a gem. The owner was so friendly and it felt like shopping in a friend’s closet! She helped me with an outfit and helped me match my dress with a belt. The dress was a unique oriental print and something I would not be able to find in the bigger stores. I loved the mix of up cycled garments and local artist tees. The prices were absolutely fair and a nice change compared to the overpriced shops in waikiki.

SHOP NOVA is an adorable boutique. Not only is the owner Lachelle awesome and welcoming. It’s always nice to know that you can come here for random gifts and cute outfits.

Shop Nova is a quaint little shop on the outskirts of Waikiki. I loved the service that Lachelle and her husband Mark gave me and I liked all the designs of the shirts and hats. I’m a guy, but I was very impressed by the designs from all the female clothing as well. For the guys I do wish that there was more of a selection of clothing, but that won’t stop me from giving them 5 stars. It is an upstart buisness, but I do see a lot of growth and opportunities coming their way. Much love from the island of Kauai guys!

In addition to selling the latest and NEW clothing items and accessories, Shop Nova also sells REVIVED/“UP-CYCLED” designer and name brand clothing and knick knacks. Just a lot of cool and hip vintage items that are waiting to be REDISCOVERED by eager shoppers like myself.
Owner Lachelle is also all for supporting our local artists and businesses.

***Kokedama is a traditional Japanese art form that basically uses balls of moss as a container for a orchids, succulents, anthuriums etc. A truly hip and unique way of decorating your homes and offices with plants and flowers, sans the bulky vases/​pots.

By Unilocal standards, this boutique is worthy of the 5 star rating because it really is «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» It’s the only place in town that I know of that sells both new and up-​cycled items. That in itself, deserves much praise.

So I suggest you hit up Shop Nova. Not only does this cute eclectic shop have revived up-​cycle clothing and trinkets it also has the latest fashion you see in any surf shop or boutiques. Not to mention the owner Lachelle is an amazing dresser so trust me you can trust her. So if you’re in the Kapahulu area you should do yourself a favor and check out Shop Nova. Super cute boutique! This gem just opened on Kapahulu Ave and you can’t miss it. The exterior is beautifully painted in an eye catching teal. Walk inside and you’re greeted with positive vibes, one-​of-​a-​kind things for the home, and an assortment of the latest fashion trends. It’s totally affordable and versatile; you can find things for yourself and as gifts.
Owner, Lachelle, is amazing! She has a great eye and can help you find what you’re looking for. Best part, you totally don’t feel pressured to buy anything. She makes you feel right at home and like you’re a long lost friend rather than a customer.
There’s no parking lot but there is ample street parking on Kapahulu Ave, Kamuela Ave and Date Street.
