Now that it’s a New year my employer changed dental so here I was calling around to see who has the first available time and reading reviews online… For 3 days before I was on painkillers bc of my tooth my New Years started at the ER… here is my experience
1. She’s super close to where I live 2. Read two reviews one on here (by the way the guy was with her for like 11 years. even though he wrote something negative.11 years is a long time and actions speak louder than words) and 1 OK one on another site 3. She had avalibliity (thank God)
So being that I HATE HATE HATE going to the dentist I was dreading going in there. walked in and her receptionist was soo very nice took my information. And bam I was ready to be seen. talk about fast… Once I got in a lady asked me what the issues were told her my story abut going to the ER… anyways long story short found out I needed to get a tooth pulled… OOOOUUUUCCCHHH… again I hate going to the dentist. I was sweating bricks… she made the experience soo easy and a smoother than I expected it to be. I hate to say it but I had the best experience getting my tooth pulled by her then any other visits I’ve had going to any other dentist. I belive I found my new dentist. not only was she nice she was fast and listened to me when I asked for more.numbing. my hubby and I will be back to see you soon. thanks again for a good experience

I am absolutely appalled by my dentist Dr. JULIE TANABE. First off, let me say this: I was loyal to her for 11 years as she is very close to where I live. However, my last 6 visits have been a nightmare. Just like she doesn’t care or want to be at work. Her staff NEVER answers the phone. They’ll call you back 2 – 3 hours later to schedule an appointment. She’s never in the office unless there’s an appointment. (No wonder I always see her at Hawaii Kai Costco shopping during the DAY BUSINESS HOURS.!) She is half ass and has no class. First crown didn’t fit. She tried jamming it into my mouth and kept scolding me «BITE HARDER.» WTF? It ain’t gonna fit! 2 months later, she left cement all over my mouth after my crown. It didn’t fit right. She didn’t offer an adjustment. NO «tap, tap, bite, bite, grind, grind». She was done in under 3 minutes. Again, WTF?! Didn’t offer to rinse. No eye contact. She’s had new workers there for the past 11 years like a revolving door. And no wonder why. I’m sorry if your husband is a lawyer, and you live up on your cushy mansion up on Mariners ridge, but to normal folk like myself, that’s no way to treat your patients. Loyal, kama’aina patients. EVER!!! My sister, and close friend, who also USED TO BE patients of hers, echo my comments. I cannot believe how unprofessional she has become. I am looking for a new dentist. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND JULIE TANABE TO ANYONE NOR WISH TO HAVE THEM ENDURE THE SAME TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT MY SISTER AND FRIEND AND I HAVE EXPERIENCED.
