We liked the pansit, some days with a little more black pepper, but it’s okay. I think they give calamansi. That’s a plus. Unlike Max’s giving lemon. Lechon kawali is served same as Julie’z, onions and tomatoes cubed and mixed. Not my type but it’s crispy and fresh. Some days we order munggo soup and it’s good too. I’d like to suggest menu variety, maybe make food look more appealing, change up menu display, or change lights(corner is dark).

I love their food! They have the best Lechon, Pinakbet, and Chicken Papaya. Their customer service is lacking a bit, but the food makes up for it. The prices are reasonable.

This place is located in a food court warehouse that I didn’t know existed! This place completely satisfied my Filipino food craving. The dinuguan was amazing, though the meat was a little tough. The banana lumpia wasn’t the best, but it was pretty good. And the pancit! Overall, great Filipino food for a reasonable price!

I love Filipino food! I really love that there is a Filipino restaurant at the end of the street from my office in Mapunapuna. Not sure if this really qualifies as a restaurant since you don’t dine in but get what you want and take it to the seating area for about a dozen other little eateries. Whatever is the case the food is really exceptional. The chicken papaya soup was excellent, wish I’d ordered a gallon of it so I could eat it all weekend. The Lechon Kawali was awesome! Crispy pork skin with melt in your mouth meat, onions and tomatoes seasoned perfectly with patis as to not over power meat. Just a perfect rendition of one of my favorites. Also had the pinakbit and pancit, both were great. The pancit has two different noodles in it, hadn’t seen that before but my Japanese dining companion said its a local style thing. You can split the starch, half rice half pancit or go with just one. I’ve seen the Unilocal check ins here, and they don’t lie. This place is legit.

A small hole in the wall place in Moanalua 99,(old 99 ranch market). The food is Ilocano cooking just like mom’s cooking. When I’m tired of the fast food burger, generic chinese food, and taco’s, this is where I head to. Staff is very friendly and nice, a family business it looks like? The food never disappoints and so ono good. Price is a little higher than your normal fast food but who cares cuz its worth it. Home cooking served cafeteria style. Just go thru the line and pick what you want. Their banana lumpia is soooo crispy, I can eat a million. Well, maybe not a million but it’s good. Never soggy. Lemmie tell you about the lechon, that is a winnah!!! They can make it with tomato and onion, oh I can see my heart crying from all the greasssiness. Who cares, detox. Come check out this place whenever you are in the neighbor hood, nothing fancy, just good old fashion Ilocano food.

Ang pagkain ay masarap dito! Here be tasty food! Had a 2-entrée plate for lunch. For $ 8.75, I got pork adobo + pinakbet with pancit as my starch. Each dish was very flavorful with bits of pork or chicharon in the pancit and pinakbet. The pinakbet — with its smoky-tasting long beans, okra, bitter melon, and briny undertone of the patis accented by the creamy sweetness of eggplant — was the perfect foil to the sour pork adobo. Not too sweet. Not too vinegar-y. But jusss right ah? The adobo was«perps». Aunty Marialani would have been pleased.(See ). The pork, plastic fork-tender. I also ordered Kusina Korner’s lechon for a company feed the next day. Ten dollars($ 10) per pound. Worth it. Extraordinarily good. This ain’t your run-of-the-mill roast pork. The skin was especially airy and crispy yet meat juicy and tender. I mean pork rind crispy. How’d they do that? Double frying? Eight hundred and fifty degrees for 1 minute? Or 5° for 4 days? I’ll be back to try KK’s other dishes. Mmm… mongo beans, chicken papaya, sinigang na bangus. Suriin ang mga ito out.

Search for this place and we’re glad we found it. It is located inside a warehouse looking bldg marked Ranch 99(behind Sears). I ordered the 2 entrees, pinakbet and lechon kawali with ½ rice and ½ pancit. My husband ordered 2 entrees as well, Adobong Squid and Sinigang Boneless Bangus with ½ rice and pancit. I have to say that each entrée tasted very good. The pinakbet’s saltiness was just right, the lechon was chopped as you order and served with diced tomatoes and onions, the squid was cleaned well(hindi malansa) and tasted great, and the sinigang bangus was out of this world. As you can see the extra lrg portions given is something you don’t see often. The ladies behind the counter were so nice and accommodating. The one with the glasses told my husband if he wants more sinigang soup to come back.

I was relaxing while my car was being washed at Audi of Hawaii down the road from here and browsing through my Unilocal Mobile App. when I saw«THECHECK-IN» that made me go Ooh! Ooh! I knew about this place from previous reviews from my Unilocal Buddies and when I saw that Elite Yvonne M. had checked into here… Oh Boy! I wish I didn’t see that check-in because it started up this craving in me for some good Filipino food. Kusina will absolutely fill your craving for some Filipino food with good selection prepared dishes that are displayed right in front of you, Dayam! I want everything! When I got there they were still cooking another batch of pancit so I missed out on that. What I did order was the Pinakbet and the Lechon Kawali(which everyone raves about here) along with two scoops of rice, I initially wanted to do a half rice half pancit. So what did I think about my choices? I thought it was delicious and finished off the plate lunch except for a scoop of rice. I’m was really happy that I stopped in and got my Filipino food fix. I already know what I’m going to get on my next visit, it’s going to be the chocolate meat(dinuguan) and pancit bihon which I missed out on. See it does pay to check your Unilocal Mobile App and see what your friends are secretly eating! So if you’re craving some Baboy Lechon Kawali don’t deny your inner Oink and head down to Kusina because theeeeeeeyyy do it right! Isus!

