Cookies: 5 stars. Love the texture and flavor. Customer service: –5 stars. I’ve had Keiths cookies before and loved eating them. When I was able to get my hands on the ½ off hot deals special, I thought I’d be a happy camper in cookie land. So not true. When we drove to the bakery/factory, there wasn’t much signage and the hours were not posted. On our 3rd attempt, they were open. Yay! That didn’t last long. The tall asian man that was helping us was such a grouch. He actually yelled at us because I wanted to combine(which what was stated on the certificate). He slammed his drawers and anything that he could come in contact with. Just dumped my cookies on the counter and walked away, no smile, no thank you, no come again… Because of this incident, I stopped buying and eating Keith’s cookies. This guy needs a huge lesson in the aloha spirit.

After trying so many different Hawaiian cookie companies this was definitely one of the best. Taste, quality and price were on point. Sampled an assortment and ended up buying the Lilikoi Shortbread at the Farmers Market, they were delicious!!! Pretty addicting actually. Definitely enjoyed them and hope to grab a few more bags before leaving Hawaii.

5 stars for the mochiko shortbread cookies! actually had them years ago for the first time at the KC farmers market. I’ve been longing for them ever since then. Happened by Longs CVS while I was in Honolulu last week. Spied the cookie jar on the shelf and noticed a sale sign. Score! buttery, flavorful goodness. so happy my niece packed a few for the airplane ride home. I assume going to the factory is just as delightful.

Disclosure: I have NOT been to the store, but I really want to go before I leave Honolulu! I tried the Mochiko Shortbread… UMMMMMM…HELLO!!! DELISH! I LOVE shortbread… I didn’t realize that shortbread cookies are everywhere here… goodness! I love that KC shortbread are so dense and thick. I put them in the freezer(because I love frozen cookies) and they were absolutely amazing! I didn’t give KC5 stars because I haven’t been to the store, but I am definitely a fan!

Someone left a bag of KC macadamia nut cookies. They were excellent. The only bad thing is I chomped on pieces of what were dark(shell fragments) pieces that nearly cracked my teeth. it happened to both cookies and mad me chew in slow bites. I recently purchased a ½ off certificate for Keith’s cookies and since I had the day off I thought it would be a good opportunity to check the place out. Keith’s cookies is the kind of straight from the factory place where you buy omiyagi for co workers. Parking: The parking lot entrance is located right before Chevron and when I went(around lunch time on a friday) the drive was was super packed with a bunch of construction looking trucks double parking. I eventually ended up parking on Gulick street and walking into the parking lot. Atmosphere: Your basically walking straight into the factory. Don’t expect much. You basically have a counter with some jars and bags of cookies and a register. Service: I didn’t have to wait to get help at all. Basically it looks like the main guy(maybe keith?) is the guy who works the register and everyone else cooks. I went on a friday mainly because i’m not sure what the hours is. The place totally seems like a M-F 7 – 4 kind of feel. Cost: So i’m not 100% sure what else they have but basically they have bags and jars of various cookies. The bags run $ 8.50 for 16oz and the jars go $ 11.50 for 22oz. This place does often have ½ off certificates(kitv deal center & tippr) so be sure to do a google search before you go. IF you do buy any of the ½ certs be sure to note that although the certs say that they are combinable Keith will only let you combine them if your buying a case(6 bags worth). Food: My initial plan was to buy a bag of cookies as a xmas gift. After letting it sit for an hour I couldn’t resist but open the bags. The cookies were delicious. I choose the chocolate mac nut cookies. Be warned this short bread type cookies are pretty thick. Overall: I’m 100% satisfied with my purchase. Sure I got a ½ certificate from tippr which made my $ 8 bag of cookies turn into $ 5 but it was still good. When I went the selection wasn’t super extensive but was good enough for me. Hopefully i’ll have some will power and buy another bag as a xmas gift for the office.

We love Keith’s shortbread more than tourists’ fave Honolulu Cookies. We got our first bag of Keith’s cookies(Kona Delight Shortbread) from Dole’s Plantation and we are now going to order some more online:) Among all flavors, I love the Kona Delight Shortbread most — it’s flavorful and not too sweet — love it!

I had a care package request for Keith’s Cookies; not knowing where they were sold retail, I went down to the factory in Kalihi. There, I picked up the oatmeal cranberry pecan, chocolate chip macadamia, pineapple shortbread and mochiko shortbread — some for myself despite the several prepackaged free samples I’d already been offered. Good overall — in particular, I really liked the mochiko shortbread — but not really worth the drive to seek out. Also, IMHO, oatmeal cookies should be chewy. And, if it takes a little effort to snap a cookie in half, then it shouldn’t be as thick as most of the ones they make here. Probably, they’re good for dipping, but I assume that was not intended. As such, I’m deducting a ½ star down from 3 and ½.

My mom got me some of thse from Hawaii. I got the Oatmeal, Cranberries & Pecans cookies. I have a hard time stopping myself from eating them. Delicious. I’m sure it has a lot of calories but it doesn’t taste overly sweet like some cookies, and the texture is good.

pros… once again, if i’m here then that means i’m in hawaii! great place to get some hawaiian style cookies. my dad loves these cookies, they have a special one, shortbread and rice flour macadamia cookies. just getting to the old hole in the wall place was fun. the smell was fantastic. they also have a wide variety of cookies to choose from. and when you speak to the lady you get the real pidgen speak of hawaii, yu no, yah? don’t forget the samples, yah? deh give you a lot, yah? mahalo! cons…it was pretty far from where we were staying and it was in the not so nice part… less then paradise. they don’t take credit cards so bring cash and lots of it, cause you will be buying all sorts of flavor, yah?
