Seawind Tours is an AMAZING company with staff that is so friendly, accommodating, and responsive. I used Seawind for organizing a corporate event on a neighbor island. We weren’t sure which island to go to, so they started with a selection of hotels from Maui, Hawaii and Kaui from which we were able to choose.
I worked with Elizabeth Campbell and Robin Sato who, in addition to having a ton of patience, were successful in negotiating a great room rate that was extended three days before and after the meeting. Seawind was also able to negotiate the meeting room rate from $ 2500 to a flat $ 500 with a similarly reduced food and beverage minimum.
In addition, Seawind used their contacts to provide a number of options for our play — giving us a zipline tour, horseback riding, snorkeling, and more. They also provided insight as to why a bike ride down Haleakala might not be the best for our group. And, like the hotel rates, they negotiated and we paid less than what I saw the same companies had posted on line.
Finally, I think it is the attention to detail that makes Seawind first class. They took care of every little tiny detail that made our corporate retreat so satisfying and STRESS FREE.

Have you ever tried to set up a field trip for a 100 students to an outer island? I have and it is a great experience for students and teachers but a ton of stress and hard work for the teacher to prepare for such a big task. There is the problem of food, housing, and setting up of the different places that the students can visit. There are also many intangibles that you can’t think of that come back to hit you when you begin your adventure. My School has gone on many trips to the mainland and to the outer islands but it can be very stressful for teachers that have never been on a field trip of this magnitude. I asked our band director about Seawind Tours and Travel and he gave a rave review about them. I figured that perhaps this maybe a great way for my academic team tackle this tough task. We needed help and Seawind was the help we needed.
I contacted Robin and we began planning immediately in Sept. We went over what I wanted for the trip on a day by day basis and what order we wanted it in. Seawind quickly took the burden of collecting money off of our hands. This is extremely important for teachers because we have so many forms and money to collect for other classes that it is hard to keep up. Also any type of fund-​raising money we raised was sent to Seawind and Seawind graciously sent a refund check to the students that did the fund raising. Also Seawind was very flexible with the payments for the students which helped tremendously. This helped a great deal because it allowed over a hundred students to participate.
Seawind worked directly with me and my team to figuring out the food and hotel arrangements. We usually stay and Kilauea Military Camp but it was taken by an Elementary School.
Talking to parents is one of the hardest things to do. Any questions or concerns parents had she was always willing to answer them or even call them. Robin always kept in touch with me with what parents had called her and what were their questions or concerns. We also worked together to set up meetings with the parents. We used the meeting to sell the trip to the parents and what to expect. We were able convince many students to come and parents to chaperone.
As D-​Day for the trip approached, Robin kept in touch daily with me to keep me informed about any changes. We had some last minute drop out which we know was a huge burden to them but they were still willing to contact parents and keep those parents informed.
When the day of the trip came, Seawind made our trip work like clockwork. From getting us to the plane to the bus, everything went smoothly. There was always someone to tell us where to go, at the museum, parks, or on a hike. I was a little worried that we would be lost on Kilauea Iki crater since I was the only one that did the hike. Seawind hired a guide to help us along the hike. This was a tremendous help. Also for the first time we were able to choose the movie that would play in Imiloa Astronomy Center. We have never been able to do that. Also we normally don’t eat in the restaurant. Seawind set up the the accommodations for us to eat there and the food was great.
What I loved about this trip was if anything went wrong, they were there to fix it. When it rained, they went to pick up ponchos for the students. when we were worried about water, they picked it up for us. It was perfect. My team was so impressed with this team.
I am not the only one that says this. Other groups in our school have used Seawind and they have been greatly satisfied. I did not hear one bad review from anyone in our school. The trip for us was a great success.
I would highly recommend this company. They did so much for our school and my students. When I asked my team if they were willing to work on their own the next trip, they said no way and that it was worth going with Seawind. I HIGHLY recommend Seawind. You will pay a little more than setting it up on your own but it is totally worth it. I just hope that Seawind will be willing to work with us and our crazy 8^th graders the next time.

I e-​mailed the company with my home phone. The president called me promptly, but I was sleeping (due to my night shift work). We played phone tag until we connected several hours later (he stays in the office until 7pm).
He was so helpful that I brought my elderly church members to his office so he could answer all of their questions. We tried on the jacket which is included in the tour to the Holy Land. All of my church «aunties» signed up because he was so knowledgeable and patient.
We’re very satisfied with Randy’s customer service, organization, and friendliness! His assistant, Jessica is a sweetheart also!

I called for assistance in booking travel and after a day or two of information forwarding there was a lapse of about 3 weeks before I got an email saying that the person I spoke to was referring me to someone else in the office. And then I never heard back from them. They must be doing really well in this economy for them to be so flaky.
