How Do I give no stars? I’m so upset I had to create an account to let all the other customers know, First I want to say that I’m a very loyal customer to mac, this is not the first time I’ve came here. I always have my husband come to purchase my makeup essentials. The girl that usually helps my husband would leave suggestions as to what else I may like. Her name on the paper was Christie. I have never once return anything from Mac. Although recently, one of the few products gave me a skin reaction. I personally came in to return the item since I had a meeting right by. This girl that was helping me kept drilling me with questions as to why, who, what, when, I had my reaction like she was some kind of detective. She kept on insisting to me that it may not have been the product and that I should just keep it n return it after since they don’t resell it after. N that even if I want to use it up or not I might as well try it n return later. My gosh I had never had such horrible service before. hello ! Didn’t I just tell her that I had an reaction n she is telling me they don’t resell n for me to try it??! That shouldn’t be my issue kus my issue is my skin reaction I had ! She then started stating the dates I had bought them like that even mattered. I never came in sooner kus my face was swollen ! Oh n this story is so ironic because just then, her co worker comes in to work n says«hello Christie«to her. Wow!. How rude I guess she only is extra nice when customers buy but soon as you have a problem like a reaction to the product she will give you a whole interrogation of questions and make you feel stupid as she looks mad telling you why it may not be the products to blame. 10’minutes passes as I insisted I needed to return the product, she finally returns me my money. Reminding you that afterwards it was jus awkward silence from her. I didn’t say more after kus i was so upset. When I got home I told my husband that I met the girl that left suggestions for me on the paper and that she was nothing but rude. Now we purchase online kus whenever we try going there she is always working.

I’ve had some bad experiences at MAC with getting my makeup done but i recently had a wonderful experience with the best makeup artist I’ve ever met! Her name is Christie(not too confident about the spelling) she is SOOO beyond sweet & super personable! I hate getting my makeup done by someone who doesn’t really bother to make conversation, because it just gets boring & id rather just leave. She was the only one working that day so she had warned me if customers came in she’d need to help them & then return to me when she was done. Obviously that’s no problem considering I wouldn’t just let customers be ignored. It took a while to finish up my makeup but I really wasn’t in a rush anyway! I could’ve stayed to talk to her all night! I showed her a picture of what I wanted & she turned it into something absolutely fabulous! One thing I really liked was how good she is at putting on eyelashes. My eyes are very sensitive, therefore every time a fake lash goes on my eyes it tears up super bad. When she did it, it felt like nothing! My eyes didn’t tear up at all & I couldn’t even feel it on my eyes. I honestly could not stop looking at my eye makeup. It was absolutely beautiful! She’s also VERY knowledgeable about all the products & about makeup application. She gave me a couple of tips here & there, which I really appreciated. If you’re going to a MAC cosmetics store for anything… you must see her! I live way closer to Ala Moana but I’d much rather make the drive out to Kahala Mall to be serviced by Christi! She is now the only person I want doing my makeup! AWESOMEEXPERIENCE!!!

Went in to purchase new foundation and was told to buy the pro long wear… within 2 hours it looked absolutely disgusting. Thick and caked on. Went in, had make up done by consultant and purchased 3 more products(including new foundation). I was told to just bring in the original foundation in and they would return as long as I brought the card I purchased with. Made a 3rd trip in and was told they«couldn’t verify my purchase and would not return». I was a loyal MAC customer, but will be going to another company now. DONOTBUYWHATTHEYRECOMMEND!!! I usually dread going to mac because they have the worse customer service and no one ever wants to help me because they think I won’t buy anything. For the first time ever I went to this location in macys at Kahala mall. When I first arrived there were two girls working, one of them who was helping a customer. The other was doing a customers makeup. The makeup artist who was doing the customer makeup greeted me(even though she was busy) & shortly asked me if I needed help. I asked her for a compact and she rung me up. I left quickly because I was in a rush. Once I got home I noticed I had asked for the wrong compact(because I was rushing) I went back a few hours later. The same girl who helped me was there and was very friendly about doing my exchange. I even brought my mac containers to recycle them. I was so clueless to what color lipstick I wanted. The makeup artist then helped me and was very knowledgeable and friendly. I was so happy with the service! !! Her name is Alex!!! Thank you Alex for your great service!

