Handcrafted art and gifts made only in Hawaii! It is the goal of Simply Wood Studios to create and expand interest for higher-​quality art and crafts from around the Hawaiian state. Our focus is to introduce Hawaiian artists along with their work creating more interest in the local art community. We carry work from over 70 local artists and have gifts and art for everyone.

Our first Gallery opened in 2008 on Kapahulu Ave.

Aaron L.

Business Owner

Aaron P Lau, or «P» Lau («stinky» in Hawaiian slang) as he is affectionately nicknamed, began his fascination of wood when he was very young. Influenced by his Grandfather, Aaron would play with hammers, nails, and sand paper while being looked after by his Grandparents in Honolulu, Hawaii. He has taken up woodworking recently while working as an independent Financial Advisor and Executive Loan Officer in Honolulu. His background in marketing and finance has helped him with his success with such a creative business. After his Grandfather’s passing in 2000, Aaron has since setup his workshop where his Grandfather once worked underneath the house. He has created a flourishing business in woodworking and selling wood art.
