It’s alright. The first time I went (about 2 – 3 years ago) they were really good! I got a mani pedi with a French tip fade in yellow (my daughters fav color! Lol). Lasted the average 1.5−2.5 weeks.
This past time I went, I showed the lady what I wanted based of a Pinterest photo. She did alright, however it took her about 2 – 3 min per nail when she was applying the gel. So nail! Bwahaha. I’d rate my nails a 6 out of 10. I go here because it’s near Honolulu Community College; 5 min walk away lol

I am extremely shocked and disappointed and wish I had taken a picture of my nails after they were finished and 2 days later when my gel manicure and tips bubbled up and fell off. I have never seen someone guess at what they were doing before… I specifically asked for gel manicure with french tips and after she prepped my nails she took out the acrylic set and repeatedly stated that it was gel. I told her not to put acrylic on my nails and finally she just took the gel bottle from another desk and started putting it on my nails without any prep or technique. I had to point out that there was a big dip in my nails from the tips she put on and needed to fill in and she just gave an attitude. She then tried to remove the sticky residue from the gel by soaking my figures in alcohol and had no idea (even after I told her) that there was a special remover for that. She went to the back and called another manicurist who roughly took my hands and filed down the sides (causing my to flinch when it hurt)…I’ll spare you the gruesome details of the rest of my visit but OVERALL TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I walked in to this empty salon to inquire about their Groupon and was told I had to book an appointment 24 hours in advance. I couldnt help but laugh as they clearly were sitting around doing nothing. Ive never gotten my nails done here but I wont be back.

So disappointed! This WAS my go-​to place for my nails. I buy Groupon for this place all the time.
With a busy month passing I forgot my Groupon was expiring today. I called and explained and they said they would squeeze me in. Got there early. The lady who is normally friendly sucks balls this time. I showed her the Groupon for gel acrylic mani with French tips. I told her I DID NOT want the acrylics. Then her friend comes in and stands over my shoulder for half the time. Then the tech starts rushing, does a cappy job to the point where I had to point out all the flaws AND there’s specks of dust! WTH!!! SO DISAPPOINTED!

I got the groupon for the acrylic French manicure so I did that as well as a pedicure. So it was fine but then I asked her to do a glittery line and she said ok but did not do it. Then I had to ask her twice to refile because my nails were crooked after she said ok, finish. Don’t even get me started on my pedicure. Just don’t waste your time or money

Worst nail salon I’ve been to in my entire life. My friend and I showed them pictures of the nails we wanted. They said and acted as if they could do it then at last minute they said they couldn’t and tried to steer us away from what we originally came for. Our nails don’t look anything like we asked for. Complete disappointment and a waste of money. So terrible. Never again. Especially with how much it costed. Ridiculous.

Looks clean, went on Mother’s Day and there was one person occupying a pedicure chair and one worker giving pedi, it was 1130, she asked if I could come back at 2 because she was busy. Looks like they need a larger staff.

Terrible! I bought a groupon for this place, I had a gel polish done that last one week! It’s two years that I have the gel polish done and it always lasts for at least 3 weeks, actually even longer, I have to remove it just because u can see that the nails are growing, but at the salon they did a terrible job, first of all she applied the polish on my cuticle, the uv lamp she used was not even able to dry the nails well! I had also a pedicure there, she didn’t removed my callus at all and the nail polish she used was crap! I think it was old and she didn’t even used a top coat at the end! Don’t waste your money don’t go there there are better places for the same price or less, I never had a terrible service like this in my whole life!

First time here & i loved it! Its located right next to Lox of Bagels. Went there after work around 4:45pm on a Monday & it wasnt busy at all! There was only a mother & daughter there finishing up their mani/​pedi n than only me there the rest of the time. I finished a little before 6pm. Luci did my pedicure & she was very good. The massage chair was super good! They also have a card where they sign it everytime you go for your next pedicure (not sure if it applies to manis also-​forgot to ask) & on your fifth pedi, you get 50%off! I think i found my new favorite place to get my pedi & the best thing is that its right down the road from home & work=)

Nice polish job, but that’s about it.
My best friend and I came here for a girls day on a Friday afternoon with Groupons for deluxe pedicures. We had made the appointment for two of us a few days prior. My friend noted that she had difficulty changing the 3:00 PM appointment to a 1:30 PM appointment because of the language barrier. We hoped they were able to successfully change the time…
Come to find out they had in fact changed the time but only had an appointment for one of us, not two. At first they refused to accommodate us, saying that only one person could take the Groupon appointment and the other would have to pay full price because they were already «booked.» I peeked at their appointment book and it was completely void of appointments aside from ours. Suspicious. We asked if we could make an appointment for another day, since the point was to use both of our Groupons together. Finally, they agreed to let us both use our Groupons at the 1:30 PM appointment, but only after reprimanding us to «make an appointment next time» (even though we already did!).
The whole pedicure process was thorough, but I don’t think it did much in terms of softening my feet/​calluses. There also didn’t seem to be consistency in procedures, as I noticed my friend having the blue gel applied in a different order than mine was. The technician who did the nails also didn’t wash off my legs well and I found some of the blue gel goop on my legs (and on my car seat cover) later that day. However, the polish job was nice, clean, and has yet to chip after over 2 weeks. I had originally wanted some nail art, but after our poor customer service experience earlier, I decided not to risk it with the language barrier.
And might I add that not a single customer came in throughout the entirety of our appointment. «Booked,» they say?