This is my go-to MAC location. The artists here do an amazing job at not only up-selling, but finding the make-up that is custom to your lifestyle. For example, I don’t contour and I know little to nothing about the method. Yet I was going to go gung-ho and try buying all the essentials. Foundation, which I never use, a highlighting product and a contouring product. Crazy make-up lady alert! Instead of just trying to make the commission of a sale, the person showed me how I could use things I was already wearing, like the matte eyeshadow I use for my brow, for cheek shadowing. I appreciated the help in making sense of things.

I stopped by this MAC location to recycle my old make up.(Trade in 6 old products for 1 new lipstick.) As I was going through the lipstick case, the lady was really nice and helpful and asked if I was interested in the lipstick I was holding — Candy Yum Yum.(She said, Pink Pigeon though.) I said its Candy Yum Yum and she talked about a pink pigeon again. So I made my decision — Ruby Woo and of course Candy Yum Yum and some eye brow liner. She asked me again if I wanted Pink Pigeon and I said no Candy Yum Yum. She said she’ll look to see if they have it. So she rings up my exchange and when I get home — there goes that damn pink pigeon in my bag. So freaking irritating lol. She must have been super set on giving me that Pink Pigeon. She was really nice so they get four stars. I just wished she paid attention more. The other worker also showed me a product very similar to one of the items I recycled so I was kinda happy to find a replacement.

I love this MAC store! I live close to Kahala Mall and stop by sometimes to ask specific questions regarding my makeup choices. I prefer to order offline so I usually do not purchase in store, but they are always willing to answer my questions and are so friendly! I have never been pressured to purchase something I did not want to and have learned so much more about the makeup that I buy. I love it and the girls are always so sweet!

I’ve usually had really great experiences at MAC. It’s not my preferred place to buy make up, but when I have gone, I’ve always been treated with respect and have left with quality product. A group of us were walking around Kahala mall at about 12:30pm today and one of my friends stopped at the beautiful MAC counter at Macy’s to have a few questions answered about some make up she had purchased. She left without her questions answered and it was a common feeling in our group that the MAC sales girl just didn’t care about my friend’s questions. Do you ever get that annoying feeling when a salesperson doesn’t feel like you’re worth his or her time? This was one of those annoying moments. It doesn’t matter how amazing the products are, if the sales people are going to be rude and unhelpful and make you feel like you’re not worth their time, I’m going to walk the 30FT into Macy’s to buy makeup at any of the other make up company counters in Macy’s.

First things first, I don’t live in Hawaii.(DON’T STOPREADINGMYREVIEW!!!) I’ve never even been! I would love to go someday, and when I get the opportunity, I will be stopping by this MAC. I live in New York City. I found myself in a MAJAH dilemma this past week. I was unable to get my hands on an item I had been coveting from the RiRi Hearts MAC Fall Collection I called Saturday night and spoke to the sweetest, most professional young woman I have ever had the pleasure of speaking to by the name of Rebekah. *Hawaii residents: She was an absolute gem over the phone! I’m sure she’d be able to help you out in anyway over the phone or in person.* I asked her if this MAC location did phone orders and if they did, would they ship to NY? To my surprise, she said YES! Then the question that really mattered, Did they have the item I wanted? And YES, YES they did! She told me that she would be happy to place the order for me. When I tell you I checked every MAC in my city, I called MAC’s in FL, OR, even TX for crying out loud — AND nothing! *I know, all of this for some makeup? How lame! BUT it’s not, I PROMISE!* I spent about 10 – 15 mins. on the phone with her giving her all of my information. She was patient, answered all of my questions, and she’s the reason I finally got what I had been searching everywhere for! I have been to various MAC’s in New York City, I even reviewed one of them and gave it 1 star. I mentioned in my review that customer service at MAC is NONEXISTENT. Well, not at this MAC location — 4,907 miles away!!! I don’t know ANYTHING about this MAC location or its employees, but what I do know and have is my own personal experience. Rebekah was extremely nice, and did not sound pretentious or bothered by me at all. She was a great help and is pretty much the reason my makeup bag is going to shine bright this Fall!(no pun intended) Thank you Rebekah! Hawaii, you’re awesome. MACCOSMETICS — Give this woman a RAISE! $$$$$
