Found this place when I was in need of a good cup of coffee and food. The one gal that was behind the counter was super nice. If I’m ever in this neck of the woods I’ll stop by again

After finding this place on Unilocal, because I was looking for coffee, I attempted to go but they were closed, with no indication outside or on Unilocal. I passed by the next day, and the whole place was closed, it was Presidents’ Day, so this is probably why. I’m giving it 3 stars because their home décor was super cute, and upon walking inside, realizing the coffee was closed, I kept walking around intrigued by their merchandise belonging to the other store beyond the coffee space.

Morning Glass has the best coffee in Honolulu. Quality coffees that are ground to order. IMHO, Ted is one of the best baristas in Hawaii. He always makes an awesome cup of coffee! Great low key location– beats the chaos of Starbucks any day of the week. And the prices are reasonable. The parking here can be a bit tricky at times. But the coffee is as good as you’d find in San Francisco or Seattle.

This place only gets 3 stars because I haven’t been able to try their coffee yet. I woke up one Saturday morning and walked to their location, only to find out it’s closed on weekends… just a heads up.

A couple of steps away from my barre class, this is a definite stop on my list of morning routines. I’m in love with their coffee, especially their pastries and sandwiches. The baristas are always so friendly and easy to talk to. I’d say their only drawback is the lack of parking and places to sit. This is definitely a place to grab and go, not to sit and lounge the day away studying.

Awesome space and coffee! I really enjoyed the vibe and the friendly baristas. Nice place just to hang out and chill.

Ted is the greatest barista alive. Grab a cold brew to wake your ass up in the middle of the day. I heart you, Morning Glass Kakaako– but can we please please please bring back the pickles? The end.

I absolutely adore Morning Glass. Matter of fact I’m always complaining to my friends that we don’t have one near the airport and it makes me sad. I miss cool little coffee shops from back home that I feel at «home» in. I’ve went to the Manoa location quite a few times. Their Cinnamon Latte reminds me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. Yum! Brings me back to my college days when I would eat cereal and cram for exams. I have to say I have not been in Fishcake before and I loved looking around here as well. Win. Win. Wish I would of came at lunch though because the sandwiches are amazing. I did grab a banana lilikoi scone. Amazing as always. The parking option stinks here. I prefer the other location for that, however I will be back because Morning Glass is EPIC. =)

Coffee is divine, best I have had since my last trip to Boston! Pastries are irresistible and worth the indulgence.

I came here for the first time a few days ago and ordered a green tea latte. I can confidently say I enjoyed it! I really like the ambience of this place compared to a lot of the other cafes I’ve been to in Hawaii. The only downside of this place is that seating is limited, although it wasn’t filled when I went. I guess since the café is in a store, they can’t take up too much space. Overall, it’s a great place, love the vibe, and definitely will come back during the summer!

The first time I was here I had the salame sandwich, scone and mocha. Pretty good! The second time I went I had the snickerdoodle cookie, ginger snap cookie, chocolate matcha scone and an iced coffee… ok, I’m a fan now :)

This second location of Morning Glass is not a full restaurant like the original in Manoa. You have to know it’s located inside Fishcake, because they don’t have a big sign, and parking is limited to a few stalls in the loading area in front of the store and on the street. If you’re in the area, you can get a coffee, tea, or other drinks, like handcrafted sodas. They also have a small selection of pre-made sandwiches and baked goods. Plan to take out. There really isn’t any seating except for a few stools at the coffee bar. This is an okay place to grab a snack to go.

Having visited the main location in Manoa I found myself driving to the other location when in the Kakaako area only to find that I would pass it driving by since I didn’t know what I was looking for. Apparently the café is located within Fishcake, a home furnishing store. Being that as it may, I found parking much more difficult here than in the Manoa location as it is mainly street parking and during the day this is pretty packed. The pourovers and pastries are much the same as found at the Manoa location, serving up Stumptown and Sightglass coffees. As with the main location the brews were consistent and the staff friendly and polite. As with the other location, I will find myself back here time to time when I am back on the island.

