back in the 80’s there was a masterful artist name Lassen, same generation as red rooster, rockers, and bon jovi n them. he was a mega superstar icon known for his oil paintings and also a surfer up by the north shore. oil/​spray paintings consist of a lot of sunsets, whales, underwater scenery and even some astronomical impressions. style was one of a kind and original. remember that he actually painted a couple murals on buildings in waikiki and town. that gives u a perspective how big of an icon. besides the sunset, thought the waves pretty impressive with the light, perfect tube, and bubbles. every one of them had perfect wave. you could find his work @ Higgins Harte art gallery. make a note to stop by. is not any ordinary gallery.