So the girlies wanted to go and get a pedicure this weekend. We threw out a couple suggestions, however one of my friends found a Groupon for ViVi salon.
The deal was awesome, so we bought them and scheduled an appointment. The place was clean and they were ready and available for us when we arrived. We perused the different nail polish colors and decided on what we wanted our feet to look like.
The experience was, meh… I didn’t get the sugar scrub that I was supposed to get… when a new customer came in the person that was working on me basically stopped working on me so she could go work on the new person which I thought was a little rude… and wrapped my ankles quickly so that they could get to the next person which irked me a little bit. I normally would say something however didn’t want to get into an argument with someone and spoil my weekend. So I just let it go.
I definitely won’t go back.

Yeah, I’m probably not going to come back after my most recent visit. I had purchased a Groupon for a gelish manicure but it was the saddest mani ever.
I called to make a same day appointment after getting the deal and was told I needed a 24 hour advanced reservation. Ok no problem, I settled to come in the following day.
The tech who did my nails was very friendly but handiwork was questionable. For a manicure, I expected a bit more than just a quick file and cuticle maintenance. There was no massage or any cleaning under the nails. The entire process was only 15 minutes. The polish application was uneven and it chipped the next day. Oh well.
With so many Groupon deals available, I think ViVi should treat those customers better and be more flexible with the reservation times. From this experience and the one before (as a full paying customer), I find the quality to be going downhill. Sorry, ViVi.

and bought the deluxe pedicure for $ 18. My friend and I went after lunch on a Thursday.
The polish job was good. But I’m not confident in the scrubs, lotions, and mask they applied. I wear steal cap boots on the regular and though the pedicure would return my feet to its original softness – well it didn’t. My feet still feel the same.
The customer service is difficult to judge because of the language barrier. I made the appointment for two people with groupons over the phone, and when we arrived they said they only made an appointment for one and that my friend would have to pay full price. Don’t really know why having an appointment was made into such a big deal because they weren’t busy.
Overall, I feel like the only thing I paid for was a good nail file and polish job. Everything else was sub par. It didn’t feel like my groupon was a deal, I actually feel like I overpaid.

Had a full set put on 2 days ago from Minh. Loved it so much came back for a pedicure… I highly recommend VIVI salon

This used to be my go to place because of one lady there but she has since left and now this place is mediocre.
The salon itself is clean. Cant say for sure, but tools don’t seem to be sterilized between clients. I’ve been in more comfortable chairs.
Service was not very friendly and she was kind of rough. Felt like I got cut, she put a HOT towel directly on my skin (had to ask her to take it off for a second to let it cool a little), felt like she was trying to rip off my toes, and she kept scratching me while massaging my legs. It’s also pretty annoying that she got all those creams and scrubs and water on my pants (and they were rolled up above my knee)…she had no regard for how sloppy she was being.
This appointment was to redeem a Groupon. When she was ready to apply the polish, I asked about the paraffin wax that was described in the Groupon as part of the pedicure and she said no, she applied the mask (when she burnt me with the hot towel) and as it says mask at the top of the groupon… cut I’m supposed to know a «face mask» is applied to my foot and that it replaces the paraffin wax that was in the description of services…*SIGH*
If anyone knows where Cindy (the awesome one that i used to come to) went, please let me know.
3 stars for convenience and my polish was applied well enough. Minus stars for the not so relaxing experience.

I’ve been here a number of times and find the service to be erratic at best.
Today was the last straw. I planned to meet up with two girls and walk in. They arrived before me and asked for pedicures for three and were told ok. I was the last to arrive by a few minutes. No one else was waiting. The owner and a worker had started on my friends pedis and another was already working on someone else’s manicure. I chose my nail color and sat down and waited. 20 minutes later, another few women walked in and had appts for 5:00. The owner tells me to get it off the chair and move! It was 4:35. She said they had appointments so now I would have to wait an hour!!! She never mentioned anything about having appointments when we first arrived which tells me I was left to wait in case she could squeeze me in for the money. If not, she’d go with the sure fire money. DO NOT GO HERE! They are rude, greedy, and have no people skills whatsoever. And further… my friend was supposed to get a mani too. The owner told her after she finished her pedicure that she couldn’t get the mani. Again… RUDE AND BAD BUSINESS!!! I wish I could give negative stars but Unilocal won’t let me.

