We have had way better Korean bbq. The beef tasted spoiled. Didn’t eat it, afraid of getting sick. Veggies were ono. Got the cabbage, seaweed, watercress and bean sprouts and all were fresh and tasty. Mandoo was very good, also. Chicken had no bbq flavor to it and tasted more like shoyu chicken. Would not eat here again.

Had the garlic chicken with kimchi and other vegetables. The meat was ok but the kimchi was way too salty.

Clearly these businesses dont know who’s running their kitchen — –if the smart lipped punk working that kitchen still thinks he can talk about about a customer and engage in a conversation with a co-worker ABOUT the customer while theyre still standing there, he has NO clue about people, society or the general world. Your businesses are run on money — you dont care about service, decency or tact. Which makes me doubt your food, if you dont care about your image, why would you care about your about meal preparation? Til now I never doubted your restaurant, until tonite when some juvenile little prick decided to try and degrade me and it made me think — he’d spit in my meal — -me and my co-workers of STARWOODHOTELS decided to take our business elsewhere and put this MESS of a business on the«NEVERAGAIN» list.

This location is actually in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, in the food court. They’re tucked in the corner by Sbarro & a Japanese noodle style vendor. I came here on a Thursday night w/little sis around 5pm. There was a line, but they were pretty efficient w/getting our the orders. I’m used to always having to wait for Pearl’s, as one of the ONLY Pearl’s we had on Maui was also in a mall, and they were one of the busiest. ANYWAYS, the reason for two stars is the quality of the food here. It’s not as good as the other Pearl’s Korean BBQ. Their potato salad, was OVERLY drenched in mayo, and their bean sprouts had no flavor(where’s my SESAMEOIL!?). Also their food is not consistent w/other locations. My sister had the famous BBQ Chicken, the cook who was cooking slathered it on w/the sauce, making it look like southern bbq chicken. I guess it can be popular and busy because it is a tourist destination. But meh in regards to the other Pearl’s. One thing I have to hand them props for is the PORTIONS& their Garlic Chicken, which was really good. But their sides, I wouldn’t return for those.

For starters, I asked the lady if i could have a spicy bbq chicken and bbq beef combo as opposed to the standard bbq chicken and bbq beef combo. She said no. I even offered to pay extra. Still said no. When i asked why not, her response was that it wasnt in the computer. Extremely dissapointing. Besides that, when we got our food it was mediocre. The beef, chicken, and rice were fine. Probably 3.5 stars for that. However, the side dishes are all cold. The ones you would think are hot, they’re not. I.e. steamed cabage, steamed greens, and steamed bean sprouts. They’re all blanched and chilled. I wasn’t a fan. The Korean Bbq place down the street has the same sides only served hot. Far better.

Delicious Korean/Hawaiian style food! I ordered the Kalbi plate with four sides of my own choice(mayo potato, choi sum, rice noodles, kimichi). Generous portions, friendly staff, and great taste!

Since no more Chois Korean Bbq(i think it what it was called) since they took out the international market place. Ive have eaten here twice now. Good food, friendly workers, overall not a bad place to eat in a strip mall
