Thai-Issan Therapeutic Massage

This is an unbelievably unprofessional place of business. It quite unsanitary looking as well. Would definitely not reccommend.

Appalled that they would say it’s «merely a blood vessel protruding». Here’s a photo taken today– the scratch as i stated earlier has niw scabbed over.

This review is based on my massage experience. Me and my boyfriend came here on a Saturday night. I called and booked an appointment same day, a couple of hours before my appointment. They were very accommodating, and I was very happy that they stayed open late and couple take us in for a couples massage on such late notice. Can’t forget to mention I’m 6 ½ months preggo, so I was ecstatic! (Yay 1 star earned for that!)
I do admit we came a little late, we had trouble with parking and didn’t know that the massage place was upstairs not downstairs. When we arrived the man at the desk was nice, we prepaid and got shown to our rooms. Also no tax if you pay in cash. The massage specialists came in and were nice and greeted us. (Another star for being nice and no tax)
Here’s why they only rate 2 stars in my opinion. I wasn’t happy and wasn’t satisfied with my massage. I literally paid $ 70 (with tip) for someone to rub oils on my back. I needed a massage because I was in pain. But the massage didn’t help at all. I kept asking my lady to put more pressure but she didn’t understand me, but the lady massaging my boyfriend spoke better English and I saw her mouthing to her to go harder. Which she did for a little then went back to having little to no pressure. I was so disappointed at the end I literally cried on the way home because I wasted money and I was still in pain. (Pregnancy hormones, idk) I don’t know if she was just going easy on me being afraid to hurt me being pregnant or what. But I asked for more pressure and I didn’t get it.
As for my boyfriend he said he had a good massage, we didn’t go there for him though. He didn’t have any problem areas was just along for the ride because I needed a massage.
That being said, this place gets a 2 star rating from me.

BEST MASSAGE IVE EVER HAD. Came to this place because of the commercial. My husband is always complaining that his massages aren’t hard enough, mine are always too hard. This place mixes up a little, but enough, of all different styles. Within the hour we had pressure point, body manipulation, hot stone and some tugging and pulling that felt amazing. We made our next appointment for a week from today.

AMAZING! My first ever Thai deep tissue massage. My friend kept telling me to try this place and I never did until today. I had this pain in my right shoulder for 3 weeks. Went to my doctor and she said I need a good massage. I called Thai-​Issan and booked an appointment.
I had a morning appointment so it was very quite when I walked in. The guy greeted me, ask me how I want to pay… I paid cash. He then told me to put my shoes up and follow him. He asked if I’ve been here before I said no. He told me what to do and left. Three minutes later my masseuse walked in.
Emon was Awesome!!! I told her about my problem and then she did her magic. She really got the kinks out of my shoulder/​legs. A few times she would remind me to relax I love hard massage and the pain that you feel… it’s the good kine of pain.
I got home very excited about this new experience and told my family and also recommended they get one. I have a new addiction. I’m definitely going back. Money well spent!

Haven’t had a massage this good that didn’t cost a small fortune since I was in Manila. I was a little scared after having a slightly difficult time understanding the girl on the phone I made my appointment with. A lot of umms and pauses of silence but thank goodness everything turned out great.
The place seemed nice and clean, decorated in the Thai theme. The «rooms» to the left are partitioned with curtains so you hear everything. I mean every person who walks in, the masseuses when they greet customers including a guy across from me who at times I couldn’t tell if he was in pain or pleasure.
However the massage was amazing! I had the combination. I told her my feet were tired from work so she did some reflexology work after the hot stones (hot stones included in every service yay!!). Loved the bits of stretching here and there too. My girl was very sweet and professional, will be back and requesting her again.
FYI it’s located in the storefronts by raging crab and sik do rak so parking is validated and can be crowded at busy hours.

