I love this place. They always come through when we need food and no decisions are made. I ordered 4 meals and it was ready and hot in less than 10 minutes. The staff are all friendly and always smiling. Good food, good service, solid menu. You can’t go wrong with fried rice, BBQ Mixed plate, or the Salt and Pepper Pork chops. Highly recommended if you are lazy to cook for your family but still love them to not get mcdonalds.

While visiting we wanted some local cuisine and were directed here. I had the Ox tail soup which was seasoned well. The small meaty bones and mushrooms were a bit chewy for my taste and there weren’t as many pieces as I had hoped for, but there was plenty of rice that came with it. The they were a bit skimpy on the cabbage as well, but the peanuts gave the soup an interesting bonus. I could only eat half of my meal. My Husband had the spicy orange chicken which I tasted and it was very good as well, but not spicy at all. The typical noodle salad that came with it was a bit bland to me. He only ate half of his meal as well. $ 21.00 for two people seemed a bit pricey for food from a tiny place in a shopping center but we had enough leftovers for a second meal. We brought our own drinks because I knew we had to pay for refills on their drinks. I would definitely go back but I’d try something else like the shrimp fried rice or another specialty.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review about this place with the number of times I order from them! Lol I normally get their salt and pepper pork chops! It’s so delicious! Tender, just enough breading and it just has the right amount of seasoning/flavor!!! I also get their steak and shrimp plate and it’s also very good. Steak is almost always cooked right. Overall, the food here is very good. I highly recommend this place!!!

I’ve had the Mochiko mini plate and the oxtail soup. Both were above average for a plate lunch place. Ambiance is casual plate lunch joint. The prices are reasonable. A good value. Service is prompt and friendly. A solid four stars.

I recently ordered a $ 500plus catering order this weekend for 8 large platters of food. Everything was delicious but don’t expect them to go an extra mile to help you with your order. We had to haul all of the platters(one by one) to our car, which if you can imagine parking is always scarce there so it’s a distance from restaurant to vehicle but one of the platters wasn’t snug enough or the food was too big for the size platter so all of the juices from the platter leaked out and got all over my dress that I was wearing to my daughter’s bday party. They don’t call to confirm your order or help you with it, oh & you cannot sample any of the stuff even if you are spending money to have them cater for you. It’s more of a self serve than a cater so I would opt out from using them for any major function.

I ordered bbq chicken with brown rice. I waited 40 minutes but it was clear that they had forgotten about me. I got a refund and left. I will not be back as long as they charge for refills. Soda costs restaurants a couple cents per cup, and they’re charging $ 1.75 for a medium and 50 cents for refills. I don’t mind paying $ 15 a meal for fast casual food, but I absolutely will not pay for refills.

I loved the crab Ragoon. They were nice and got and the sweet and sour sauce was a nice touch. I also had the spicy shrimp which had a touch of garlic and I substituted the macaroni salad for veggies. It was delicious. My friend ordered the shrimp and pork fried rice and he loved it and kept bragging about the taste.

My favorite is the deep fried mahi mahi. I have to remember to come be 8pm, if not, it won’t be fresh!

This was our first meal in Oahu and it was really amazing! The BBQ chicken was amazing and so was the chicken katsu. I would definitely order a mini if you don’t want a ton of food because the regular plates could probably feed 2. My only criticism of this place is you have to pay 50 cents for soda refills.

We order here pretty regularly. My husband always gets his Loco Moco fix and the kiddos their Mochiko Chicken fix. I personally love their Salt and a Pepper Pork. I am not a fan of pork, but after seeing so many rave about it, I thought I’d try it. Definitely a must try!!! Cooked just right with just the right amount of breading and seasoning. Some may call it spicy, I just think it has a small kick(of course that could be the Korean in me coming out). My other go to is their Garlic Ahi, so yum!!! It’s never been over cooked and the seasoning… yes please!!! As far as the Loco Moco, it nothing spectacular but satisfies the hubby’s craving. The Mochiko is very yummy as well, although can get on the bready side. If you want something quick for dinner, definitely stop in here and definitely try their salt and pepper pork… there’s a reason so many people mention it!!!

The employees are always friendly and quick. No matter how busy they are the food is always good and the line is never long. I love the kalua pork and bbq chicken plates and look forward to trying other dishes!

