Lucoral Museum

Really good, informative museum for people who are interested in pearls and corals. It was a really short tour inside. Probably got over in 5 – 10 mins. Very small place. But I have never seen how a coral looks and what those beads are made from. So it was fascinating for me. Then at then end, there was this nice lady who explained about pearl and coral jewelry, how to identify good quality pearls, corals etc. They also have a small gift area where they have a few collections of pearl necklaces and coral jewelry. They have them at a much more reasonable price than the show rooms like maui divers and na hoku. Overall this was a great find and I enjoyed the 1.5 hours I spent inside. If you are into jewelry, I would first recommend to check in here before going to the expensive show rooms.
One thing is they are not a typical showroom, so not very organized with the displays. So just expect that when u enter the gift shop area. But they sell the real deal.
Also, they only have fresh water pearls and not sea water pearls. Their pearls are from Taiwan and corals are from Hawaii and Taiwan.

If you love arts and crafts, then you’ll certainly enjoy checking out this really nice and small museum in Waikiki on Kuhio Avenue. Not much is mentioned about the Lucoral Museum in general, but there are lots of artifacts, paintings, and other history behind Hawaiian pearls. It’s open Monday thru Friday from 9 AM — 5 PM. The outside could be mistaken for an apartment complex.
