Spicy noodles! That’s the reason my coworker and I originally came here. He normally buys lunch while I normally bring mine. However on Tuesday after Labor Day, I was too lazy. So we went roaming. First we checked her $ 10 salad place but they were closed(thank goodness because I can’t justify $ 10 on leaves). Then we walked further along and came here. I didn’t even know the name of this restaurant. I thought it was called sushi and bim bim bap. Anyway our other coworkers mentioned that their spicy noodles are good so we both ended up getting that($ 7 each). We both chose pork spicy noodles. We get back and open our boxes. Wow! They’re so red. We eat it and woah we are both red! Haha they had good flavor despite being über spicy. I was sweating and really red while eating it. My coworker even blasted her fan on me. But I was still hot! I ended up eating only half and giving the rest to my spicy loving husband. He can’t wait to try it fresh! He loved their flavors. They actually give a lot! We ended up going back there 2 more times last week. My coworker got the yaki udon(it had lots of miso flavor), I’d get that if I wanted noodles. I also tried the bim bim bap. The guy won an award for it(there’s a picture) and I can see why! It was sooo good. I got it with spicy pork. There were so many colorful elements to it. I loved it! I’d get this dish again for sure. They are tiny but they have a few tables outside if you want to sit down. Most people pay cash but it says they take card. It seems like a cute family run business. They all seem really nice even when they’re shouting about your food coming out. They have pictures on their menu and explanations for their sushi if you want to know what’s in it. Oh and bring a fan if you want to eat spicy noodles. They’re just that hot!

This place honestly confuses me. Is this the«Sushi & Bibimbap» Place too? Was Super Paradise a former name? Because I see other Unilocalers posting pictures and stuff of a ‘sushi & bibimbap’ – LOST —

Just had to rave about the Kentucky roll, so called because it’s thinly sliced chicken katsu(Japanese ‘fried chicken’) enrobed with fresh lettuce, nori seaweed, rice and special sauces. Lip-smacking onolicious! At $ 6.99 it’s a bit pricey, but the roll is huge and includes a side salad plus a big heaping wad of ginger. Yummy! New menu items keep popping up with several versions of Bi Bim Bap now available(chicken, beef, vegetable) starting at $ 7.99.

LOCATED on Merchant Street(next to Great Harvest Bread) in the City Financial Building, Sushi Paradise is a great sushi option if you work in downtown. I have been eating here since they were Aloha Sushi and was really excited when I found out that they reopened with a bigger menu. It was tough not having them during their renovation period. FOOD quality here is pretty darn good. I normally get either the spicy ahi salad or the Ahi Salmon combo. Although, I don’t think they serve that dish anymore. Their fish is surprisingly pretty fresh here. I haven’t had the chance to try something from their new menu yet but it looks great. So many different fusion rolls to choose from. They also have other non sushi menu items such as katsu’s, hamburger steak, udon and so forth. if sushi isn’t your thing. ENVIRONMENT here is mainly take out but there are a few tables that you can sit on located around the outside of this place(If your lucky). One of the main reasons that keep me coming back here is the SERVICE. The owner is so friendly. Always smiling and they also do their best to get your food to you as quick as possible. That’s always a great thing when your working. Overall, I’m a fan because I enjoy the food, service and it’s convenient for me.

The other day I picked up a quick lunch at Sushi Paradise which is located in the ground floor lobby of the City Financial Tower building in downtown Honolulu. This place has added new items to the old Aloha Sushi menu including ramen as well as more combo bowl lunch options for $ 5.99. For that price, I ordered the gyoza and beef bowl which comes with 3 pieces of gyoza, toss salad, shredded teri beef and white rice. They don’t offer brown rice here. I enjoyed eating the gyoza which was of decent size and was fried until crispy and golden brown. It was the teri beef, though, which was a bit dry and lacked any flavor. I had to resort to dipping my meat into the gyoza sauce which helped to give it some taste. Not so sure I will be ordering this dish again. There are not many places in town which offer a bowl of ramen for $ 5.99. So on another day I went back and ordered their shoyu ramen with a side order of their gyoza(5 pieces for $ 2.99). This shoyu ramen was topped with a slice of kamaboko, sprinkle of seaweed, bean sprouts and few pieces of cooked egg. Upon receiving my ramen, the noodles were firm but it soon became much softer as it was left in the hot broth. As for the shoyu broth… it could have used a bit more seasoning.

I was so excited to see that Sushi Paradise opened near my work place, and even more pleased to read the positive reviews. I ordered a cherry blossom roll(think rainbow roll but with only tuna and salmon sashimi draped over the top.) There was also some ikura sprinkled on top. It was packaged very nicely, and looked delicious. That’s where it went downhill. The tuna looked«wet» and greyish-pink. When I picked up the tuna to eat the sashimi, the rice was a pinkish color from the tuna. Um no. The ikura looked and tasted artificial. I understand that for the price($ 9), my expectations should not be very high, but the quality of the sushi is better at Genki which has the same price point. On a positive note, the udon was good. I wont be going there for sushi again, but Sushi Paradise offers townies some lunch alternatives like udon, ramen, and plate lunches.

A new sushi place in downtown! Woot! Saw someone post a photo on Instagram and I had to check it out. I got a Forever Roll which is a shrimp tempura roll w/spicy ahi. So yummy! It comes w/a little bit of salad and some ginger. It was almost $ 10 with tax, but it was a pretty thick roll and I’m really, really full now. It was very yummy. Only peeve is that the shrimp tempura was a little soggy and they probably fried it in the beginning of the day. I waited about 5 minutes for my roll, not too bad. It seemed a little busy today during lunch; I guess everyone’s checking out the new place. Will definitely be back to try more of their rolls – they have so many different ones!