After a doctor’s appointment at Kaiser, I decided to stop in and see what was going on in the former Ranch 99 location. Inside are a handful of food stands in a massive room with tons of tables and hardly any customers. It’s a pretty sad sight. Regardless, I was hungry so I checked Unilocal to see if any of these shops were worth a shot. Kusina Korner looked somewhat promising so I got some takeout Lechon Kawali. I was completely prepared for it to be aweful but I was surprised to find that it was actually pretty good. In fact, it might be some of the best takeout Lechon around, although this isn’t saying much since most places serve it way too dry or way too soggy. Overall, Kusina Korner surpassed my(very low) expectations and produced an above average version of one of my favorite filipino dishes. I think this place is «A-OK».

One of my favorite foods is lechon kawali. I don’t know much about Filipino food, but I do know what I like to eat. The lechon kawali here has a lot of crisp skin and the pork has a gamier taste than Chinese style roast pork. They don’t salt the pork. Ask for vinegar or lechon sauce to and you’re all set. They grow their own eggplant for the torta. It’s a little bit too oily for me. I love that if you order a plate you can split your starch half rice/half pancit. It’s like getting an extra dish! One of these days I’ll write a review about their other dishes, but for now it’s the lechon for me!

Filipino food at its finest! Now you don’t have to drive all the way to Waaaiiipaaahuuu(Waipahu)! The food here is so appetizing! So what if it’s at a food court! It’s all about the taste baby! FOOD Their portions are generous! I recommend the LECHONKAWALI! It’s crispy fried pork belly mixed with fresh tomatoes, onions and savory fish sauce! Sounds so simple? Oh, but it’s so tantalizing! This Lechon is not super fatty, so it’s possible to eat every piece! PORKADOBO is also scrumptious! If you are adventurous(like me), go ahead and try the DINIGUAN. This is a savory stew of meat simmered in pig blood. Like I said only for the bold. Their LONGINISA is sweet and savory! When you order you have the wonderful choice of getting half rice, half noodles! Talk about getting a little bit of everything! Mmmhmm, I like that! Masarap! ENVIRONMENT Located in Mapunapuna/Salt Lake at the 99 Ranch food court. You can sit anywhere you want and just relax wearing your hamajang clothes! Or just take out! Large parking lot. SERVICE Friendly service. Looks like it’s family that runs the joint. Quick and nice. TIP Hours are little shady because they close early when they run out of food. So if you are jonesing to try them just call or you may get disappointed like I did. CONCLUSION I come here all the time at least every other week! You gotta try their savory Filipino good! 5 stars because the quality of their food and service is spot on!

If your looking for some fast Filipino food, this is the place to go. They have a good variety of Filipino food. My fav is the lechon. It’s always crispy. Located in the 99 ranch market.

Food is great. Portions are huge. Price is reasonable. The staff is friendly Only negative comment I have is that they are usually closed by 6pm so it’s hard to pick up a plate here for dinner.

The previous place is much better. The portions are really. I had the chicken papaya soup and there was only two small pieces of chicken but four big slices of ginger.

Best pork adobo I’ve ever had! Very flavorful and tender. Living in Waipahu pork adobo is very easy to obtain and love eating the adobo here.

Let me start by saying that I don’t know anything about Filipino food except what my friends’ mothers and grandmothers have made for me. That being said I have the wife pick up dinner for me here at least twice a week since reading Racquel S’s review(that is why it only says 1 check in). My favorite items are the torta(eggplant) and the lechon kawali.

So glad This place took over the other restaurant, Lita’s! Got to talk to the new restaurant owner and very nice lady! She let me try their speciality beef marinated in kalamansi(in the tangerine family) and stir fried with onions. Honestly didn’t look much but when I had a bite of it I knew I should have trusted her. They have hot items ready and I really loved the food here. I ordered a 2 choice plate for $ 8.50. Ordered torta(eggplant breaded with eggs and fried) and sari-sari(vegetables with pork, soup based) with rice. The portions maybe a little smaller but I would rather have the food tastier than getting just so so. The quality of the food looks a lot more fresh and edible. And it they might just be portion controlling since they are fairly new. I would definitely certain here more often. The food was ready by 11 and the torta was out as a regular dish. That is one of my fav dishes so anytime I can find that will always have a special place in my tummy! The only thing that made this less one star was an employee was eating in front of the customers and just picking food from the hot dishes. He wasn’t using his hands or anything but I just thought that was a little unprofessional. And they didn’t have desserts! Hopefully that will change soon! That was just the only reason why it was short a star.
