Pretty decent price for a bentos. Food is so expensive in Waikiki, it’s nice to have an affordable bento place for good amount of food. I think the owner, Kim who works as cashier is super nice. My co-worker introduce me to this bento. The are other items too so it’s similar to 7-eleven.

BENTOSANDCATERING. Their prices are modest and they have decent hours of pick up. This place was formerly known as Akyth. Cash or check only. FOOD Their menu consists of bentos, sushi, and pretty much every local catering pan you can think of from chicken, kalbi, to tempura. With the new name, it seems to be more of a mix of local Japanese and Korean foods. ENVIRONMENT Located in the beginning of Kalihi in between Jollibee’s and Tamashiro Market. It’s the street next to the Chevron. As you drive down the industrial lane it will be on your left hand side with a small hand written sign on the fenced covered parking. This is strictly take out/pick up. You basically wait outside their kitchen area to pay and pick up your food. Yup, it’s pretty ghetto, but the prices are nice. SERVICE Good. They are very nice on the phone also. I was able to order about 10 bentos about 2 hours before the game. So that was awesome! CONCLUSION I gave four stars because the food probably isn’t the greatest, but the prices are a bargain! Great place to get bentos for the kids or if you have an event or a potluck. I always come here to get keiki bentos for my son’s snack sign up. The kids(and parents) love the bentos!

The old AKYTH with same good food. A catering business serving local Asian flavored goods on the form of Bento(lunch box. Plate lunch, etc., as others names people may refer to) $ 7.75 for the large bento is my favorite. The have other items, such as sushi, salads, stir fried noodles, etc. Catering would be great for company parties, shared expense and organized pot lucks amongst many other events Located off No King Street on Robello Lane, parking is plentiful. A must try to an iconic catering company and definitely a tummy treat Note: 1)large bento consists of a large serving of white rice sprinkled with furikake nori, slice of luncheon meat, generous serving of boneless chicken thighs seasoned and grilled, teriyaki beef and Japanese pickles all for $ 7.75 a definite must try 2)taste is great. not too sweet(most local flavors are over powering with sweet but not here) 3)a definite«to-go» travel meal for me on my next journey to the continent…
