I travel every 3 months for my job. Finding a place to get my hair cut is sheer terror. Fortunately my current manager came in with a gorgeous hair cut. I made an appointment immediately. I waited about 10 days to get in. The shop is tucked in a building in the Times grocery store parking lot on Beretania. OMG! I am so impressed. I have her card and it says Chi San and owner. Maybe she also goes by Kim. Whatever. I didn’t wait ATALL. She was so kind and nice. She did an AMAZING job. She actually LISTENED to me! She discussed the cut with me. In DETAIL! That is hard to find. Anyway, the cut is perfect. She gave me great advice(asked for). And when she gave me the credit card receipt to sign I almost fainted. WHERE can you find prices like this??? She is a true gem. I wanted to come one more time before I left for the mainland at end of May. She said«no, you won’t need it then. Cut at end of June.» WHO turns down money? She didn’t have to say this. I would have happily paid her again for just a little trim. Sweet, smart, GREAT hairdresser AND honest. Too good to be true.

GAYLE is the best haircuttter I’ve ever had. Her rate is competitive, she is thorough and attentive, and she is also very sweet and kind. I love her taste when it comes to style; I trust her everytime and don’t need to give her much direction. Thanks Gayle!

I’ve been coming here for years to do my hair. My hair stylist is May and she does a wonderful job. Not once was I not satisfied. She knows of the current hair trends and recommends on how to do your hair before doing anything. She is very friendly. Price is very reasonable. She does hair for all gender and ages. I was her clientele at JC Penney and followed her here even though I live on the west side of Oahu. If u do see her tell her that I recommended her.

I came here because of all the good reviews. I’m not very adventurous or spontaneous when it comes to trusting new people with my hair. So I decided I should start now. Bad decision. I walked for 20 mins in the hot sun not to mention walking up and down two-stories of stairs(for anti-exercise people like me) just to find out that they don’t except walk-ins. Really? I came in excited thinking I’d get a bomb ass hair cut(not that my hair was bad beforehand) but nope ! They only except appointments.(I didn’t even get a greeting!) I especially don’t have time to make an appointment for my prom was comming soon in a few days. And along with a greeting, they should’ve first asked the customer if they have an appointment to avoid having them wait for nothing ! How convenient. Oh, and very disappointing. Some might say the results of the hair cut and it’s cheap price is worth it but… I still think walk-ins should be allowed. Complete waste of my time. But if you STILL want to go, make sure you make that STINKINGAPPOINTMENT!

I just got THEBEST haircut ever from Kim. My hair has never behaved well, but under Kim’s skilled hands it always falls into place. She knows hair, and this haircut is so easy to style. Kim is my new hero; I will make it a point to come to Honolulu regularly for my haircuts.

Unilocal Challenge 365 # 121⁄365 I am embarressed to think I’ve never reviewed this salon. A salon I’ve been going to for years now. Kim, proprietor is a petite woman who is absolutely the best! She’s personable, friendly and a great hairstylist. There are other stylists there who are also very talented and friendly but Kim is my gal. Oh, let me not forget they have a manicurist also. I think her name is Eppi. The shop is tucked upstairs above Grace’s Drive Inn on Beretania(across Honolulu Burger) and shares the same parking lot with Times Supermarket and St Germain’s. The pricing is absolutely reasonable. I would like to say it is pre Yr 2000 prices but then, she may raise the prices LOL. Even if she did, I would still continue her services… worth every dollar. One word of caution! Make your next appointment before you leave the shop. Kim’s calendar(while she is accommodating to last minute situations) is always full so be sure to get the next appointment before you leave…

i give this little hair salon a 5 stars, its a hole in the wall spot that has great hair stylists. Not like the overpriced places which charge you an arm and a leg for a great cut. Real good quality cuts for boys, girls, men, women, and all the grandpas, and grandmas. 5 stars for Salon Hair Time.

I have been coming to this salon for the past 5+ years. It’s located right off of Beretania street in the same shopping center that has Times and Grace’s Inn. I usually go and see Kim who is also the owner of the salon. I am a BIG fan of Kim! She really knows what to do when it comes to hair and taking care of your hair. I am part hawaiian so I have really thick and coarse hair. I see Kim to relax my hair once a year and I see her every couple months to color my hair. She really knows what she’s doing. Even though I live all the way in Ewa Beach I still make the drive down to this salon because I trust Kim. If you are looking for a hair stylist to go to I would suggest coming down to this salon, besides Kim there are 4 other stylists there to choose from! =)
