it was made instantly. In about 2 minutes I got my full cup of yummy taro drink! Behind me was a Caucasian couple visiting from out-of-town and they had just ordered iced French — Vietnamese coffee and the wife commented on how pretty my drink was. I told her it’s taro and she seemed a little puzzled so I started to explain what my drink is — — something like drinking a mild and somewhat sweet and very pleasant POI! It got her attention so I offered her a sip and she LOVED it! The next thing I know her husband seem intrigued so I also had him try and also received thumbs up. This place has been here for many years now and very SOLID when delivering cold drinks and snacks. When it’s busy, especially on the weekends, the lines are long and they give you a number after ordering and paying for your drink. If you’re ever in Chinatown and want to cool off this is the place to come peeps — — delicious drinks at reasonable prices with great service. NOTE: Cash only
