I ordered the teriyaki steak or what we call teriyaki beef(see photo). It was actually pretty decent for drive in fare. The meat was not tough and the teriyaki sauce was decent. It was a bit on the salty side but that is to be expected for Teri beef plate. The rice was a bit on the soggy side but at least it was not hard like at some drive ins. The macaroni salad was actually okay. It was the typical macaroni and mayonnaise dish we know locally as mac salad. You get two large slices of beef teriyaki, two scoops rice and a scoop of mac salad. The meat is placed on a small bed of chopped cabbage which added a nice touch. For about 8 dollars you get an ample meal. I give this place three stars because the price of the soda is a bit on the pricey side and their cola was not quite right. The best I can describe it is that it had like a li hing flavor to it. If they change their prices in their soda I’d bump their offerings to four stars. On a side note, why is this placed called a «drive-inn»? It is definitely not an inn, lodging or tavern. I notice that some restaurants use this term quite loosely. I think that the term«drive-in» has been misspelled and become a normal term much like how many tellers call safe deposit boxes«safety deposit boxes». What is «safety» about safe boxes? Just go to any local bank and you’ll know what I mean. Just saying.

NEVERJUDGE A BOOKBYITSCOVER!!! The outside doesn’t look the cleanest, but the food is amazing, the speed is superb and accuracy is great! They only take cash! Keep that in mind. I called in an order(grilled mahi mahi) and within less than 10 minutes it was ready and soooooooo super delicious! Hamburger steak and bbq chicken is good too!

Real small L&L branch tucked away on the Ewa end of Dillingham Plaza. There’s only a handful of tables & if you come during lunch time don’t expect any open. The menu is not much different then other L&Ls. There is no pork cutlet at this branch. The wait isn’t too bad when it’s busy.

I always avoided most L&L Drive Inns and particularly this one because it looks shady and dirty from the outside. But one day my co-workers wanted to eat something different since we always eat lunch at the same places and we are tired of them. One suggested L&L and I was game. For $ 7 something, I got a heaping plate of crispy, delicious chicken katsu with rice and mac salad. It was huge! Lots and lots of chicken and the sauce was really yummy. I couldn’t even finish my plate. The service was fast. I’d come here again if I am in the area to try the rest of their menu. Can’t judge a book by its cover.

Prolly one of the cheapest L&L on the island. Good value and the food is always tasty. The only problem is the dine in is small and not as clean as other places. Plus the customer service sucks. I was ordering food and the lady was just on her phone while taking my order… Ummmm okay awkward

I came here to get one thing, the«Loco Moco» a friend of mine here in NY is from the Big Island and he said I had to try it. Well, it’s the most insane idea for a meal! However, it tasted good. Only a stoned surfer could come up with taking a beef patty w/gravy and adding sticky rice, and pasta salad then adding a fried egg on top. I asked the girl behind the counter, «how do you eat this» she said«Just mix it all together, baby» I did and oddly enough, i liked it :)

One of the Best L&L’s on the Island hands down! I go to a lot of them and they really take care of the customers here. Beware lunch time is busy so if you can call your order ahead of time. They have both indoor and out door seating so you should be able to find your flavor of seating. I would recommend the Korean Fried Chicken and ask to have it chopped up.

God — the lunch plates are great here. And the mac salad is the best I had in Honolulu. Small seating area, but fast service and great food. Loco Moco is so big you can’t finish it in one go. Great deep tasting gravy

Only tried the beef curry at this location so far, great flavor but meat sometimes chewy. French fries is just the way I like it when made fresh.