I bought two groupons, one for pedi/​another for meni. And about a month ago i went to get my pedicure. When I went back for manicure this time they said I only have pedi groupon left and charged me 7 dollars extra. It’s okay that there might be a mistake either on me or on them, but they got so defensive and aggressive. Very unpleasant experience…

Ok. So i want to make this clear that this place is called «Vivi Salon and Spa.» After reading the other reviews I think they are talking about the other salon «Nail Vivi.» I know nothing about the other salon, but I just wanted Unilocalers to know to read carefully.
Had my first experience with me and my girlfriend and the ladies were able to take us instantly. We did a pedi and mani gelish. We wanted Cal gel, but they were nice enough to explain that gelish is better for your nails. The ladies are nice and helpful. Strange, they didnt push design or extras… which we would have paid for.
Sadly due to an english barrier, they got my gf’s nails wrong. Plus she showed them what she wanted. She had nail polish on her skin and the nail polish on her nails didnt even cover the entire nail. :/​It could also be because she chose pink. Lol.
The place has both a nail salon and hair salon. Its a clean place. The price is reasonable, since I am on a budget, it helped. I will definately come back on a Monday or Tuesday since they have discounts. :) Sadly my gf may not be back anytime soon. She will come back for a hair cut instead.

So I found a great deal on groupon, and mistakenly purchased the manicure instead of the pedicure deal! I thought I was doomed and would have to buy the pedicure one in addition, but I called and they were able to let me use manicure one and just pay the $ 2 difference to get the pedicure. Yay!
So I made my appointment and ended up having to reschedule. No hassle, no problem! Awesome.
When I arrived at my appointment yesterday I was 15 minutes early and they were already waiting for me. It was 5:45 pm and the salon was actually completely empty except for the stylists and a guy who was having his hair cut. Nice and quiet– just how I like it.
A woman who was dressed neatly and professionally escorted me to a pedicure chair and began filling the tub with water, adding some bath salt (or whatever that powdery stuff is that they always throw in there). I want to mention that she made the water really hot and though I expressed that it was too hot she let it keep filling and it became so unbearable that I had to hold my feet up out of the water. But eventually I forced myself to just put them in and hoped my skin would adjust. It did eventually and I learned that although I wasn’t comfortable in the beginning, the water stayed warm throughout the pedicure so I guess that’s a plus.
The BEST part of this pedicure was the massage chair! Unlike most massage chairs that you find in nail salons, this one could actually massage the knots in my back! The intensity is adjustable and there are a few different settings. Loved it. Even today my back is feeling pretty good.
So I assumed the woman doing my toes was the owner because she was dressed nicely and throughout the pedicure she explained how every product she used on me was better quality than most salons because she used OPI brand scrubs and lotions on me instead of generic kind. During the filing portion, she accidentally filed my skin on two of my toes which caused a burn/​cut. I had to stop her because it was painful and she adjusted.
Next she did a paraffin wax on my feet. It was my first time doing one of those so I didn’t know what to expect. She brought out two plastic bags with an orange liquid inside and instructed me to place my feet in them. She held them open for me and I slipped my feet in one at a time and was surprised at how HOT it was. Maybe I’m a wuss but again it was almost unbearable how hot it was. After that she began to press the liquid around my feet and between my toes and it began to harden into a pale orange solid. After a few minutes it began to feel comfortable even really cozy after a while. When she pulled the bags off of my feet it felt sooo good. Like taking your socks off after a long day, but fresh at the same time.
I had a picture of a pedicure design that I wanted and she did her absolute best to replicate it, even adding her own twist to it which I liked.
At the end, she gave me a pair of pink salon slippers because I came in moccasins (oops!). Not that I minded, but both of the slippers she gave me were right-​footed. Just thought it was funny! She then welcomed me back and asked me to invite my friends when I do.
Overall, I had a good experience and I will definitely be back.

Having just moved here its hard to go from the lady you saw every two weeks for three years to looking for a new place again, it feels like cheating on your wife…
I looked around quite a bit on Unilocal before finding this place and had one mediocre mani/​pedi elsewhere before coming here and now I know I have found my nail place.
I decided to do the pedi with the sugar scrub and it was wonderful. I forgot to get her name but the woman who took care of me did an excellent job, and made my feet feel amazing. I also appreciated the fact that they didn’t try to up sell me into anything I didn’t want, etc.
I got the gelish polish on my nails and am very satisfied with my nails as well and truly appreciated the hand massage as well!
Look forward to my appointment in a few weeks!
They have a card where after 6 services (?) you get 50% off too which is great!
