Medical Corner the Acute Care Medical Services

The Medical Corner in Waikiki is not closed. Went in yesterday (12÷6÷10) to get myself a physical. Pretty standard for a clinic, tiny and effective without costing TOO much.
Its a clinic in Waiks, what can you expect? I am just happy they didn’t have to brush a roach off anything before I sat down. The staff was about as friendly as a clinic staff can be. Again, what do you expect? These are people that deal with sick, angry folk that are far from any affluence and angry that they don’t live in Canada where health care is Kama a’ina.
Nothing here is really ‘shiny’ or new for that matter, but hey, I don’t have health insurance… yet, and if you’re anything like me, once you get yourself some, you wont be coming back to a place like this.
The GOOD: I got a physical and a TB shot for about $ 100… Which is the best you can find in Waiks without health insurance and without having to go in a dark alley to meet up with a ‘guy’ that will give you a great price (unless you’re looking for a prostate exam).
The BAD: No real parking, you park where Wailana Coffee house is and they only validate for 30 minutes, which, for a clinic is ridiculous because anything medical related always takes an hour+.
Overall: I was in and out within 75minutes. When parking down stairs its best to just say that you are going to Wailana, and then get yourself something to eat afterwards because Wailana validates for 2 hours and its only 50 cents. Will I return? I hope not.
