Awful place. We went a few months ago during the weekday around 6pm. The dining room is huge but there were literally no other diners there. Plus they refused to turn on the AC(or it was broken). So on a hot day(as it usually is in Hawaii), I was sweating — and that was before the phở. Yes, the portions are very skimpy and it wasn’t anything to write home about. Well, it was worth writing on Unilocal I guess. Avoid.

The food here is good & the service is excellent!!! Do Not Believe what Ace Dumb just criticized!!! Ace Dumb is a half male-half female person whom acted like a gangster, with a pair of extra large eyeballs, walked into the restaurant at closing time, scared the 2 lady workers away with the mad looking face, and finally, one brave lady worker came out to take order, she was so scare, she can barely speak. Ace Dumb ordered take our 2 bowls of noodle & filled up over TEN container of Hot Sauce. Who the hell in this world eat 2 bowl of noodle with more than TENCONTAINERSOFHOTSAUCE??? One of the lady worker said«You take Too Much!!! We can give you one or two for free, and the rest you have to pay». Then Ace Dumb started to get mad & Swear & acted crazy like he/she want to start a fight, which scared the two lady workers once again, and Ace Dumb slowy walked away without paying for Ten Containers of hot sauce. Ace Dumb said«I’ll spread bad words around to make your business slow». Ace Dumb put the food inside the car but didn’t want to leave, he/she just kept walking back & forth at the door for TENMINUTES intended to fight or something. The two scared ladies got freaked out, went to lock the door, grabbed the phone to get ready to call the cops. DIDANYBODYEVERGOTINTOTHISKINDOFSITUATIONWHILEWORKINGAS A CUSTOMERSERVICE??? I hope Ace Dumb will never do this again to anybody!!! GODBLESS!

Didn’t like the phở here. nothing to go gaga about. Not generous with meat. Only one size bowl. Plate lunch style place where the menu is on the wall and you order at the counter. What I didn’t like about this place was that after they called my order ready, i had to pick up the bowl at the counter and carry it back to my table. They have many other stuff on the menu like American and local food, and also Vietnamese sandwiches. Only tried the phở here. I don’t know if the first impression makes me want to go back and try out the other food. Maybe the other food on the menu is good, but i don’t know. I guess I wont be finding out anytime soon.

This is just like the L&L of Phở places. You order from a counter and they drop it off at the table. The phở itself was not that great. Plus I got an order of the spring rolls, and they were nothing to brag about either. Try someplace else.

Taking over where Spot’s use to stand comes a Vietnamese & American Food Dine-In Take-Out place. Same style as Spot’s. Order, pick-up, dine in, or take out. I have been here twice(the first time I didn’t get anything) this time around I figured I should try something. We got(pictures): BBQ Sandwich — Which my friend was not a fan of. Chicken Curry w/rice 7.00 — It was okay, it filled my curry craving I was having that day. A little spicy and leaned more on the Vietnamese side then American style. The chicken was very soft and practically fell off the bone. French Ice Coffee with Condense Milk 2.50 — Mmmm, on the thicker side and very sweet. However, a friend of mine complained about the LARGE amount of ice that fills the cup from bottom to the top… I mean they stack the ice in there, not really leaving a lot of room for the actually coffee itself. I can’t say I am a «fan» of the place, but I do know I will go there often enough to be okay with it. Being in walking distance from school, it is a nice change of pace then the usually Sonny’s and Island Brew. –The credit card minimum is 8.00 so says the old man, who I think made up that minimum when my friend wanted to buy just a iced coffee. — The old man has a VERY thick accent so keep your ears sharp. Sometimes when they call the numbers I have no idea what number is being called.
