This «Diamond in a Rough» was actually started by another general practitioner nearly 30 years ago inside a small hotel. He has since retired and now practices in Heaven. The surroundings can not be controlled so please don’t be fooled by the outside décor. The clinic was just renovated and expanded to include all the modern advances of medicine (computerized charting, email reminders, ePrescribing, etc).

It remains a little known secret which minimizes wait times to usually under 10 minutes, allowing patients to be seen sooner, and the doctor to spend more quality time with each patient.

Great service. My sister and I visited my dad for his 84^th B day.
She was not feeling well but we flew from Maui to Oahu anyway.
She felt worse in the am, so we walked on over, Busy bit great service and prompt.
After a shot and some rx she was feeling better later that day.

Dr Stephenson and his staff are amazing. I need an employment physical for myself and my wife for an overseas job. Some of the tests and paperwork the foreign government required was pretty obscure and/or cumbersome. Three different clinics told us they weren’t interested in our business.
Dr Stephenson and his staff gladly accepted our business, set us up with other clinics to complete tasks they are not set up to do (labs/chest X-rays) and completed the physical as well as the insanely difficult and tedious paperwork.
We would definitely go back and we highly recommended the Kuhio walk in clinic.

I was worried about my health when i visit honolulu for vacation. I got sinus attack while descending from plane and everyday morning was finding blood in the cough (first few spits only). So i visited this clinic. This was walk-in clinic and that is the best thing about it. Dr. Keith Stephenson was really helpful. He clearly made me understand why i got sinus attack and also the reason for blood in my cough spit (thankfully it was not serious). His words gave me lot of confidence that nothing is serious and peace of mind to enjoy my vacation. I would recommend this to anyone who are in need of urgent care while visiting honolulu.

Really happy to have this clinic at hand. Employees are nice and sometimes even funny. Doctor has a really nice personality. He asked rational questions about my condition and health history. And what I like the most — he didn’t prescript a big list of medicine, how some other doctors do. At first he gave a helpful recommendations about how to avoid the illness next time. Then gave me a medicine prescription. No more then enough. So, it’s good to know I can get professional advice and reasonable amount of medicine at this clinic.

I developed a health issue while visiting Honolulu and needed to go to a clinic to get a prescription. I was worried about seeing a «doc-in-the-box» but Kuhio Clinic was able to get me in immediately so I went. Dr. Stephenson and his team were kind and efficient, I’m glad I went, and I would go again if I had to.
Apparently it was a kind of slow day, so I was able to get in with about a 5-minute wait! I was able to use my BCBS insurance to pay for the visit, so only had a co-pay.
Dr. Stephenson’s manner and check-up was thorough and well-done: not a lot of doctors ask good questions about family history or personal history, but he did. Additionally, he did the basic physical exam that some doctors skip nowadays. He not only was able to treat my issue, but gave me good advice for future prevention and care. He took some blood tests and called me the next day — even though it was a holiday and the clinic was closed!
Overall I would recommend this clinic to anyone who needs it. I suppose it could be a problem on a busier day, but I had a great experience.

Dr Stephenson is very professional and accommodating. Price was reasonable and recoverable through your medical coverage when you get home. If no insurance not a problem. $ 270 for antibiotic shot, visit stitch removal and a course of antibiotics. As good a care provider as any I have had in BC Canada. Highly recommend the clinic/Doctor

This clinic does not take insurance and mostly takes cash but… If you need something and tell the Doctor the truth he will write just about anything. Yes, I admit that to most people that this seems shady but most of the doctors on this island are too influenced by the government and won’t write certain medications. This doc has no problem giving you what you need. And no, I’m not a druggie or crackhead. Lol
