History
Established in 2001.
The owner, Fernando, started baking breads at home during the night and selling them the next morning at the Bus Stops where there’s mostly Filipino hotel workers waiting. On the weekends, he goes to Bishop Garden to sell his products. A visit from the Department of Health made him realized the need to find a commercial place for business. At that time, Paul’s Bakery was available, so along with three other partners, purchased the place. It was not long after, the three sold their interests on the business, thus Nanding’s, from starting as a Partnership, became a Sole Proprietorship.
Meet the Business Owner
Fernando P.
Business Owner
He practically grew in the bakery. His family owned a bakery in the Philippines, where he was trained even at a very young age the nature of hard work. At the age of 24, he started his own bakery with his girlfriend then, now his wife, Carmi. Unfortunately, the place burned down, but thanks to insurance, they were able to replace the bakery. After a few years, they sold the bakery and started another business, a video rental-coverage-editing shop. In 1996, he migrated to Hawaii, where until now, he resides with his wife Carmi and their three children. They were able to put up another bakery in the Waipahu area, a predominantly Filipino/Asian community. Currently, his 24 year old son, Carlo, helps in managing the business.
