Sri recently shot my 5 year old daughter. It was her first experience in front of a camera other then my own but Sri was so patient and wonderful with her that there was no hint of nervousness. The photos turned out wonderfully and my daughter felt like a super model. I can’t recommend her enough. Not only will you get beautiful photos but both her and her husband are amazing, sweet, genuine people who will really make it a great experience.

Sri took on one of the toughest roles as a photographer… working with kids! She was amazing with them and even though she was sick, she still had a high energy level and kept the girls engaged the entire time.
She also was a good communicator as we had to reschedule our first session as well as work around the weather.
And not to mention the pictures of my girls are amazing! I look forward to working with her for any future family photos as well! Thanks Sri!

Words cannot express how much I adore Sri … but I will try because she is so amazing! Planning a destination wedding in Hawaii (I live in San Diego) was nerve-​wrecking to say the least. Everything was done via email and I wasn’t going to have the chance to fly over in advance to meet with any of the vendors/​businesses I booked. I was most nervous about selecting a photographer since, let’s be honest, that’s one of the most important parts of the wedding. But my nerves were put at ease when I found Sri. She was recommended to me by our wedding venue and I could not have been happier!
Sri not only made our wedding feel personal (was worried about being just one of many weddings) but she is so unbelievably sweet and positive! Sri exudes warmth and made us feel so comfortable. During the photo session, she gave excellent direction so that all the photos came out FLAWLESS. I also have to add that Sri was joined by Russ and wow did we luck out with a great team of photographers! We asked for natural looking photos and they did just that. I felt like Sri and Russ really captured who we are a couple and brought out the fun playful side to us. I was so proud to show our wedding photos when we got home, and I cannot stop looking at them!

Sri is awesome. I had bouidoir photos taken for my fiancé’s birthday. The shots turned out great and he loves the photo book. Sri allowed me to use multiple outfits and was very friendly and easy to work with. I was a little nervous at first, but she made the whole experience relaxing and fun. Her daughter Rain also did my makeup which was great too. Sri’s prices were very reasonable and she also gives a military discount. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a photographer.

Sri photographed by husband’s and my 10-​year vow renewal this past week, and I have to say that it was a phenomenal experience. She captured some photos of my husband and me that are outstanding, and she also shot some of my kids that are absolutely perfect.
She was a joy to work with from the beginning of the process on, and her communication, congeniality, and thoughtfulness are unmatched. I would recommend her to anyone who wants/​needs photos on Oahu. She is very talented, thorough, and a true pleasure.

We paid $ 250 for the one hour photo session. This also included a wonderful make up session. She uploads your photos onto a password protected page on her website and touches up 6 photos of your choice. The photos are all yours to download and print.

My husband and I were on our honeymoon in Hawaii and we thought it’d be nice to have a small photoshoot on the island while we were there. So I looked up photographers on Unilocal and found Sri Maiava Rusden Photography. Prior to meeting Sri in person, she sounded very sweet via emails and that gave me a lot of nice comfort feelings. We were scheduled to have the photoshoot on a Monday but my husband wanted to attend a luau that evening so I contacted Sri to see if we could reschedule to the next day, and to my surprise, Sri was very nice and flexible about it.
Our photoshoot session was very fun and comfortable. Sri and Russ made it so easy for us to pose and be ourselves. What I love about Sri is that she’s a person of her words. Just only ONE day after our photoshoot, Sri was able to upload all 90 pictures on her website for us to download and all for one affordable price. We couldn’t be happier with the end results. Sri captured the right moments, lighting was great, and all together make our experience very unforgettable. Thank you Sri & Russ for this wonderful memory on our honeymoon.

We had a nazi-​like photographer for our engagement photoshoot and even though the pictures turned out great, we couldn’t help but remembering the frustration we had with our photographer during the shoot every time we looked at our pictures. Sri captured our engagement photos and our wedding. Sri and her team were accommodating, fast, and very professional. She made the entire process from start to finish very comfortable, and effortless. Sri & Russ were absolutely the best… I can’t say enough good things. Sri was patient with my several emails & understood how special I wanted my wedding day. She really heard my ton of desires & even accommodated my request for a remote, romantic beach outside of Wakiki. There we hiked down to Eternity Beach — Halona Cove… dress wrapped in plastic down the rocks.
Sri captured a ton of nice shots from a lot of different poses & angles. She provided us with the DVD of all of them… Which I love! I’ve been able to pick & choose & develop at my leisure. Both mother’s received a pkg of shots & keep asking for more. I have a ton of work now that I’m back, but I can’t stop daydreaming & staring at my beautiful day! I will always have that special feeling in my heart looking at these shots & remembering marrying my baby :) thanks Sri!

I’d been looking for several months at different wedding photographers trying to find the right fit for my fiancé and me. Then I remembered that my brother is a model and knows the best photographers! He strongly recommended Sri. She is a professional with over 20 years of experience, and I also think I read somewhere that she won an award for best fashion photographer in Hawaii one year. I checked out her portfolio and knew she was the one for me!
Our engagement photo session was a blast! Her daughter did my make-​up in the morning, which I absolutely loved and complimented the lighting. We went to 2 different locations within 1 hour and got over 250 shots that I absolutely love!
She captured exactly what I hoped for. She did a nice mix of posed, candid, and natural shots. The lighting was spectacular! It put my fiancé and me in the best light!
One of her greatest qualities is that she loves feedback. I had been corresponding with her 2 months prior to the session sharing my ideas and asking for recommendations. She would respond promptly and positively to my emails. An absolute joy to work with and my FAVORITE wedding vendor that I have worked with thus far!

I was recommended to Sri by my wedding coordinator. I loved her background story of how she became a photographer. Both her and her husband were models, getting their photos professionally taken on a daily basis. Over time they both found they wanted to actually be on the OTHER side of the lens, producing and directing instead of acting, if you will. :) Feeling like they had an experienced eye for all things beautiful, they immersed themselves in mastering the art. Fast forward to current day and time, and Sri has a lively and thriving family business where she gets to live her dream every single day!
I signed up for a gamut of photography services from Sri (and family) for the week before, and day of my wedding. She offers multiple wedding packages to fit your needs, engagement packages, boudoir sessions, offers commercial/​advertising photography, and videography. She is extremely flexible though! We had wanted someone to be around for our pre-​wedding celebration at Waikiki Aquarium to take a bunch of casual and candid shots for a few hours. While getting to know Sri, she had mentioned that even her daughter is getting into photography as well. So I sheepishly asked her that if maybe her daughter wanted a gig, she could come do our event! Both of them agreed, showed up, cameras in hand, and helped make our night a blast!
Sri’s positive attitude and outgoing personality made every hour with her so fun! Even our boudoir session (which I was super apprehensive and nervous about) was so much fun. She was so encouraging and supportive, and gave awesome direction! I loved how she would give me specific direction like ‘chin down’ ‘now look to the left’ ‘slight smile’ ‘turn towards me’ etc. So helpful for a camera-​shy novice like me!!! For my wedding, she came equipped with two other photographers, and took well over 1,200 shots! So cool to look through all of them. It’s like I get to see the entire day from start to finish from three different angles!!! Such a great quality of work too. Quality AND quantity! What a concept! Haha. I love her vision and spontaneity. When she sees a shot, she will stop everything just to make sure she catches it. Her shots are so artistic, and she gets the lighting juuuussst right, that there is absolutely no need to edit them in any way. Simply amazing.
I cannot even begin to thank her for all she’s done for us. Sri is the best decision we made in our wedding planning and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. We were so lucky that she made herself and her daughter available for all of our needs! You are in such good hands with Sri!!!