I went to morning glass coffee + café for the fish market pop-up stores. The event was amazing. But what I loved was their Browned Butter(or is it sugar?) Rice Krispy Treat!!! It was so delicious! I highly recommend anyone trying that delicious but fulfilling treat! I also had an iced caramel latte it was delicious and so satisfactory. They have coffees from different parts of the world and there are just so many delicious options! I recommend you to try it out. I’ve been to the main location in Manoa and that is equally as amazing if not more. The difficulty is that this café is in Fishcake and the parking is difficult with side street parking and not much else. But you could always park at Ward by SuperCuts perhaps and just walk over. It’s so close!

Stumptown roast. Period. When I’m craving a fantastic latte with this Portland grown coffee(pretty much everyday), Morning Glass is the only place I can think of in town that has it. Then you have Ryan who makes a fantastic iced latte shaken, not stirred. All the barristas are great though. So friendly and easy going. Aside from the top notch coffee, MG has THE best scones. Crispy on the outside, soft inside, delicious, and made with fresh fruits, these are hard to resist. The flavors do change, so you just have to see what’s there. Most recent one I had was the strawberry with lemon glaze. To Die For. The hours are late for a coffee shop(8am open), but no biggie. When they’re open I’m there! NOW open 8am on Saturday!(11⁄2014) Parking is right in front of the shop(Box Jelly and Fishcake). The coffee bar is inside Fishcake. No tables and chairs except for 2 at the bar counter, but no biggie as you have to move your car anyway.

Three words: Apple slab pie. That is all… Just kidding, but in all seriousness, the apple slab pie will blow your mind! Located inside Fishcake, Morning Glass offers great coffee drinks, sandwiches and an assortment of desserts. I’ve recently stopped drinking coffee and decided to grab a salami sandwich($ 7) for lunch. The sandwich was filled with salami, provolone cheese, and arugula, all served on a fantastic flatbread. Then I noticed the spiced apple slab pie($ 4) and my intuition told me this would be worth the calorie consumption. This is my new favorite pastry for several reasons. Crust is perfect, apples are dripping in spices and it has just the right amount of tartness. Parking is sparse so be sure to carpool or find a stall on the street.

I never paid attention to this place before but came for mid-week breakfast with my bosses. It’s a very cute, homey and popular breakfast haunt so be prepared to wait in line for a table and your order. Is it worth it to wait around? If you’re not in a hurry and you like your company, than yes. I had a frittata that morning and a cup of coffee, all was made with care and taste. I really wanted to try some of the other pastries but since we came later in the morning(about 9am), most of the yummy stuff was sold out. A good sign that things are homemade and not mass produced. My recap: Pros: –great neighborhood café feel –good and freshly prepared food and pastries; –welcoming and casual atmosphere, because it’s kind of an outdoor patio setting, people had their pets and strollers on the outside tables. –friendly service –Small private parking lot –Ideal for a casual and/or intimate breakfast Cons: –It’s a really, really small space so table seating is not guaranteed. Not a good place to bring a group of people. –Breakfast items will sell out quickly

I LOVE that Morning Glass Coffee returned to Kakaako after closing their doors at R&D early this year. I thought I’d have to trek deep within Manoa to get my favorite latte. No no no! This particular Morning Glass shares their space with Fishcake. The coffee continues to be excellent and the baristas are friendly. Unfortunately, parking is a struggle, aside from a couple stools there are no dine-in seating, they open late and close early, and they don’t offer the full menu you find at the Manoa location. Actually, they make their food at the Manoa location so the pastries and sandwiches are transported down, which means they are only available until they run out. Just order your cup of joe and wander around Fishcake and check out the artsy and hipster furniture pieces. I’m giving them 3 stars because I’m caffeine happy right now!

Morning Glass in my work-hood! I’m a big fan of their coffee and treats, so this newly minted spot is definitely going to get repeat business from me. It’s a tiny set-up: purely a grab-and-go type affair(perfect for office dwellers, not so much for those looking for a study spot). A small section of parking fronts the store. The main drawback is the opening time of 8am; too late for me to make it a daily routine, but a nice break on days when I can take a longer coffee pilgrimage. All in all, a welcome addition to the area — and a way for me to get my Morning Glass fix without having to wrestle the crowds at their ever-popular Manoa location!

No way! Morning Glass is now here in town! It’s located inside the cool and sleek«fishcake», furniture store. If you been to their coffee shop in Manoa, then you know how awesome their coffee and desserts are! I’m so happy it’s so close to work now. If you haven’t visited«fishcake» before, you should go grab a cup of coffee at Morning Glass and browse around. I guarantee something will catch your eyes.