My husband wanted to try a Thai massage. Googled it and found Thai-​Issan massage. There were other places but we decided to come here as they also offer foot massages.
Called to make an appointment on Friday afternoon. We were able to book a 90 minute combo massage for him and a 60 minute foot massage for me for that same night.
Walking into Thai-​Issan it was very quiet, clean and had a relaxing vibe. We were greeted upon entering. I liked the atmosphere and décor. Prepaid for our massages and was shown to our room. There were two massage tables but no chair for me to sit in. Was not sure how my foot massage would be conducted on a massage table. Usually when I am receiving a foot massage it is sitting down with a foot soak first.
My masseuse used a hot towel first and then proceeded with the massage. The massage was Excellent! I love hard massages. She was able to really get the kinks out of my legs and feet. We went a little over because she also gave me a shoulder massage and cracked my back.
The combo (Thai and deep tissue) massage my husband had was great. He is 6’0 and a pretty built guy so I was not sure how it would be for him. This was his first professional massage and he loved it. His masseuse was a petite lady but she was able to crack his back and unknot his muscles.
We will definitely be back again. It was well worth it.

Can it get any better? I woke up with a major kink in my neck and knew that I needed a massage. But, it was a sunny Sunday in the summer, who could take me on such short notice? Thai-​Issan did!
My boyfriend and I went in for a couple’s massage 2 hours later and had a combination massage by (enter therapists’ name here/​will get names and update). The massage was a «1-​hour» but went a little over. My therapist knew about my sore neck and shoulder and put a lot of time and care into it.
I will definitely be back! The parking is a little tight but Thai-​Issan validates and there’s food galore in the area. The atmosphere is so serene and relaxing in such a hectic part of town, you sort of forget where you are. The person who checked us in, Brandon, was polite and patient as we checked in. I’ve also dealt with Christine who always displays exemplary customer service.

This place has upped the professionalism and now has two locations. They’re also opening up a school, which means there will likely be discounted rates for student massages.
Their newest team of therapists is on point and includes several men that are experts. I don’t say that lightly. These guys know what they are doing and are great with firm pressure, something that is sometimes hard to find! Definitely check this place out if you haven’t yet.

I consider myself a massage lover. With that being said, I’ve been to Thailand twice and am addicted to the stretching and pressure Thai massage offers. Today, I got a message from Jen (Jennifer) who gave me a Thai combination. Not only was her massage etiquette on-​point but she is so sweet and strong. She’s Thai and really knows her stuff. I’ve got super tight hamstrings and lower back and after she treated me, I feel so free of pain and a great range of motion. I love Thai massage because of the use of masseuse’s feet and arms. Jen stretched me and positioned my body with care in order to reach those deep points. Needless to say, I’m super impressed… like write my 2^nd Unilocal review impressed.

Body massage is where it’s at! The body massage is awesome. They stretch you out like you’ve never been stretched. Hot stones offer awesome relaxation. All around a great solid massage. They can do hard massages. I usually get the combination massage.

This place seriously used to be my go to spot whenever I’m overly stressed or worn out. I’ve gone to just about every girl, and all of them were beyond amazing!
However, upon my arrival yesterday, I couldn’t help but wonder if they had changed ownership or just hired new employees. Usually I’m greeted very quietly and what you could say «soothe sounding» but yesterday this local woman who I’ve never seen before worked the front desk. No uniform and spoke kind of loud. But whatever’s, she was really nice.
Anyways onto my massage. For the first time I got a male masseur, one I’ve never seen working there before. I was weirded out at first but I was okay to give him a shot. HORRIBLE. Sorry. I’ve gotten so many massages here I pretty much know the routine that the girls do. Outside blanket massage, inside blanket massage, flip, massage again, hot stones, then stretch. I’m pretty OCD, so I know. His massage was all kinds of out of order. Pretty much, unbalanced. He’d do something on one side of my body, then forget to do it to the other. Seems like he had no idea of what he was doing. He also mainly worked on my upper body, I don’t know if it’s because I’m a woman he didn’t wanna touch my legs too much but my back was getting so raw from him only concentrating there I felt like I was getting Indian burns! I love VERY STRONG massages but this one was TOO ROUGH! What made it even more annoying was that he was very loud with his movements. Running oil into his hands then clapping, slamming the heater door when grabbing towels and hot stones, walking across the room, stomping. Sorry but this massage was not relaxing at all.
After yesterday I don’t think I will be returning. It just didn’t feel the same in there, like it used to. Sucks!

