History

Established in 1994.

Shillawon first opened in Honolulu on September 19, 1994, making Shillawon the first investment in the restaurant business in Honolulu and perhaps in the United States by a South Korean enterprise.

Under new management and new name, New Shilawon, re-​opened December 2014.