I absolutely LOVE their steak salad. The steak is so juicy and tender. I wish they included more but it only makes me savor each bite until the end. They have steak sauce available for it but u really don’t need it. It’s seasoned perfectly and no other ingredients are necessary. The salad bed it the perfect mix of lettuce, tomatoes and carrot strips. I highly recommend it!

Our entire family is obsessed with this place. We get dinner here pretty often, have gotten breakfast here, and had them cater my son’s birthday party. All the guests at the party LOVED it. My favorite things — kalua pork & cabbage, salt & pepper pork chops, shrimp fried rice, orange spicy chicken, chicken katsu, and the breakfast fried rice with egg on top. Their fried rice is seriously the best I’ve ever had, not just on the island but ever — and that’s kind of my go-to thing to order from any Asian or Hawaiian restaurant I enter. So I always pay extra for the fried rice as a side. I’m really surprised this place doesn’t have a higher rating, because I can’t say enough good things about it. The food is quality, yet it’s very quick & convenient to order it. Definitely my favorite place to go for take-out.

I was a little skeptical when we came here at first, but we wanted something different for dinner so we said«why not?». So we went and it is a very casual place, you order your food, you wait for your number to be called, then you sit down and chow down, just as any other loco moco. I remember we got the garlic chicken and also the fish. Both good, but nothing spectacular. I feel like the prices aren’t too bad either. Definitely an ok to try something different if you are in the mood.

The garlic Mahi is the da bomb. I also like their chicken katsu. Today I chose the beef curry. All choices are good here and good price. Parking is so so but can get busy during lunch hours.

I love this place for katsu. They give sooo much and the taste is just perfect. So crunchy. I asked for two scoops mac salad and only one scoop rice for the regular plate. Nice and accomodating staff… and they carry huge almond cookies :) Onlyyy downside is location. Parking is terrible and don’t even think about coming here during the lunch rush. I once ended up at the drive-thru because parking was thaaat bad. But i won’t dock a star because it’s not their fault ;D

For a plate lunch place Loco Moco satisfies. I LOVE the garlic mahi and salt and pepper pork chop! The mahi is soft and flavored with a good amount of garlic. You will need some gum afterwards but you will not regret it. I usually get it with all toss salad so that it’s healthier. The salt pepper pork chop is deep fried to perfection. It seems to delicious to be at loco moco but it is! Other faves include: beef stew bowl, chinese chicken salad, and oxtail soup. Overall, for bang for your buck and to get decent plate lunch food Loco Moco hits the spot.

I’m a fan for one thing, the salt and pepper pork chops. The only thing I get at this Loco Moco otherwise I don’t really get local plate lunches here or at any Loco Moco. It’s odd, I know you’d think that I would eat a lot of local plate lunches, but by living here so long you too, would get tired of it all. They’re small, next to the korean BBQ place in Moanalua Shopping Center. It’s across from Panda Express. They’re the size of the average Loco Moco. They accept cards and cash. They cater. They have drinks. The people are nice enough to give you suggestions. But the salt and pepper pork chops are just so good! It’s what you would expect out of a normal pork chop but with spice. I mean it might not seem that difficult to make but it’s so yummy. I’ve ordered a pan of it, twice. Every time everyones love it. It always gets eaten up really quick. I just really suggest you try the salt and pepper pork chops. I’m not sure all of the loco mocks have the same specialties aside from the basic menu.

I had a rather unappetizing experience at another Loco Moco location a few days ago but after doing some more research fellow«Yeeps» lead me here with the knowledge that I wouldn’t run out of here with the same experience as the other location. *high five* The location is pretty big, very clean and the menu was pretty expansive with a daily special selection. I also liked that you could substitute brown rice for your white rice(for a charge), and that they offer the«mini» plates as well. I ordered the Mini Garlic Ahi and got a soda and my meal came out to less than $ 8 if I’m not mistaken. I took my order to go and when they handed me my bag I was shocked at how heavy my «mini» felt. When I opened my food there was a very nice sized portion of ahi, a scoop of rice, and a scoop of mac salad. The ahi was not as garlicy as I had hoped, but they also included a slice of lemon and some tartar sauce so with the lemon I was able to jazz up the fish a bit(in fairness when a recipe calls for 3 garlic cloves I add 6 – 9 so it was probably plenty garlicy). Parking in this lot is hit or miss depending on what time of day you go.
