Great place l… Haircuts are nice and customer service is excellent… I showed her a picture in my phone and she mimicked it exactly how I wanted… This will be my barber until my departure on 4÷10÷16

I visit Honolulu once or twice a year– from now on Kathy at McCully Barber is going to be a regular stop. I got a #1 medium fade with 1 ¼″ scissor trim on top. Her precision is flawless. My adult son got a #3 buzz all over, tapered high – both of us walked out of there STOKEDANDSTYLIN’! Kathy was professional and friendly, we recommend without reservation.

Cathy is the best. She is not the owner people, Rose is. Cathy always keeps her appointments, which is big in my book.

My haircuts are straightforward and should be simple. #2 on the sides and back, and leave it just long enough on the back so my stiff hair doesn’t stick up. This seems to be a challenge for many places but not at McCully Barber Shop. It doesn’t matter which one of the ladies is cutting my hair. They all do a great job. The biggest challenge here is parking. I’d suggest trying Waiola Street or Wiliwili Street. Take a look at my profile pic to see an example of their work.

Pros + I have been coming to this place for haircut for the past 9 years. $ 12 plus tax for a man’s haircut. It’s cheap and reliable. + They also do women’s haircut, styling and coloring + A small barber shop with 2 chairs and 2 female barbers /stylists. Friendly staff. + Before becoming a regular here, I have tried several other salons or barber shops. This is the only place that consistently did a good job for me. Cons — This is no expensive full-service salon. But if you want reliable and affordable haircut, this is the place. — Street parking only. I usually have no problem finding street parking within 2 blocks in the Moiliili residential neighborhood.

I go here because it’s only 12 bucks and I used to live accross the street. They’re very friendly and I’ve never had any problems. Nothing fancy, so it’s the type of place I’d rather go. Vietnamese people are good barbers. They just are.

I’ve been getting my cuts here for 4 years. $ 12.00 for a nicely done men’s cut. Rarely does one have to wait for service. All of the barbers(several ladies) are friendly.

This is where I normally bring my children for a haircut. The owner, Kathy, is a very kind Vietnamese woman, and my kids have always felt real comfortable with her. The other thing that makes the haircut special, is that a few blocks away on Waiola street, is Waiola Shave Ice. So the kids get a double feature: A haircut and a shave ice.