11÷4÷15− the girl answering the phone is horrible. She could not recommend someone, so now I cannot get a massage — isn’t that her job?! Grrrr! I knew that my regular person Pat was off and asked for my second favorite Ari. She was also off, so I asked for a referral. She said that she can’t because they are too different. I told her they both give a very deep massage and that is what I like. She still could not make me an appointment. Yuck.
Original Post: Amazing experience! I was referred to Ari. I was a little turned off when she arrived about 15 minutes late for the appointment, but she soon made up for it. I guess it makes a difference who you get. I have two different recommendations for this place.
This little petite gal beat me up good– haha. She kneaded and stretched my body and even did amazing techniques while walking on my back.
I paid $ 90cash for a 90-​min combination massage. Worth every cent! It’s not a fancy place, but the setup works fine.
Guess where my new favorite place is?

Went for the first time last Saturday. It was my first Thai massage and I think I’ll become a regular! I’ve been to many high end massage places that sometimes charge $ 180 for 60 minutes! This was Way better!
Pros: they open late and can take same day appointments!
–prices are reasonable!
–their combination massage is awesome using various techniques
— I told Pat where I was sore and she really worked on my lower back
–I liked that they wiped me down with hot towels so that I didn’t need to leave there oily.
–I really liked the stretching techniques, left there feeling awesome!

I come here at least every 3 weeks for a full body massage. $ 60 for an hour $ 90 for hour half if you pay cash if not add an additional 5 bucks to put it on your card. You can walk in but it’s best to make an appointment as they always seem busy. I have had a few different therapist do my massage and they are all very good. They are located in the Sam Sung plaza and they validate parking so it’s super convenient. If you want a foot massage they have allocation on the first floor if you want a full body massage the upstairs location has more rooms.
They also have showers if you want to come after work or if you would like to shower after your massage. The rooms are clean and the surroundings calm and quite. I highly recommend thai issan and I always bring guests here when in town.

Very pleased. I was a little nervous when there was a door bell on the second floor entrance. I usually associate those with with less than reputable establishments. Not the case here. I have major rotator cuff issues exasperated by overly tense muscles pulling the joint out of place. Therapist was able to stretch/​massage the muscles to just before the point of being unbearably painful. I needed the muscles massaged as hard as possible and that is what I got. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Will be back.

I was introduced to this place earlier this year and have been coming ever since. Prior, I would get massages at Laka Spa, but due to my increasing muscle tension and lack of funds to afford the luxury of Laka, I started coming here.

I love all their techniques — they will pull, push, squeeze and hammer out every ache in your body. I really feel that they put everything they’ve got into your massage. Every time I’ve gone, the therapists have been caring and attentive to my needs and concerns.
Finish your massage with some warm tea, or a shower if you need.
I can’t wait for my next session.

I called and got a 60 min massage. The girl was from Thailand so it was pretty good and exactly what a thai massage should be. I felt much better after and I highly recommend it.
It’s on the 2^nd floor of the samsung plaza, just walk up the stairs under the crab place and you will find it. You pay first then go into the room and wait for your therapist.

$ 50 for 1 hour foot massage add$ 10 for 10 min neck massage. Bring cash=no tax! I never had a bad experience here! Everyone is good. I’m sad Mook and Noi left. They were the best. I’ll have to test everyone out and see who can compare.
Mook is back and ver busy. I like Diane now.
Foot massage is now $ 65 but $ 60 if u pay cash.
